  • Patent number: 11005990
Abstract: Generating a contact firewall for protecting participants of a sender-controlled media (SCM) platform may include receiving an indication that a non-participant sender of the SCM platform has initiated contact with a participant recipient, using sender information associated with the contact instance to pole participants of the platform regarding a spammer status value for the sender, aggregating the spammer status values, and, based on a comparison of the aggregated spammer status values with a spammer threshold, causing future contacts from the sender to be rejected by the platform. Similar techniques may be implemented for generating a contact firewall for protecting members of a call group.

  • Patent number: 11006380
Abstract: This disclosure relates to an electronic device for wireless communications, and a wireless communication method. The electronic device comprises one or more processors, wherein each processor is configured to respectively conduct space-domain filtering on received signals of a plurality of antennas, respectively; estimate the frequency shift of corresponding received signals based on the signals, on which space-domain filtering is conducted, of various antennas; estimate, according to the estimated frequency shift and a parameter of the space-domain filtering, a Doppler frequency shift generated by the relative motion between transceiving ends of the received signals and a carrier frequency offset generated by frequency inconsistency of the transceiving ends; and conduct frequency preprocessing on sent signals of the antennas according to the estimated Doppler frequency shift, and/or control to feed back information related to the estimated Doppler frequency shift to a signal sending end.

  • Patent number: 11006268
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for determining technological capability of devices whose technological capability are unknown. The devices can be users of a wireless telecommunication network. A device, such as a cell phone, has a type allocation code (TAC) which can indicate a make and model of the device. Once the make and model of the device are known, the technical capability of the device is known. Certain TAC numbers, however, do not indicate the make and model of the device, and thus a device's technical capability is unknown. To determine the technological capability of the devices, a machine learning model is trained using usage data of the devices with known technological capability. After training, the machine learning model can be deployed to predict the technological capability of devices with unrecognizable TAC numbers by providing usage data associated with the devices with unrecognizable TAC numbers.

  • Patent number: 10993075
Abstract: A tracking device can securely communicate with a secondary device. The secondary device can provide locations associated with the tracking device to a tracking system. When the secondary device determines that the tracking device is lost (for instance, in response to no longer receiving communications from the tracking device), the secondary device can provide additional locations associated with the secondary device to the tracking system. The tracking system can store locations received before and after the tracking device was lost, and can provide these locations to the user for display within a map interface, enabling a user to digitally retrace the user's steps in order to aid the user in locating the lost tracking device.

  • Patent number: 10955520
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings is provided. An identifier-tracker pair includes a tracker that is paired with an identifier and is also associated with an object. One or more reader systems each obtain readings identifying the tracker at one or more points in time. A location of the tracker is determined based on the readings at each point in time and the locations of the tracker are stored. The identifier is received from a user and the tracker paired with the received identifier is determined. A current location of the tracker is identified by selecting a most recent stored location. A display provides the current location of the tracker to the user as a location of the object.

  • Patent number: 10959152
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for selecting at least one SIM card for data communication at a wireless communication device which is capable of housing a plurality of SIM cards. When a switching condition is satisfied, the wireless communication device selects a second SIM card group, and disconnects one or more connections established using any non-second group SIM card. Non-second group SIM cards are SIM cards that are not in the second SIM card group. A selected SIM card from the second SIM card group is then used for data communications. The steps are repeated until (i) the switching condition is no longer satisfied, (ii) no more SIM cards selected from the second SIM card group can be used for data communications or (iii) no more connection is made using non-second group SIM cards.

  • Patent number: 10944863
Abstract: A system may facilitate communication between a messaging platform associating a hash tag with a message and a content matching platform. A natural language processing (NLP) facility may produce at least one of an understanding, theme, emotion, and intent of a message. A metadata matching facility may identify candidate hash tags by determining similarity from a pool of hash tags with an output of the NLP, where the content matching facility communicates at least one of the candidate hash tags to the messaging platform. In another aspect, a method may include communicating a message to a content matching platform, and processing text of the message with NLP to generate NLP output including at least one of a theme, understanding, intent, and emotion of the message. A candidate hash tag may then be determined and communicated based on similarity of the NLP output with a plurality of hash tags.

  • Patent number: 10931819
Abstract: A sender-controlled media (SCM) platform may capture live content by a call-originating device (such as audio, video, and text input by a caller), process the live content to determine an intent, select a visual element based on the intent, and present the visual element on the call-originating device to produce a caller story that can be forwarded to a recipient. In another aspect, when a sender is not a participant of a SCM platform but a recipient is, content pertaining to the sender may be gathered for generating and delivering a SCM data structure. In yet another aspect, an SCM application may interface with phone screen controls so that content in a received SCM data structure can be presented on an electronic display of a phone while a phone call is in progress. Further, the SCM application may monitor user actions for updating the SCM data structure.
