The base defines a cavity for storing art supplies, and the lid is configured to support a painting surface. The base and lid are inter-connected with a slide bar assembly. Use of the slide bar assembly and hinge assembly enable the lid to be secured in a number of positions. Preferably, first, second and third legs of adjustable length are pivotally attached to the base and moveable between folded positions and extended, supportive positions.
Abstract: A mounting structure of the present invention for connecting a first member and a second member to each other comprises first bracket means attached to said first and second members and fastened together by means of a bolt and nut. The mounting structure further comprises second bracket means attached to said first and second members below said first bracket means. The second bracket means includes a first abutment member attached to one of said first and second members and having a vertical wall portion. The second bracket means further includes a second abutment member attached to the other of said first and second members and having first and second abutment portions vertically and horizontally spaced from each other.
Abstract: A method for stabilizing a roof-resting vehicle includes the steps of leaning one or more, buttress stands against a rear fender of the vehicle, passing a chain under a rear end of the vehicle from one of the buttress stands to another, tightening the slack from the chain by pulling the chain-grab end fittings towards the fenders at the vehicle undercarriage, using a ratchet strap, restraining the chain from sliding of the rear end of the vehicle by attaching a ratchet strap to the chain near a trunk lid of the vehicle, and passing the chain up to the vehicle undercarriage in front of a wheel assembly of the vehicle, attaching a ratchet strap at a base of the one or more buttress stands and tightening, and placing wedges in front of the opposite end of the vehicle.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a spreader mechanism for supporting the legs (11) of a tripod erect, comprising a hub (13) having a central axis, three arms (14) pivotally mounted on the hub at positions equi-spaced around the hub to swing with respect to the hub axis between extended and folded positions. A drive mechanism (19, 22) coordinates movement of the arms so that all three arms remain in the same relationship to the hub axis throughout the range of movement of the arms, and a locking device (26, 29, 30, 31, 32) locks the drive mechanism against movement at any position throughout the range of movement of the arms. The locking device may be released held by a push button operated mechanism (50, 51, 36, 34) to allow adjustment of the spreader member and the holding means is deactivated to allow engagement of the locking device to lock the arms in a selected position of adjustment.

The supporting frame includes an upper support member transversely extended from an inner surface of the upper holder, a lower support member transversely extended from an inner surface of the lower holder, and a movable operating frame including a base, having a slider slot, upwardly extended from the lower support member and a slider arm which is downwardly extended from the upper support member and arranged to slidably insert into the slider slot such that by frictionally sliding the slider arm along the slider slot so as to selectively adjust a distance between the upper and lower holders.
Abstract: A workstation panel lifting bracket is adapted to be mounted to a jack to raise a workstation panel off the floor a sufficient distance to allow for access beneath the panel. The bracket comprises a generally horizontal top plate that is adapted to be mounted to the jack. A leg extends downwardly and forwardly from a forward edge of the top plate. Preferably, the leg forms an angle of about 80° to about 85° with the bracket top plate. A foot extending forwardly from a bottom end of the leg. An upwardly turned lip is preferably formed at the end of the foot. To provide stability to the bracket, jack, and panel during raising and lowering of the panel, the bracket also include a brace on the leg. The brace has a front surface and opposed side surfaces. The side surfaces are generally triangular in shape, and the brace front surface is in a plane substantially perpendicular to a plane of said top plate. Preferably, the brace front face is approximately as long as the leg.

Abstract: Collapsible umbrella having a resilient rib tensioning member connected to an end portion of the central shaft and interconnected with a first rib end portion and a second end portion. In response to moving forces against the rib connector it moves from a default position to a first, a second and a third open position to a second to a third. In the first open position, the rib tensioning member exerts a first threshold holding force on the second rib end portion, whereas in the second position, a second threshold holding force holds the second rib end portion, which is greater than the first. The rib tensioning member exerts a third threshold holding force on the second rib end portion, which is less than the second threshold holding force. The ribs having a rib weight sufficient to bias the second rib end portions towards a mounting surface.
