Abstract: There is provided a wearable terminal which is capable of performing a transaction using information about a product viewed by a user. A wearable terminal includes a capturing unit, a recognition unit for recognizing a first gesture of a user for specifying a product, in an image captured by the capturing unit, an acquisition unit for acquiring, in a case where the first gesture is recognized by the recognition unit, product information of the product specified using the image where the first gesture is recognized, an output control unit for controlling output of the product information in a manner allowing viewing by the user, and a processing unit for performing a predetermined process regarding an electronic transaction for the product.

Abstract: Features are disclosed for training and using a recommendation model configured to receive inputs from a user via a first channel and a second channel. The recommendation model can be trained with inputs from the first channel and inputs from the second channel. The recommendation model can receive a plurality of inputs from multiple channels and determine a probability of a future potential event for each channel. The probabilities may be based on the probability of a repeat event and the probability of a general event. The recommendation model may generate a recommendation for the user based on the probabilities of a future potential event.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for facilitating, via an interactive display platform, a sales transaction conducted in real time between a consultant associated with a consultant device and a customer associated with a customer device. Independent user interaction control capabilities are assigned to the consultant device and the customer device for controlling the sharing of information, the identification of selections pertaining to the shared information and the population of a virtual shopping cart based on the selections, and/or for interacting with the shared information, selections and populated virtual shopping cart. The disclosed methods and apparatus can facilitate a sales transaction involving any type of product and/or service, including the sale of a report containing product data.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for recommending items to users of a recommendation system. In some implementations, the recommendation system determines a plurality of contribution values based on interactions between a plurality of users and a plurality of items. Each of the plurality of contribution values represents a confidence level that a respective user prefers a respective item. The recommendation system further determines a capacity of each of the plurality of items. The capacity of each item represents a maximum number of users to which the item can be recommended. The recommendation system recommends one or more items of the plurality of items to each of the plurality of users based at least in part on the plurality of contribution values and the capacities of the plurality of items.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a training application generates a preference prediction model based on an interaction matrix and a closed-form solution for minimizing a Lagrangian. The interaction matrix reflects interactions between users and items, and the Lagrangian is formed based on a constrained optimization problem associated with the interaction matrix. A service application generates a first application interface that is to be presented to the user. The service application computes predicted score(s) using the preference prediction model, where each predicted score predicts a preference of the user for a different item. The service application then determines a first item from the items to present to the user via an interface element included in the application interface. Subsequently, the service application causes a representation of the first item to be displayed via the interface element included in the application interface.

Abstract: A system includes one or more point of sale systems and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to receive purchase data for a plurality of purchases made by a purchaser via the one or more point of sale systems over a time period, wherein the purchase data includes an identifier of the purchaser, a timestamp, and a type of good. The processing circuitry is configured to determine a frequency with which the purchaser purchased a type of good over the time period based on the purchase data, determine a target time at which the purchaser should next purchase the type of good based on the purchase data and the frequency, and instruct output of a notification in response to receipt of an indication that the purchaser is attempting to purchase the type of good using the one or more point of sale systems prior to the target time.

A plurality of digital mirrors are installed in a participating stores, each comprising a digital screen, a video camera positioned to generate video stream of a user in front of the digital mirror, and a microprocessor. A centralized database stores merchandize data of participating stores. A controller is coupled to the mirrors and the centralized database and preprogrammed to perform the operations comprising: receiving the video stream from the video camera of one of the plurality of digital mirrors; identifying a merchandize item within the video stream; activating a recommendation engine to identify a complementary item from the centralized database that is complementary to the identified merchandize item; sending data regarding the complementary item and a store offering the complementary item to the digital mirror for display.

Abstract: Techniques and systems for beacon triggered device to device content transfer are disclosed. A described technique includes presenting, at an interactive beacon device, content including an interactive store catalog; receiving, at the interactive beacon device, user input responsive to the content; generating, at the interactive beacon device, a beacon message that can include transaction information based on the user input and the content, the transaction information including a service or product identifier corresponding to a product or service selected from the interactive store catalog; and transmitting, from the interactive beacon device, the beacon message over a short-range communication link to a mobile device. The beacon message can be configured to cause an application on the mobile device to advance a transaction associated with the transaction information.

Abstract: An order for a product or service can be processed over a global network using emoji characters. A system server establishes a platform for a user to place a request order for the product or service, and the user is enabled to place the request order for delivery of the product or service by depositing an emoji character. The system server maps the emoji character to the product or service. The system server generates a fill order for the product or service and communicates the fill order to a provider, whereupon the system server directs the provider to fulfill the fill order.

Abstract: Described herein is a system and techniques for implementing a single mechanism that, when activated, provides multiple shopping cart previews for different resource providers generated based on a list of items which is customized according to the user that activated the mechanism. In some embodiments, a list of item types may be received by the system from the user including item types. The system may identify a number of potential items for each of the item types in the list of item types available at each resource provider. The user may then be provided with a shopping cart preview with the list of items from each resource provider. In some embodiments, the user may be provided with the ability to complete a transaction for one or more of the shopping cart previews.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for optimizing a graph. The graph can be generated with a source node, a plurality of item nodes, and a terminal node. Once generated, the graph can be optimized to determine a lowest cost flow from the source node to the terminal node based at least in part on respective budget measurements. A first account node and a first item node can be determined and an account corresponding to the first account node, as well as information that identifies an item corresponding to the first item node can be transmitted.

Abstract: Systems and methods according to present principles involved highlighting objects such as on a store shelf. Highlighting is displayed by projecting a light directly on the object by means of a light source or may alternatively be indicated by displaying an indicator or image of the object on a display screen. Information about the targeted object may appear in a headmounted display, on a user's mobile device, or may be projected on a surface via the projector. Information provided to a user may include comparison product data, data about potential allergens, and the like. Highlighting can also be employed to suggest items of interest to the user. For example, products may be recommended to a user through analysis of user data and such products illuminated by a projector as a user walks through a store. Other highlighted objects may be those on a user grocery list or the like.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for augmenting a customer image with at least one virtual object. One or more customer images depicting a customer environment are received from a customer computing device and 3D feature data for the customer images is determined. A virtual object is determined which corresponds to a desired merchant item. A positioning signal is received which corresponds to a desired location of virtual object in the customer environment, and a corresponding first location in each customer image at which to overlay the virtual object using the positioning signal is determined. An appropriate size and orientation of the virtual object is determined for each customer image based on corresponding 3D feature data, causing an overlay of an appropriately sized and oriented virtual object at the corresponding first location in customer images.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating a planogram of a store. The systems and methods may include receiving a plurality of images and transaction data. At least one of the plurality of images may include user data representing a user proximate the product. The transaction data may be associated with a completed purchase of the product. Based on the transaction data and the user data, a probability of the user retrieving the product may be determined and used to generate the planogram of the store.

Abstract: A method to display an illustration to conduct an expedited electronic transaction is provided. Consumer identification information identifying a consumer is received. The consumer identification information is stored in association with a web browser of a consumer's device. A customized illustration is displayed based on the received consumer identification information on the consumer's device. A request is received for the expedited electronic transaction by swiping the customized illustration across a portion of the display of the consumer's device. Transaction data sufficient to complete the electronic transaction is sent to the merchant based on the swipe of the customized illustration across display of the consumer's device.
