  • Patent number: 7114281
Abstract: A fishing rod holding apparatus that can be mounted alone or in series to a vessel such as a boat, wherein the assembly includes a mounting base, a channel for receiving and attaching one or more fishing rod holding assemblies. Each rod-holding assembly comprises a fishing rod holding tube and a spring biased pivoting assembly. The pivoting assembly allows the angle of the fishing rod holder to be adjusted manually by depressing a button while simultaneously repositioning the rod holder. Once the desired angle is achieved, the assembly locks in position by simply releasing the button.

  • Patent number: 7114286
Abstract: The system includes a capsule member made from a material which is not dissolvable in water but is dissolvable in the digestive fluids of a predator species. The capsule contains a material which, following ingestion by a predator (game/sport) species, results in death of the predator species. A connecting member is secured to the capsule, and is adapted to be secured to a prey (bait) species such that when the prey species is released in a body of water, such as a lake, in the vicinity of the predator species, the predator species is likely to consume the prey species along with the capsule and shortly thereafter dies, thereby reducing the number of predator species.

  • Patent number: 7111426
Abstract: Device for winding and unwinding the lower part of fishing line (cast) is a part of equipment for fishing with hook, by which it is solved the problem of visibility in water of lower reinforced parts of lines made of materials visible in water. These parts represent one of the most loaded parts of fishing equipment, because they are subjected to large tensile and gliding stresses. The device includes a two-part housing in which there is the hollow cylinder on which the reinforced lower part of the line is wound by a blade coil spring. In the stage of attracting the fish, the reinforced lower part of the line remains invisible and in the stage of swallowing, tearing and pulling the bait with the device, reinforced lower part of the line is pulled out of the device. The pulled out, reinforced lower part of the line cannot be bitten through or torn off by the fish, that enables the reliable catch.

  • Patent number: 7104005
Abstract: A mole trap has a pair of spring-loaded jaws. A platform is pivotally connected to the jaws to limit the travel of the trap into the ground and to stabilize the trap on the ground when it is set. A lever assembly forces the jaws open and sets the trap. An adjustable trigger mechanism is positioned on the ground above a mole burrow. The disturbance of a mole traveling beneath the trigger causes the lever assembly to collapse, thereby permitting the jaws to close and destroy the animal.

  • Patent number: 7104003
Abstract: A quick-release snag resistant fishing net retainer designed to securely hold a fishing net to a boat. The net retainer includes a compressive retainer and a mounting means. The retainer is formed with a resilient arm that is configured to create a neck between the resilient arm and either the retainer or a mounting means through which a rim of the fishing net may be forced. Once the rim has been forced through the neck, the resilient arm returns to its initial position thereby securing the fishing net. The mounting means releasably attaches the retainer to the boat and may include retainer bands or screws to attach the retainer to a post on the boat, or a flat surface mounting implement to attach the retainer to any flat surface of the boat. An implement guard may be incorporated to improve the snag resistance of the retainer and minimize tripping hazards.

  • Patent number: 7100324
Abstract: A flexible bag and attachment mechanism is provided that may be used in a variety of applications where it is desirable to attach a flexible bag to a device or machine. Some examples of such device may include an insect trap, a grinder, volumetric or weight based filler and liquid dispenser, food or perishable storage, etc. According to one embodiment, the bag portion of the device is disposable and the attachment device is reusable. In one variation a tapered neck is attached to the opening of the bag. The tapered neck connects within a tapered collar of the device by way of a press fitting. The neck is flexible so that it can be deformed to a shape that permits it to enter into the collar, and is resilient so that it can return to its original tapered ring configuration to engage the tapered inner circumference of the collar. The bag may be attached to a dispenser for dispensing material. The dispenser may be in part, a grinder or mixer.

  • Patent number: 7047687
Abstract: An inductive device for fishing. The device includes an inductive circuit board, an inductive coil, an inductive shaft and a spring. The device includes of a lighting circuit board, a plurality of LEDs and a pedestal. In the process of sea fishing, since the float base is designed with a flat bottom, it is maintained at a fixed place to indicate where the fish hook is without being driven back to the shore by waves. The inductive shaft while being pulled down by a caught fish, will leave the induced range of inductive coil, at this moment, and the central LEDs will emit red light and the out-border blue LEDs will continue to light. If there is no catch of fish on the fish hook, the central LEDs will not emit red light, but the out-border LEDs will continue to emit blue light.

  • Patent number: 7043865
Abstract: A floating decoy system is provided for agitating the surface of a water body on which the device is deployed in a manner that is attractive to live game animals (e.g. live waterfowl). The system includes a frame, which is disposed partially above and partially below the surface of the water and suspended from a plurality of floating means. The device also includes an agitator assembly, which is slidably mounted to the frame above the surface of the water and produces ripples on the water surface and the sound of splashing water. The ripples and sound of splashing water are intended to simulate an active area where wild game are swimming, feeding, and interacting. Additionally, an airborne decoy may be mounted atop the frame to give the device added attractiveness to wild game. An alternative embodiment requires the removal of floating means and the anchoring of the frame to the bottom of the water body.
