  • Patent number: 10827395
Abstract: One or more controllers of a control plane (CP) entity for use in a mobile network (e.g. a mobility management entity or “MME”) may be configured to receive or obtain an indication which indicates whether an eNodeB (eNB) is configured to support Dual Connectivity with New Radio (DCNR), for a 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture deployment. The one or more controllers may be further configured to select, based on the indication, one of a plurality of serving gateways (SGWs) for a session of a user equipment (UE) served by the eNB. Additional information may be used as a basis for the SGW selection, including UE capability and UE subscription data. For example, when the indication indicates that the eNB is configured to support DCNR and the UE capability and subscription data indicate 5G capability, a 5G-capable SGW may be selected but otherwise a legacy (non-5G) SGW may be selected.

  • Patent number: 10820165
Abstract: A method for using a mobile software application for deleting or recalling unwanted messages on a mobile device before it is delivered to the intended recipient is provided. The software application operates by running on top of the resident messaging application on the mobile device. For example, the application caches the message for specified amount of time and thereby sets a length of delay. The user has the application on the mobile device and the message is composed on the OST application and the application software keeps the message in a buffer for a predetermined amount of time after the user selects to send the message such that if the user regrets sending the message, it can be deleted or recalled before the message leaves the mobile device. Other advantages that are understood from the present disclosure will further be apparent.

Abstract: A proposed invention relates to the field of information technologies and can be used in information technologies, which relates to computer vision, for comparison and search of similar images and their fragments by the content in large databases/pictures banks. The claimed method for completely automatic detection of similar images and images fragments in large data storages or data banks comprising image content processing, stages of construction to represent numerical vector image content. Each image is processed in the data store to determine the content that is treated as geometric shapes, and numerical vector representing the image built based on the geometric parameters of defined geometric shapes. A numeric vector which consists of geometric parameters of image figures, measured at original size of geometric shape, and after normalization, is the vector that defines the image with accuracy and uniqueness, and which allows comparison and detection of similar images.

  • Patent number: 10771920
Abstract: Known geospatial device coordinates are clustered using a clustering algorithm into device clusters with cluster centroids. Each device cluster corresponds to a geographical location. Each cluster centroid is annotated with a regional floor-height value of the respective geographical location. Current device data of a device, including geographic location and elevation, are received. An approximate current floor upon which the first device is located is determined using the elevation of the first device and the annotated regional floor-height value of a closest cluster centroid, the closest cluster centroid determined based, at least in part, on the geographic location of the first device. An individual is directed to the device's geographic location and approximate current floor. The device clusters are re-computed based upon feedback from the individual regarding the device's actual floor.

  • Patent number: 10750344
Abstract: A wireless communication system, a communication method, and a portable transceiver device are provided. The wireless communication system includes a server, a plurality of gateway devices and user-end portable transceivers that are interconnected by a wireless WAN protocol, e.g. LoRa. Each portable transceiver connects a user device via a near-end wireless communication protocol that allows the user device to connect with the server via a gateway device. After the user device sends a message through the portable transceiver, the server discovers another portable transceiver and another gateway device according to a destination address. Thereby, the message can be transmitted via this connection, or a direct voice communication can be performed via a communication channel over this connection. The communication system therefore provides a communication service under the wireless WAN protocol that is an alternative to traditional mobile communications.
