Abstract: A bat for baseball or softball of the present invention includes a first tube having an impact part, a step part and a stopper part, a cylindrical second tube, a fixing component being inserted between the first tube and second tube, the step part having an exterior diameter larger than that of the impact part and smaller than an interior diameter of the second tube, the stopper part having an exterior diameter larger than that of the step part and larger than the interior diameter of the second tube, the second tube is arranged on an exterior periphery of the impact part, one end of the second tube is fixed between the stopper part and the step part by an adhesive and the other end is fixed by an adhesive on the fixing component, and a crevice is formed between the first tube and the second tube.

Abstract: A method of a player using a ball throwing device comprising a flexible but substantially non-stretchable flexible line attached at one end to the baseball or softball. The method comprises attaching the substantially non-stretchable flexible line to a non-throwing arm of a player, and using the throwing arm to throw the ball such that it travels along a path which arcs around a non-throwing side of the player to a location in front of the player where the ball may be caught.

Abstract: A novel baseball or softball bat is disclosed. The bat has a handle of a heavy, strong wood such as hickory, to resist breakage, and a barrel of a lighter wood such as sapele, to facilitate a controlled and comfortable swing. Methods for making the bat are also disclosed. It may be formed of a plurality of wedge-shaped pieces of wood, and the two species of wood may be joined by interleaving these wedges over part of the bat's length.

Abstract: A shooting system comprising at least one roof panel coupled to at least one wall panel. At least one floor panel is coupled to the at least one wall panel to define a space between the at least one roof panel, the at least one wall panel, and the at least one floor panel. At least one shooting lane and means for collecting projectiles fired along the at least one shooting lane are disposed within the space.

Abstract: Hockey stick configurations and hockey stick blade constructs are disclosed. The blade is comprised of one or more inner core elements, surrounded by one or more walls made of reinforcing fibers or filaments disposed in a hardened matrix resin material. One or more of the inner core elements comprises an elastomer material.

Abstract: A target stand is disclosed that comprises a target frame supported on a shelf having a pair of legs mounted in spaced relation. The legs pivotal and adjustable between a storage position and a shooting position. The storage position having the target frame intermediate to and parallel to the legs. The shooting position having the legs in a generally non-parallel configuration to support the target frame in a predetermined shooting position. The target frame supporting a target either above or below the pivotal connection between the legs and the target frame. The legs adapted to be secured to the target frame thus resisting pivoting and adjusting to hold the legs in a non-symmetrical orientation to accommodate rough terrain.

Abstract: A baseball batting strength-training aid includes a vertically oriented resilient cylindrical body defining a central core. A mount is affixed to a rear of the resilient body for attaching the training aid to an external support. A sensor pod is received within the central core of the resilient body, which includes at least one sensor thereto for sensing the striking of a bat against the resilient cylindrical body.

Abstract: A croquet modifying game includes at least one indicator such as a playing card. The playing card includes player instructions, wherein the player instructions modify standard play of a game of croquet. A corresponding method of playing croquet is provided.

Abstract: A bat having a handle portion, a transition portion attached to the handle portion, and a barrel portion attached to the transition portion. The area(s) adjacent to the central portion of the barrel have an increased performance with respect to the central portion of the barrel to effectively enlarge the sweet spot, or preferred hitting area. At least one tubular member of the barrel is circumferential aligned and axially spaced from another tubular member.

Abstract: A target ball game kit is provided that is easily carried and readily assembled to facilitate play in recreational areas such as parks or beaches. The kit includes a container housing a plurality of paddles, a plurality of balls having varying weights, and at least one target assembly. The target assembly is appointed to be set-up on a ground surface and secured thereto by way of securing means. Concentric rings having assigned point values are constructed within the target assembly. The target assembly preferably is constructed of a continuous rope or cord-like member. The kit can be readily and accurately adjusted for singles to doubles play by including at least two target assemblies therein. Glow in the dark properties may be provided to the target assembly, paddles, and/or balls for play in dimly lit or foggy conditions.

Abstract: The present invention is an adjustable projectile target that includes a support structure that can hold a body portion of the target at various angular positions with regard to the support structure. The support structure allows the body portion to be rotated along both a vertical and a horizontal axis to provide a variety of target profiles for the body portion to simulate for the individual shots taken from various elevations and distances from the target animal.

Abstract: A practice ground for a bow and arrow hunter which allows the hunter selectively to position the target at various locations from a shooting area, to shoot arrows thereat, to retrieve the targets to ascertain the results, and to retrieve the arrows in the target, all without leaving the shooting area. The practice ground has a stand built into a tree simulating a field-type shooting area, a target, a target supporting tow line, and a plurality of stanchions with pulleys supporting and guiding the tow line. The tree stand includes a manual drive mechanism for moving the target to and from the hunter.

Abstract: A portable stepball game apparatus has a collapsible stairway with a plurality of steps. Each step has a vertical riser portion, a horizontal tread portion, and a nosing on the forward or player-facing edges of the tread portions which protrudes over the riser portions. The game's pivotable stairway configuration is readily housed for storage in a carrying case specifically adapted to be easily portable. It is designed such that one person can lift the carrying case with one hand and easily move it from location to location.

Abstract: A baseball bat includes a hollow grip member having opposite front and rear ends, and an inner peripheral surface that defines a tapered chamber having a diameter reducing gradually toward the rear end. The inner peripheral surface has a first positioning portion disposed between the front end and the rear end. A striking member has an engaging segment received in the tapered chamber, and a large diameter segment extending forwardly from the engaging segment. The engaging segment has an axial hole, a plurality of open-ended slits extending along an axial direction and in spatial communication with the axial hole, and a second positioning portion aligned with the first positioning portion. A pressing member is inserted into the axial hole to press the second positioning portion against the first positioning portion.

Abstract: A golf green for a patio, deck, floor, substrate or supporting surface with access from below to cut a hole therein includes a U-shaped cup retaining structure mounted to the substrate underside adjacent the hole and into which a cup is slidably inserted and seated in alignment with the hole and the cup having a passageway into which a plug is inserted with the plug having a through hole for receiving the lower end of the golf flag staff, a plurality of ring inserts for placement within the cup to alter the cup diameter and refine golf putting practice, a cover for placement over the cup to conceal the hole so that the substrate, such as the patio, can be safely traversed, and a ball collection apparatus disposed underneath the substrate and into which balls fall by gravity for collection and eventual retrieval.

Abstract: The invention relates to sports and entertaining facilities and in particular to aqua shooting ranges. The inventive aqua shooting range comprises a pool (1), an above-water fence, shooting positions (9) with weapons and underwater targets (5). The pool is provided with a transversal partition (6) separating the shooting positions (9) from the underwater targets (5). Each partition (6) is provided with a firing port (8). An additional shooting position (20) for shooting from an above-water position to water is embodied on the partition (6). The above-water part of the pool wall placed above the underwater target (5) and the above-water fence is provided with bullet stoppers (11). The shooting position is located in such a way that the weapon vertical guidance angle is limited to a value equal to or greater than 10 degrees with respect to the horizon. The invention makes it possible to increase the safety, learning, and training efficiency of shooting at underwater targets.
