A first time, data are stored for at least one product with which a defined user or a defined user device has interacted. At least one subset of the products is assigned priority data for an output of information to the defined user or to the defined user device for the products on the basis of the stored data. At a second time, a request for an output of information for the products by the defined user or the defined user device is captured. The output of information for the products in response to the request is effected on the basis of the stored priority data. Abstract: Various embodiments provide for recommending products from an electronic catalog that are aesthetically compatible with an existing item in a physical space based on a live camera view of the space, and rendering augmented reality views of the recommended products into the live camera view. Specifically, an image of the existing item is used to search a database of images of designed spaces that includes a corresponding object visually similar to the existing item. The image of the designed space may also include other items that are visually compatible with the corresponding object and therefore visually compatible with the existing item. Thus, the images of the other items are used to search an electronic catalog for available items that are visually similar to the other items and therefore would be visually compatible with the existing item.

Abstract: Recommendation systems and techniques are described that use linear stochastic bandits and confidence interval generation to generate recommendations for digital content. These techniques overcome the limitations of conventional recommendations systems that are limited to a fixed parameter to estimate noise and thus do not fully exploit available data and are overly conservative, at a significant cost in operational performance of a computing device. To do so, a linear model, noise estimate, and confidence interval are refined by a recommendation system based on user interaction data that describes a result of user interaction with items of digital content. This is performed by comparing a result of the recommendation on user interaction with digital content with an estimate of a result of the recommendation.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for communicating a primary display comprising information that facilitates visual presentation of a view of a game space to a primary client device and facilitating purchases of content for use in the game through a secondary client device such as a user's smartphone. The system may include a game device that allows a user to play a video game or otherwise interact with a virtual environment using the primary client device and purchase content for use in the video game using a secondary client device while playing the video game using the primary client device. The purchased content may be integrated into the game space such that purchased content is available for use while the user is playing the video game.

Abstract: A method for creating an augmented reality experience. The method includes receiving a value to associate with a stored value token, searching a database for one of products and services that are sold close to the value, matching at least one of a product and a service which is sold close to the value, and creating a record comprising a token identifier and a graphical item representing one of the product and service that is found during matching, receiving a request to initiate the augmented reality experience. The method further includes, in response to the request, preparing data comprising augmented reality information including a video file and the record. The method further includes sending the data over a computer network.

Abstract: Accessing measurements associated with garments and leveraging the measurements to determine fit characteristics associated with the garments is described. The fit characteristics may be leveraged to provide information about how a garment fits relative to another garment to streamline online shopping transactions. Fit characteristics may correspond to scores that are determined based at least in part on one or more measurements of a garment. Individual measurements may be standardized and/or weighted. The individual measurements may be combined to determine a score representative of a fit characteristic. Fit characteristics associated with two or more garments may be compared and a user interface may be caused to be displayed to compare garments. The user interface may summarize fit characteristic comparisons via textual descriptions, graphical representations, etc. Users may leverage fit characteristics and resulting user interfaces to comparison shop between various garments.

The inline authentication form is used if the components of the authentication system are capable of supporting an inline authentication form. If the components of the system cannot support an inline authentication form, a different authentication process is used. In one embodiment, an inline authentication form is presented to the user asynchronously. This inline authentication form may be presented within an iFrame embedded in a merchant's checkout page after verifying that the components to be used during the authentication can support the inline authentication form.

Gifts are added to the centralized gift registry from retailer-specific registries. A gift registrant may select one or more retailers. The centralized gift registry system may automatically submit a request for the creation of retailer-specific registries at each of the retailers selected by the gift registrant, based in part on information provided to the centralized gift registry by the gift registrant. This creation may involve the use of APIs at the centralized gift registry or the retailer-specific registries. A gift list is created and displayed. Gift givers may select a gift from the centralized gift registry.

The processor displays the rack video, which depicts an event including the person interacting with the first physical rack. The processor also displays a virtual shopping cart. The processor receives information associated with the event, identifying the first virtual item. The rack video depicts that the person selected the first physical item while interacting with the first physical rack. The processor then stores the first virtual item in the virtual shopping cart.

Abstract: Methods and systems to supplement search results returned to a buyer of parts are described. The system receives a first query from a buyer. The first query includes keywords. The system identifies at least one compatibility keyword included in the keywords. The system further infers that the other keywords in the query are item information that describes a part that is sought for on a network-based marketplace. The system further infers the part has a compatibility based on the compatibility keywords. Next, the system searches a data storage device based on the item information and the compatibility keywords to identify a first listing as matched. Finally, the system presents the first listing describing the matched part. The matched part is indicated as compatible by supplementing the presentation of the first listing with the compatibility keywords from the first query.
