Abstract: The representative embodiments discussed in the present disclosure relate to techniques in which a transmitter may operate in an uplink multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) mode of operation. More specifically, in some embodiments, the transmitter may concurrently transmit a first and a second signal within the same frequency band via a first and second antenna, respectively. Further, in some embodiments, the transmitter may include circuitry and/or logic to offset nonlinear interference present in the transmitted signals as a result of antenna coupling between the first and second antenna and a nonlinear element (e.g., a power amplifier) within the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 10728011
Abstract: This invention relates to the proposal of component carrier (de)activation message that is allowing a activation or deactivation of one or more component carriers in the uplink or downlink. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the new component carrier (de)activation message in methods for (de)activation of downlink component carrier(s) configured for a mobile terminal, a base station and a mobile terminal. To enable efficient and robust (de)activation of component carriers, the invention proposes to use component carrier-specific or cell-RNTI(s) for the scrambling of the CRC of the component carrier (de)activation message, and to explicitly indicate the intended recipient of the component carrier (de)activation message in a corresponding field in the message. Furthermore, the invention further proposes different designs of the component carrier (de)activation message and further uses thereof, so as to trigger CQI reporting and/or SRS transmission by a mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 10616126
Abstract: Scheduling of packets to be forwarded onto DOCSIS downstream channels as part of a Virtual Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP). A packet to be forwarded onto a DOCSIS downstream channel is enqueued in a service flow queue. The packets stored in the service flow queue are associated with a single service flow. A request is propagated up a hierarchy of schedule elements to a scheduler process to schedule the packet for delivery. The scheduler process determines a grant of how much traffic to offer the DOCSIS downstream channel. The grant determined for the DOCSIS downstream channel may be expressed in units of symbols rather than in bytes. The scheduler process extends a particular grant to the service flow queue by translating symbols in the grant for the service flow queue which issued the request.
