  • Patent number: 9819472
Abstract: A method for reducing cross cell interference in a wireless time division duplex communication system using code division multiple access, the system having at least one user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) is disclosed. The method begins by measuring an interference level of each timeslot at the BS. A timeslot is eliminated for additional uplink communication if the measured interference level exceeds a first threshold. UEs in nearby cells that are large interferers are identified and their downlink timeslot usage is gathered. A timeslot is eliminated for uplink communication for a large interferer UE that uses the timeslot for downlink communication.

  • Patent number: 9794079
Abstract: A novel method for performing replication of messages in a network that bridges one or more physical networks to an overlay logical network is provided. A physical gateway provides bridging between network nodes of a physical network and virtual machines in the overlay logical network by serving as an endpoint of the overlay logical network. The physical gateway does not replicate messages from the bridged physical network to destination endpoints in the overlay logical network directly, but instead tunnels the message-to-be-replicated to a designated tunnel endpoint in the overlay logical network. The designated tunnel endpoint in turn replicates the message that was tunneled to it to other endpoints in the overlay logical network.

  • Patent number: 9788343
Abstract: A wireless communication base station device, terminal device, and method have reduced signaling while maintaining high scheduling gain. A judgment unit pre-stores a correspondence between the number of code words and the number of clusters to reduce the maximum value for the number of clusters allocated to each terminal as the number of code words increases, and thus determines the maximum value for the number of clusters based on the number of code words acquired. Based on the number of code words for a transmission signal from a terminal, an estimated value for the reception quality, and the maximum value for the number of clusters that is output by the judgment unit, a scheduling unit schedules the allocation of the transmission signal transmitted by each terminal to a transmission band frequency (frequency resource) so as not to exceed the maximum value for the number of clusters.

  • Patent number: 9781622
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for making network optimization decisions based on observed network node performance information. Network nodes may continuously report performance measurement information to network servers. Observers may request registration with the servers and access to the mode measurement information. The observer may specify a measurement threshold that, when met, causes the server to report node measurement data to the observer. The node measurement data enables the observer to make network optimization and control decisions. An optimal radio frequency might be selected; a node might switch between different gateways or cause a handoff from one gateway to another for efficient traffic routing. A user could observe measurement data for friends and receive notice when friends are in close proximity or engaged in like activity such that a social contextual community might be formed.

  • Patent number: 9774536
Abstract: Generally, this disclosure describes techniques for buffer management based on link status. A host platform may include a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) and a network controller that includes a buffer used by the BMC. When a network controller is in a lower power link state, the BMC may attempt to send data to the link partner which causes the network controller to transition out of the low power state. However, this transition may take longer than the buffer's ability to buffer the incoming flow from the BMC. Accordingly, to avoid the need for larger buffer space, a buffer manager is used to provide flow control management of the buffer based on link status.
