  • Patent number: 11736892
Abstract: Methods and systems for coordinating task zones at a public safety incident scene. One system includes an electronic computing device that includes an electronic processor configured to determine a first task to be performed by a first public safety officer and a second task to be performed by a second public safety officer. The electronic processor establishes a first geofence for the first task and a second geofence for the second task. In response to determining that the second geofence at least partially overlaps with the first geofence, the electronic processor determines whether the first task conflicts with the second task. In response to determining that the first task conflicts with the second task, the electronic processor modifies the first task and provides an instruction to a communication device of the first public safety officer to indicate that the first task has been modified.

  • Patent number: 11706737
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit multiple repetitions of a paging early indication (PEI) signal to a user equipment (UE) to indicate that the UE is to receive paging signaling in a paging occasion. In some cases, a PEI occasion for transmitting a PEI repetition may have a scheduling conflict. For example, a PEI occasion may collide with other downlink signaling. A UE may implement techniques to resolve scheduling conflicts or collisions for PEI repetitions. For example, the UE may be configured to receive either colliding PEI signaling or colliding downlink signaling based on priorities of the signaling. Additionally, or alternatively, PEI signaling may be shifted (e.g., delayed) until after the downlink signaling ends. In some cases, a UE may be configured with a subset of blind decoding hypotheses for PEI decoding.

  • Patent number: 11683780
Abstract: An apparatus for use in a UE includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the UE for Reference Signal Time Difference (RSTD)-based 5G-NR positioning. The processing circuitry is to determine a first PRS BW associated with a first PRS received from a first gNB associated with a first cell. A second PRS BW is determined, which is associated with a second PRS received from a second gNB of a second cell. An RSTD report resolution is determined based on the first PRS BW and the second PRS BW. A receive (Rx) timing difference between the first cell and the second cell is measured based on reception times of the first PRS and the second PRS. The measured Rx timing difference is mapped into an RSTD report for transmission to the first gNB, based on the RSTD report resolution.

  • Patent number: 11668784
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining the quality of a civic address produced by a reverse geocoder, utilizing the uncertainty of a geodetic location and a distance between the geodetic location and a geocoded location (i.e., a civic address) determined by the reverse geocoder. Upon receiving a request by a PSAP for a civic address corresponding to a UE initiating a call for emergency services, a node initially identifies a geodetic location of the UE and an uncertainty of the geodetic location. The node initiates an API call to a reverse geocoder API. The node receives a geocoded location corresponding to the geodetic location and compares the geocoded location to the geodetic location to determine a distance between them. Based on the uncertainty of the geodetic location and the distance between the geodetic location and the geocoded location, a quality of the civic address is determined.
