Abstract: Described herein are techniques for providing information regarding brands of items offered for acquisition by an offering service. The items may comprise tangible or intangible goods, products (e.g., electronics, sporting goods, digital music, etc.), services, or the like. A brand, meanwhile, may refer to a name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that distinguishes a designer, maker, manufacturer, seller or the like from other entities.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments, apparatus, systems and methods are provided for facilitating commerce. In some embodiments, an apparatus (e.g., a central computer) facilitates posting of an item for sale by receiving a digital image of an item for sale, receiving an audio description (e.g., included in an audio file) of the item, and providing an indication of the description to at least one potential buyer. In one embodiment, the digital image and the audio description are received from a mobile phone.

Abstract: A network-based service may be provided for facilitating queries for a number of items, such as travel services. A user may submit a query including criteria for determining relevant items. The network-based service may be configured to generate opaque search results in response to queries, revealing sufficient detail to allow the user to confirm the relevance of the travel item, but insufficient detail to disclose the identity of the supplier. Based on the submitted query or other information, the network-based service may associate a persona with the user, such as the persona of a business or leisure traveler. The network-based service may use the persona to determine a travel item or items best suited to the user, by identifying the travel item attributes that correlate positively with preferences of the persona. The network-based service may then generate an opaque search result that reveals travel item attributes desired by the persona.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method, including: obtaining, at an information handling device, an image of a person; determining physical characteristics of the person by analyzing the image; receiving an image of at least one selected piece of jewelry, the selected jewelry having a given jewelry profile, wherein the jewelry profile describes features and construction of the selected piece of jewelry; overlaying the image of the at least one selected piece of jewelry onto an image of the person, wherein the overlaying comprises analyzing resizing the image of the at least one selected piece of jewelry to match the physical characteristics of the person, in view of the jewelry profile of the at least one selected piece of jewelry; and providing, on a display of the information handling device, an output image of the image of the person comprising the overlaid image of the at least one piece of jewelry.

Abstract: A server system increases the diversity of item recommendations provided to a target user by using item similarity data to reorder a ranked list of recommended items for presentation to a user. The reordering is performed such that items identified as similar to each other are spaced apart from each other by at least a minimum number of positions. This minimum number may be selected based, e.g., on how many recommended items will initially be presented on a requesting user device, which may depend on the display size or other attributes of the user device. The server system generates a user interface that displays an initial portion of the reordered list. The user interface includes controls for scrolling through the reordered list.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is discussed. The method includes displaying to a user of a web browser one or more items from a first web domain; receiving a selection of a first item and adding the first item to a cross-domain tracking system; receiving an input and determining that the received input indicates that the user intends to navigate to a second web domain; and displaying a message that indicates that, if the user navigates to the second web domain, the first item will be maintained available to the user by the cross-domain tracking system after the user navigates to the second web domain.

The administrative module may allow the building, customizing and management of catalogs. The shopping module allows end-users to browse shop and complete orders for preferred suppliers. This module may also allow users to compare items at the point of purchase. Finally, the service/analytics module allows for access to business analytics and to manage order workflow tasks, such as order approvals and user approvals.

Abstract: Methods and devices for online payments are disclosed. Prior to accepting payment account information from a user for the payment transaction, a client terminal sends an interface listing command to a transaction server, requesting the transaction server to identify one or more acceptable input interfaces for receiving the payment account information. The transaction server responds to the interface listing command by a payment input instruction. The client terminal uses the payment input instructions to generate a payment information interface to present the one or more acceptable input interfaces for user selection. The user can choose how to input the payment information that best conforms to the user's expectations for security and convenience. The current method, device and system provide additional flexibility, improve efficiency, and facilitate online payment.

Abstract: The DYNAMIC MEDIA-PRODUCT SEARCHING PLATFORM APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DMPSP”) transforms media source, product, and user inputs into product metadata and transactions outputs. In some implementations, the DMPSP may receive an indication that a user is interacting with a media source, provide a product overlay to the user indicating products within the media source available for purchase, receive from the user a selection of a product, send product information to the user via the product overlay, receive from the user an indication of interest in purchasing the product, and process a transaction for the user to purchase the product.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for detect tags to determine perishability of food items. A merchant may utilize detector tags on, attached to, or otherwise associated with perishable items to detect conditions of the perishable items. For example, the detector tags may determine chemical properties, ambient light levels, temperatures, or other conditions for or around the perishable items. The conditions may be communicated by the tags to a user's device or the merchant's device. Where the conditions indicate that one or more of the perishable items are ready for consumption, the user may be alerted of a state of the perishable item, such as ready or ripe. The user may further be informed of where to find the perishable item in the merchant's location. However, if the perishable item has gone bad, the user and/or merchant may be warned about the item to prevent health issues.
