Abstract: This invention deals with a computer-implemented method for using predictive analytics to find a second set of entries in a first array that are related to a first set of entries in the first array without directly calculating entry-to-entry similarities between entries in the first array, the method including: (a) identifying a target entry in a second array, wherein the first set of entries in the first array are linked to the target entry in the second array; (b) finding likely entries in the second array that have similarities to a target entry in the second array using a correlation; (c) finding linked entries in the first array that are linked to the likely entries found in the second array; and (d) using the linked entries found in the first array as the second set of entries in the first array.

Abstract: A system includes a device, a database, and a processor. The device receives a social network post including text and an image depicting a customizable product. The database stores a purchase history of a user of the device. In response to determining that the device displayed the post, the processor determines, using a machine learning algorithm, that the image depicts the product and determines a set of retailers offering the product. The processor predicts, based in part on the purchase history, a customization for the customizable feature of the product that the user prefers and a retailer of the set of retailers offering the customized product. The processor then sends a recommendation of the customized product to the user, including a link to purchase the product from the predicted retailer. Then, in response to receiving a purchase request from the user, the processor completes a purchase of the customized product.

Abstract: Systems and methods for guided vehicle matching are disclosed. In order to generate vehicle recommendations for a user of an electronic vehicle listing service, a plurality of vehicle-related lifestyle options are presented to the user, and a user selection received. Additional data regarding the user's vehicle preferences, requirements, or usage may be obtained. Based upon such information, a set of example vehicles is generated and presented to the user. Each example vehicle has characteristics representing a plurality of other vehicles. Based upon user ratings or selections of at least some of the example vehicles, a plurality of vehicle recommendations for specific available vehicles are generated and presented to the user. In some embodiments, further user interaction with such recommendations is used to refine the vehicle recommendations and identify additional vehicle recommendations.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for blockchain-based product configuration and referral. An originator may interact with a product configuration service to generate a product combination, which may include a particular combination and arrangement of physical or virtual items. A blockchain data object may be generated that is unique to the product configuration. The blockchain data object may be inserted into a blockchain using a blockchain network service such that, when the product configuration is subsequently accessed or consumed by another user account, a predetermined task is performed in association with a user account of the originator.

Abstract: An interactive transaction system is provided. A terminal, located adjacent or in proximity to a merchandise display, comprises a touch screen device, associated with the product category, configured to present a subset of products within the product category, determining the subset of products within the product category according to an algorithm that may take into account a profile of a shopper interacting with the terminal, a location of the terminal inside the physical merchant store, and products that are located in proximity to the terminal. The terminal is further configured to receive a shopper selection associated with at least one of the products in the subset of products within the product category for fulfillment.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a computer implemented recommender system/method which enables the computer to provide more “emotionally” relevant/connected, and therefore more likely to be successful, recommendations while minimizing dependency on historical data as well susceptibility to bias, e.g. monetary and/or sponsor based. The disclosed embodiments segment a target set of known users into groups based on similar characteristics and then associate each group with one or more unique sets of affinities derived from the social media interactions of a general population having similar affinities. Similarly, a unique set of affinity characteristics is derived, and stored in a data structure, for each of a set of recommendations. The unique sets of affinities associated with the groups are compared with the set of affinity characteristics associated with each recommendations to derive a subset thereof relevant to the users of the particular group.

An enrollment message is provided to the handle. A message including the order code is received from the handle directed to the merchant handle. The handle is associated with the merchant handle and the order code to identify the product order, the merchant, and the user. An order confirmation message is including order details is provided to the handle. A user confirmation message is received from the handle. The product order is communicated to the merchant and an order status message to the handle.

Embodiments further disclose creation, tracking and management of skincare layouts. The device with a network communication component facilitating communication with a server. The device may operate to facilitate the creation of a skincare layout for a person and share the layout with the server. Abstract: A method and apparatus for a commerce platform coordinating a purchase of a product sold by a merchant system through a third party application are described. The method may include receiving a notification from the third party application requesting to purchase a product from within the third party application, wherein the notification comprises an identifier for the product and an identifier for the merchant system that sells the product. The system can generate a network document for the at least one item that is configured to be presented in the second electronic marketplace based at least in part on the implementation information.

Abstract: A system and method for creating an e-commerce, dynamic, internal search engine are disclosed. The system and method include providing a server having a memory and a processor, and providing the server with a search engine configured to perform the steps of: identifying a first user search term that results in a first search result and the number of occurrences the first search term is input into the search engine. The search engine then identifies a second user search term input into the search engine subsequent to the first user search term and the number of occurrences the second search term is input into the search engine and identifies the number of occurrences when the second search term yields a successful search result. The search engine then modifies subsequent search results facilitated by the first user search term to reflect the number of successful search results of the second search term.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for displaying data related to a transaction of one or more products from one or more sellers by a buyer. The method includes receiving identifying criteria from the buyer and determining one or more products corresponding to the identifying criteria. The method further includes determining one or more sellers of the one or more products. The method further includes presenting the one or more sellers for each of the one or more products on a display, where the one or more sellers are presented in an order according to criteria. The method further includes presenting an order history of the buyer from the one or more sellers for each product on the display. Additionally, the method further includes presenting a total price of a particular quantity for each product on the display.

Abstract: Recommendations for media assets based on product similarities are provided. In some embodiments, a recommendation can be determined using asset-to-asset similarity information that can be obtained by mapping media assets to products and further mapping products to media assets based at least on the prior mapping. In addition, product similarity information can be leveraged to generate groups of media assets for different categories of similarity present in the product similarity information. Such groups can be identified, for example, by using the mapped products to media assets as applied to the different categories. Further a diverse arrangement of media assets can be generated by selecting media assets from the groups according to a defined selection rule.

Abstract: Systems and methods of site outage management are disclosed. In some example embodiments, a service outage of an online service is detected. The service outage disables the online service from receiving a bid for an item listing on the online service. The item listing has a seller and a listing end time. Timing information for the service outage is determined, and the item listing is identified based on the listing end time and the timing information for the service outage. An outage management action is performed based on the item listing being identified. The outage management action comprises one of automatically extending the listing end time, automatically transmitting an outage notification of the service outage to the seller, and automatically issuing a credit to an account of the seller.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for facilitating, via an interactive display platform, a sales transaction conducted in real time between a consultant associated with a consultant device and a customer associated with a customer device. Independent user interaction control capabilities are assigned to the consultant device and the customer device for controlling the sharing of information, the identification of selections pertaining to the shared information and the population of a virtual shopping cart based on the selections, and/or for interacting with the shared information, selections and populated virtual shopping cart. The disclosed methods, systems, and apparatus can facilitate a sales transaction involving any type of product and/or service, including the sale of a report containing product data.
