Abstract: A toy brick system is provided having a plurality of bricks each of which has a post extending from first end of a body of the brick and having a socket at a second end. The post in each brick in the plurality is engageable with a socket of an adjacently place brick in a removable rotational engagement enabling curved and angled configuration of assembled structures. Engagement and disengagement from the rotational engagement can only occur at a specific engagement angle between adjacent bricks thereby maintaining the rotational engagement of adjacent bricks once engaged and rotated out of the engagement angle. The bricks are configurable in a linear fashion or with curved exterior walls for forming curved structures.

Abstract: A ball game apparatus in which movements of a coded ball (20) are detected by detector units (100, 206) and an automatic indication of a player's score is given, where data relating to the ball (20) are stored in a database connected to the detector units (100, 206), the data including the code of a ball (20) and a code relating to a player to whom the ball (20) has been allocated, the ball (20) being configured to temporarily store, and to intermittently transfer to the detector units (100, 206) and thence to the database, data relating to the ball's movements. A rechargeable battery (40) is contained within the ball (20), and is arranged to be charged by a battery charging system. Features of the game may be controlled by means of a player's mobile telephone.

Abstract: A resetting target system includes a reset subassembly and a target subassembly which are separately positionable along a support rail. An arm of a reset plate is removably coupled to a reset bar. The reset bar is inserted through the target subassembly. When the reset bar is actuated by striking the reset plate, the reset bar pivots a latch of the target subassembly and frees a target from a latched position. One reset bar may engage with one or more target subassemblies, and multiple reset bars may be interconnected and coupled to a single reset plate. The target system is modular, adjustable, and easy to assemble.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a shooting target mounting bracket with improved portability, versatility, and safety over existing devices. The mounting bracket is easily adjustable for height, compactable for transportation, and compatible with existing target posts and existing target shapes.

Abstract: A golf putting game includes at least one putting green defining a putting surface and a plurality of putting cups disposed within the putting surface at a different location on the putting green. Each putting cup has an exterior housing and an interior core disposed within and removably attached to the exterior housing. The interior core is removable from the exterior housing with the putting cup disposed within the putting surface of the putting green. Each putting cup is illuminated by a different predetermined color and assigned a different predetermined number of base points corresponding to the predetermined color. A player score is determined from a number of putting strokes made by a player to putt a putting ball into the putting cup and the predetermined number of base points assigned to the putting cup.

Abstract: Provided is a target support stand having a base comprising a pair of leg units with body portions situated substantially parallel to each other. Each body portion includes a first pair of corresponding fastener openings. A socket plate has a socket notch extending to an edge thereof and a second pair of fastener openings corresponding in position with the first pairs of fastener openings in the body portions. A separable upright support member has a tab portion sized to be received by the socket notch. The socket plate being clamped between leg units of the base by fasteners extending through the first fastener openings in the body portions and the second fastener openings in the socket plate to define at least one socket for removably receiving the tab portion of the upright support member in the socket notch between body portions.

Abstract: A method for playing disc golf on a course having a plurality of targets includes the steps of (a) obtaining a random selection device configured to randomly select one of a plurality of different types of throws, and one of a plurality of different types of discs, (b) the player activates the random selection device to obtain a randomly selected throw, and a randomly selected disc, and (c) the player throws the randomly selected disc with the randomly selected throw at the target. The steps are repeated for each target until the course is completed. The random selection device can be a set of dice.

Abstract: A target stand for supporting target disks above a ground surface includes a rigid support stand that comprises two side members each having a top end, a bottom end, and a central area, and in some embodiments a cross bar spanning between the central areas of the side members. A target supply mechanism comprises at least a front plate and a rear plate, a target disk track being defined therebetween from a top edge to a bottom edge between the plates. Each side edge of the target supply mechanism is fixed to the top end of one of the side members. Abstract: A portable outdoor game that may include a ramp, a target, and one or more projectiles. The ramp may include an elongated runner and an elevation structure. The elevation structure may be positioned at one end of the runner and lift that end of the runner from a playing surface, creating an angled incline in the runner relative to the playing surface. Projectiles may roll or slide across the runner in the direction of the elevation structure. The projectiles may become airborne after traveling over the elevation structure and land within or near the target.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for automatically detecting and tracking hockey goal events during hockey play are provided. Example embodiments provide an Automated Hockey Goal Detection System or goal detection system, which enables goal events during hockey play to be automatically and immediately detected and notifications generated therefor and for automatically tracking and communicating attributes of such events such as puck speed and location. Automated event information may be automatically recorded and/or communicated to other devices, such as a remote computing device, to analyze player or game effectiveness. An example goal detection system utilizes an infrared transmitting hockey puck and an infrared sensing goal frame with one or more sets of multiple infrared sensors arranged around the perimeter of the goal frame. The goal frame may include a control unit that determines the location and speed of the puck within the goal frame by evaluation of the active sensors.

Abstract: A board game is provided having a seven-by-seven play area and ten player tokens for each player. Each player's tokens are positioned on the play area in two rows of five along opposing sides of the play area. Players alternate turns, taking up to five orthogonal movements from one playing space to another on each turn, the five movements being allocated across up to five of the player's player tokens. When a player token is orthogonally surrounded on at least three sides by opposing player tokens, that player token is removed from the play area. Play continues until one player has only two player tokens remaining on the play area, at which time the opposing player is declared the winner.

Abstract: The present invention is a training apparatus and method-of-use for developing a hockey player's stick handling techniques to carry the puck forward and perform a variety of shots. The apparatus includes a collapsible platform which is utilized by athletes and trainers that includes drills and guides that promote stickhandling skills, teach proper techniques in four different categories of shooting, and encourage correct posture for skating and stickhandling motion.

Abstract: A shooting target lifter includes a projectile-resistant tubular housing configured for coupling to a base of a falling shooting target including a reusable shooting target rotatably connected to the base. A target lifter arm is rotatably connected to the tubular housing, and an actuator is within the tubular housing with a first end pivotably mounted to the tubular housing and a second end pivotably mounted to the target lifter arm. A free end of the target lifter arm is configured to lift the reusable shooting target from the down position to the upright position when the ram is extended from the retracted position to the extended position. The shooting target lifter further includes a controller within the tubular housing configured to, in response to a wireless signal, output a control signal to extend the ram to reset the reusable shooting target from a down position to an upright position.

Abstract: An example target pin is disclosed having a body for a removable shaft. The body has a base and a support structure configured to retain the removable shaft substantially perpendicular to the base when the removable shaft is assembled in the support structure of the body. The removable shaft is assembled in the body and is then ready for use by press it through a target into a target backing to hold the target securely in place on the target backing during archery or other target shooting.

Abstract: An automated system is provided for scoring and tracking pin position and pin placement, gameplay, and playing time during games of FOWLING™. A modified pin with a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag affixed to or implanted in the pin provides tracking of individual pins during gameplay. A RFID reader is used to poll the set of pins on the platform to determine when a pin has left a set position. A processor controls the RFID tag reader and a clock so as to track pin position versus time. A pin position array is used in conjunction with conductive or magnetic disks on the bottom portion or surface of the pin for tracking pin position, pin placement, and gameplay. The conductive or magnetic disks complete circuit junctions in the array that confirm the presence of a standing pin and when a pin has been dislodged and presumably toppled over.
