  • Patent number: 10917779
Abstract: A system, methods, nodes and computer program for redistributing a registration of a UE from a first MSC to a second MSC is provided. The first MSC and the second MSCs are members of a pool of MSCs. The UE is registered in the first MSC and is attached to the first MSC via a packet control node such as MME or SGSN. The first MSC receives an order from an O&M center to redistribute the registrations of UEs in the pool. The first MSC sends a redistribution order to the packet control node. The packet control node triggers the UE to perform a routing or tracking area update procedure and triggers a location area update procedure to the second MSC, causing the UE to be registered to the second MSC.

  • Patent number: 10912053
Abstract: A method includes receiving, via a core network in accordance with a regional data routing plan, an affiliation request from a data source device based on a first level regional affiliation of the data source device and a first computing entity. The method further includes determining whether a second level regional affiliation is substantially equal to the first level regional affiliation. When the second level regional affiliation is not substantially equal to the first level regional affiliation, the method further includes identifying a second computing entity based on the second level regional affiliation and sending a notification message to the second computing entity regarding the data source device being affiliated with the second computing entity. The method further includes broadcasting a gateway message to the core network to change the regional data routing plan such that data from the data source device is routed to the second computing entity.

  • Patent number: 10908299
Abstract: Corrected User Equipment (UE) positioning is based at least in part on signaling that is associated with UE inertial measurements. Such measurements are used in some embodiments to track UE locations along trajectories of UE movement and develop or obtain a model to subsequently predict UE positioning corrections based on channel estimates of a wireless channel. For example, reference signaling may be transmitted by a UE, and the UE then receives positioning corrections or corrected positioning in response to the reference signaling.

  • Patent number: 10911935
Abstract: A GTP firewall device registers with a cloud-based GTP GSN objects server to receive IR.21 records for each of a plurality of carriers for which roaming data services are authorized for roaming mobile devices of the plurality of carriers. The cloud-based GTP GSN objects server distributes IR.21 records and updates to the plurality of carriers. The GTP firewall device receives substantially real-time updates to the IP addresses for IR.21 records of carriers from the cloud-based GTP GSN objects server. The updates are responsive to addition of new IP addresses or removal of deleted IP address by a carrier at an IR.21 IP address server, for subsequent authorizations.

  • Patent number: 10867234
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and tangible non-transitory carrier media encoded with one or more computer programs that can determine the path or route most likely navigated by a mobile target are described. In accordance with particular embodiments, the most likely path or route is determined based on path-based scoring of position estimates obtained from different types of complementary locationing signal sources. Instead of fusing the position data derived from the different types of signal sources, these particular embodiments determine the most likely path navigated by the mobile target based on an independent aggregation of the position estimates derived from complementary signals of different source types.

  • Patent number: 10869260
Abstract: System and methods are provided to create representations of geographic areas. Such representations enable users to search for items and services of interest and to quickly locate and utilize such items and services. Representations are created using user preferences thus reducing the amount of information presented to a user, i.e., user preferences control the contents of a representation. Control APIs contained within a representation may be used to control devices represented in a representation or to manufacture them using 3-D printing technologies. Methods to learn user preferences via his movements and other actions and impose a user's preferences upon an environment are shown. Some details of the invention are described by applying the invention to problems in retail marketing and figures depicting an implementation illustrate certain aspects of the invention.

  • Patent number: 10863019
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided for analyzing an incoming telephonic event (e.g., call, message, and/or notification) to a mobile device during operation of a vehicle in relation to a combination of factors to determine if the incoming telephonic event is to be allowed to be received during vehicle operation. The mobile device associated with a driver of the vehicle may receive the incoming telephonic event during operation of the vehicle. An incoming telephonic event analysis application operating on the mobile device may apply a soft block preventing the incoming telephonic event from being displayed on the mobile device. Based on the incoming telephonic event data, vehicle operational data, user preferences, hands-free device activation, and driver and road ratings, the incoming telephonic event analysis application may determine whether or not to maintain the soft block or allow the incoming telephonic event to be displayed on the mobile device during operation of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10841924
Abstract: A basic bandwidth wireless local area network (WLAN) device or station (STA) is assigned to a secondary channel. The basic bandwidth STA may be a 20 MHz STA. On the secondary channel, the basic bandwidth STA operates in a wideband mode recovering received data transmitted from an access point (AP) as part of a high bandwidth physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU). The STA and the AP can be members of a basic service set (BSS). The high bandwidth PPDU may be, for example, a 40 MHz, 60 MHz, or 80 MHz PPDU. Once on the secondary channel, the STA relies on the AP to perform channel sensing and scheduling activities, thus reducing power consumption at the STA and increasing the efficiency of the BSS. Several signaling formats are provided for indicating the secondary channel that the STA is assigned to or requests to move to.

  • Patent number: 10840970
Abstract: A method and devices are disclosed that increase the range of active geo-location from the airborne measuring station as compared with known methods by increasing the effective receive sensitivity of the airborne measuring station. In one embodiment, this may be accomplished by transmitting a burst of predetermined ranging packets and recording the correlation values of each received bit stream of the response packets with the corresponding predetermined bit streams for each of the transmitted ranging packets within a preset reception window. A rolling maximum is then performed on the correlation values in each reception window. At the end of the burst, the rolling maximum results are summed and the time of the peak value is determined.
