Abstract: The present invention relates to a target stand that is modular, configurable, lightweight, and portable. Preferred embodiments have adjustable configurations to enable the target stand to be utilized for different types of gun targets, including rifle and pistol. The target stand disclosed has a base assembly and a cap member preferably constructed of metal. The base assembly includes two support pieces and three transverse pieces that are connected using cut out grooves within the pieces. Multiple types and sizes of target supports can be connected to the base assembly, such as wooden connector posts. Multiple target support sections can be welded to the transverse pieces. The target supports can be secured to the base assembly and cap member using fasteners.

Abstract: A training device that is easily and temporarily attachable to any existing sled training device. The training device includes a flexible, elongated plank that resides between an athlete's legs and helps train the athlete to maintain a proper stance width while blocking or pushing a sled. An embodiment includes a magnet secured to the plank at a first end of the plank. The magnet engages the sled and is detached from the sled when the athlete pushes the sled with an improperly narrow stance width. As a result, the athlete experiences a tactile and visual aid to distinguish between proper and improper stance width while pushing a sled.

Abstract: Balloons and related components and manufacturing methods. Various embodiments provide balloons which define elastomeric balloon bodies and necks. The balloon bodies define body thicknesses and filled and unfilled internal volumes. Tension in the balloon bodies gives rise to internal pressures when the balloons are filled. The necks couple with the bodies and define neck thickness which differ from the body thicknesses. Various embodiments provide check valve for use with the balloons and/or various liquids. These check valves can comprise a ball that further comprises a generally spherical substrate of fine particles of a biodegradable material and a coating on the substrate. The coating can be made of another biodegradable material. Combined, the coating and the generally spherical substrate form the check valve ball mid possess a density differing from the water density.

Abstract: The present invention includes a mechanical roping apparatus and method for practicing animal roping, the apparatus comprising: an animal assembly that provides an up and down motion and simulates a hopping motion by the animal; a leg assembly mounted at the rear of the frame wherein the leg members are movable with respect to the frame and simulate a running motion; an actuation assembly to move the leg members from a forward position to a rear position; and one or more indicia that indicates to the user when the leg members are in an optimal position for roping, and then they are not accessible for roping and then the legs are accessible for roping.

Abstract: In a foil balloon dispensing apparatus folded or rolled-up foil balloons are accommodated and are each provided with an adapter part including an attachment section connected to a foil balloon and a guide section which is removably connected to the attachment section and which is disconnected from the attachment section after the foil balloon is inflated but both sections remain attached to one another by a string wound up on the adapter part and connected to the attachment and guide sections for holding and guiding the foil balloon after its removal from the dispensing apparatus.

Abstract: A roller skating rink for players to play a skating game utilizes one or more game implements. A skating track is made from a plurality of track sections. The roller skating rink includes concave channel sections on one side of the track sections and has a lower end and an upper end that are substantially vertically aligned. One or more propelling devices are each adapted to propel one of the game implements into the roller skating rink. One or more scoring receptacles are situated for receiving one or more of the game implements therein proximate the upper end of the concave peripheral wall. A method of game play is further disclosed.

Abstract: The invention disclosed comprises an apparatus, method of using, assembling and stowing the apparatus, and a kit including the apparatus and components for training players to achieve lift when kicking a football that requires an angled trajectory. The invention functions to provide a physical point of reference and visual target for a kicker to establish consistent kicking skills and achieve predictable angles. The apparatus is sturdy, easily and reversibly disassembled, and stored as part of a durable, packable kit to organize the required training gear. The method includes a series of steps whereby the apparatus is assembled; a kicker kicks the ball; if the angle of the kick is sufficient to lift the ball over the apparatus it will go over the visual target, if not it will fall under the visual target. The kit comprises at least a carry bag with various pockets for the device and related equipment.

Abstract: A shooting range facility that is for recreational or sporting purposes includes a target support plate, which can be tilted according to several different possible inclinations with respect to a reference plane, and at least one target representation intended to be displayed in a plane of the target support plate. Each target representation has several different displayable deformations, respectively associated with the several different possible inclinations, these different deformations being designed so that the orthogonal projections thereof in the reference plane are all identical when they are respectively displayed in the plane of the target support plate according to the inclinations with which they are respectively associated.

Abstract: Presently disclosed grip assemblies provide for a selectively removable and replaceable grip for a shaft. Such grip assemblies include a grip sleeve and a grip liner at least partially fixed to an inner grip surface of the grip sleeve. The grip liner is configured to expand as the grip sleeve and grip liner are positioned on the shaft. The grip liner includes a liner feature that engages a shaft feature, which may be integrally formed on the shaft, or may be formed on a shaft sheath on the shaft. Engagement of the liner feature with the shaft feature may align the grip sleeve to the shaft and may substantially prevent rotation of the grip sleeve with respect to the shaft once the grip sleeve is on the shaft. Presently disclosed grip sleeves may be selectively removed from the shaft without damaging the grip sleeve, and without requiring solvents or specialized tools.

Abstract: A target assembly configured to be assembled in a stowed position and a deployed position includes a main frame, first and second support legs removably coupled to the main frame in the stowed and deployed positions, and first and second platform bases removably coupled to the support legs in the stowed and deployed positions. In the stowed position the first and second support legs and first and second platform bases are positioned within a footprint of main frame.

Abstract: An adjustable wall mount assembly for a basketball goal is provided. The adjustable wall mount assembly may include a frame, a pair of supports, an actuator, a pair of actuator brackets, and a support bracket. The pair of support brackets may each be rotatably coupled to a respective side member of the frame and adapted to be rotatably coupled to a backboard. The pair of actuator brackets may be rotatably coupled to the frame and the actuator. The support bracket may be adapted to be rotatably coupled to the backboard of the basketball goal, rotatably coupled to the frame, and rotatably coupled to the actuator.

Abstract: A system for practicing roping of a steer may include a towing apparatus configured to tow a steer roping practice apparatus across a ground surface, a central anchor device configured to define a fixed anchor point with respect to the ground surface, an elongated guide member attachable at a first end to the central anchor device and attachable at a second end to the towing apparatus to guide the towing apparatus along a circular path about the central anchor device, and a turning device configured to engage the elongated guide member between the central anchor device and the towing apparatus in a manner causing the towing apparatus to make a turn on the ground surface from the circular path. The system may also include a mechanical steer roping practice apparatus movable across the ground surface and removably hitched to the towing apparatus.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a shooting target with improved portability and safety over existing devices. The target uses a pin system for storing the legs, which are easily removed and used to form a base. In addition, accessories are described for a shooting target system and method such as a wheel base, side targets, a swinging “dueling target” system, and “popper” side targets.

Abstract: An enclosure for aiding a user in learning how to repeatedly bounce a ball upward off a club generally comprises an upright side wall surrounding a confined space; the side wall having a front and a middle portion that is vertical and mechanically reflective, and an opening in the front of the wall for insertion of the club and dimensioned for allowing a user to manipulate the club. Many types of balls and bats could be used. For example, a golf ball and golf club can be used with an enclosure dimensioned to facilitate learning to bounce a golf ball. A combination includes a ball, a club, and enclosure. A method includes acquiring the ball, club, and enclosure; inserting the club into the confined space; upwardly propelling the ball from the club; and attempting to repetitively bounce the ball on the club within the enclosure.

Abstract: This three-dimensional (3D) gaming platform provides snap-together construction components and designs for building a variety of custom, multi-level game boards (grid-sets) on which players (one or more) can play a wide variety of included and extensible logic and strategy games. The invention includes sets of player pieces as well as custom “node” components that modify the behavior of spaces on the grid-set. Players may use additional grid-set construction parts and nodes to modify the physical board during play. The gaming platform enables an extensible variety of games as well as opportunities for further customizing grid-sets, game types, player pieces, 3D printable extensions, and virtual digital implementations.

Abstract: A training/practice/amusement projectile comprises a ball with optimal baffling and rebounding characteristics for play and training of hand-eye coordination and motor skills. The ball generally includes a combination of bounce and baffling elements. In one embodiment the bounce and baffling elements respectively comprise densely packed loops of filament, and individual filament strands of lesser density, both radiating from a core of the ball. A novel method of fabrication includes winding wider and narrower loops of filament, bundling same together at a cinched core, and then cutting the wider loops to form the strands radiating outward inched core to impart a generally spherical outer shape to the ball.
