Abstract: A method to display an illustration to conduct an expedited electronic transaction is provided. Consumer identification information identifying a consumer is received. The consumer identification information is stored in association with a web browser of a consumer's device. A customized illustration is displayed based on the received consumer identification information on the consumer's device. A request is received for the expedited electronic transaction by swiping the customized illustration across a portion of the display of the consumer's device. Transaction data sufficient to complete the electronic transaction is sent to the merchant based on the swipe of the customized illustration across display of the consumer's device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling access to resources. Receiving, at a server from user devices, requests associated with a resource. Transmitting, by the server to the user devices, tickets associated with the requests, each ticket associated with a respective one of a plurality of groups, the groups identifying requests received in successive windows of time. Receiving, at the server from one of the user devices, a subsequent request, the subsequent request identifying one of the tickets previously transmitted to that user device. Determining that the identified one of the tickets should be accepted and the subsequent request should be serviced.

A described technique includes presenting, at an interactive beacon device, content including an interactive store catalog; receiving, at the interactive beacon device, user input responsive to the content; generating, at the interactive beacon device, a beacon message that can include transaction information based on the user input and the content, the transaction information including a service or product identifier corresponding to a product or service selected from the interactive store catalog; and transmitting, from the interactive beacon device, the beacon message over a short-range communication link to a mobile device. The beacon message can be configured to cause an application on the mobile device to advance a transaction associated with the transaction information.

Abstract: An online concierge system uses a domain-adaptive suggestion module to score products that may be presented to a user as suggestions in response to a user's search query. The domain-adaptive suggestion module receives data that is relevant to scoring products as suggestions in response to a search query. The domain-adaptive suggestion module uses one or more domain-neutral representation models to generate a domain-neutral representation of the received data. The domain-neutral representation is a featurized representation of the received data that can be used by machine-learning models in the search domain or the suggestion domain. The domain-adaptive suggestion module then scores products by applying one or more machine-learning models to domain-neutral representations generated based on those products. By using domain-neutral representations, the domain-adaptive suggestion module can be trained based on training examples from a similar prediction task in a different domain.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for augmenting a customer image with at least one virtual object. One or more customer images depicting a customer environment are received from a customer computing device and 3D feature data for the customer images is determined. A virtual object is determined which corresponds to a desired merchant item. A positioning signal is received which corresponds to a desired location of virtual object in the customer environment, and a corresponding first location in each customer image at which to overlay the virtual object using the positioning signal is determined. An appropriate size and orientation of the virtual object is determined for each customer image based on corresponding 3D feature data, causing an overlay of an appropriately sized and oriented virtual object at the corresponding first location in customer images.

An exemplary recommendation unit can communicate with a product information database, a product similarity database, a customer purchase history database and a customer order database. The recommendation unit includes a determining unit to store a determined similarity of products in the product similarity database, a training unit to train a model based on information about products previously purchased by each customer and information about at least one determined similarity as stored in the product similarity database, a similarity unit to generate at least one product similar to at least one product to be purchased by a customer based on information about a current order of a customer, and a calculating unit to calculate a probability that a customer forgot to add a similar product.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a computer implemented recommender system/method which enables the computer to provide more “emotionally” relevant/connected, and therefore more likely to be successful, recommendations while minimizing dependency on historical data as well susceptibility to bias, e.g. monetary and/or sponsor based. The disclosed embodiments segment a target set of known users into groups based on similar characteristics and then associate each group with one or more unique sets of affinities derived from the social media interactions of a general population having similar affinities. Similarly, a unique set of affinity characteristics is derived, and stored in a data structure, for each of a set of recommendations. The unique sets of affinities associated with the groups are compared with the set of affinity characteristics associated with each recommendations to derive a subset thereof relevant to the users of the particular group.

The recording is transmitted to a server for comparing it to recordings of other conversations from a plurality of other retail stores. The server makes a recommendation based on the comparing. Embodiments of the invention are also directed to an analytics system that collects real-time metrics data for various virtual or physical retail stores associated with a plurality of contact centers. The system performs real-time analytics of the collected metrics data for identifying a product or service. The processor modifies, based on the real-time analytics, a prior service or product to be offered by a particular retail store, with the identified service or product. The processor pushes the modified service or product for display on the end-user device use in the particular retail store.

This system and method enables a sales person to show a customer a variety of wheel styles, tires, paint colors, paint patterns and various decorations, such as pinstriping, will look on the customers actual vehicle by holograph or conventional projection of the products displayed on the vehicle. Purchasers can also use a smartphone mobile application to superimpose products onto a photo of their vehicle on a smartphone display screen or view images in combination with a smartphone projector or virtual reality headset 3D viewer and their smartphone to get a complete 3D view of the product choices that the user can make for their vehicle.
