Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a network switching method, device, and storage medium. In an exemplary method, a terminal may determine whether a target wireless access network is capable of establishing a connection with an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. If the target wireless access network is capable of establishing the connection with the IMS network, then a wireless access network corresponding to the terminal can be switched to the target wireless access network.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method comprising obtaining one or more future position estimates of a terminal device, and transmitting the one or more future position estimates to a base station and/or to a location management function, wherein the one or more future position estimates are transmitted in a message comprising a list of one or more pairs of a timestamp and an estimated future position at a time indicated by the timestamp.
Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses for releasing information to improve cell selection in different resource control states. To improve communication performance, a user equipment (UE) 110 releases dedicated cell-selection information 306, which may not be appropriate as the UE 110 moves to different geographical locations and transitions to different resource control states 218. Different situations cause the UE 110 to release the dedicated cell-selection information 306, including performing a cell-selection procedure in an inactive state that selects another cell that does not support the inactive state, processing a paging message 308, or transitioning from the inactive state to an idle state. By releasing the dedicated cell-selection information 306, the UE 110 performs a future cell-selection procedure without relying on the dedicated cell-selection information.
Abstract: It is presented a method for determining whether a portable key device is located in an active area in relation to a barrier. The method is performed in an access control device and comprises the steps of: detecting an angle of arrival of a wireless signal from the portable key device using a pair of antennas provided such that a line between the pair of antennas crosses the barrier; and determining whether the portable key device is located within the active area based on the angle of arrival.
Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques are described for performing paging in a wireless communication network. A method includes mapping a paging indication to one or more resource elements. The one or more resource elements are resources in one or more synchronization signal symbols that are not mapped by the synchronization signal. The method includes transmitting the paging indication to trigger a response from a user equipment for performing subsequent paging.
Abstract: A wireless communication method and a wireless communications device includes an access point that sends a downlink control signal to a station associated with the access point, and the station receives the downlink control signal from the access point associated with the station, where the downlink control signal includes data of maximum allowable sleep duration corresponding to the station, and a wake-up receiver wakes up the station when sleep duration of the station reaches the maximum allowable sleep duration.
Abstract: A tracking system can provide smart alerts based on a user's location. The tracking system can receive a location of a user's mobile device and establish a geographic boundary around the location if the mobile device remains at the location for a threshold amount of time. The tracking system can receive a new location of the mobile device outside of the geographic boundary and configure the mobile device to scan for a tracking device associated with the user for an interval of time. If the tracking system detects the tracking device within the interval, the tracking system stores information indicating that the user possesses the tracking device. Otherwise, the tracking system sends an indication to the mobile device indicating that the user has left behind the tracking device.

The network device may receive a plurality of geographical distances between the earth station and a corresponding plurality of other network devices. The network device may determine location coordinate points for an exclusion zone, associated with the earth station, based on the geographical distance and the plurality of geographical distances. The network device may generate an exclusion zone system information block that includes the location coordinate points for the exclusion zone. The network device may determine a state of a user equipment associated with the network device. The network device may provide, to the user equipment, the exclusion zone system information block based on the state of the user equipment.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for increasing power save efficiency of stations within a wireless communications network. An access point (AP) can receive one or more session requests to establish a session from a station, each session request including one or more requested session parameters. The AP can set the session parameters to ensure that a session period of each requested session does not overlap two or more target beacon transmission time (TBTT) frames. The AP can merge two or more session periods of the one or more sessions by calculating a session period offset to align the end time of two or more session periods. Merging the two or more session periods minimizes the total wake time of the station.

Abstract: Provided are a method of performing cell reselection and a device supporting the method. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method includes: performing data transmission or data reception while the UE is in RRC IDLE state or RRC INACTIVE state; measuring a serving cell quality; and starting a cell reselection prohibit timer when the quality of the serving cell is better than a threshold, wherein a cell reselection procedure is prohibited while the cell reselection prohibit timer is running.
Abstract: A method, device and system for authentication in accordance with a SIM card is provided in the present disclosure. The method for authentication in accordance with the SIM card includes the following steps. First, the SIM card receives a feature code of a biometric feature information. Afterwards, the SIM card compares the feature code of the biometric feature information and a feature code stored in the SIM card for obtaining a comparison result. Afterwards, the SIM card returns the comparison result. Compared to existing technology, the above technical solution is configured to store the feature code in the SIM card and use it for authentication. The noncrackable SIM card protects a security of biometric feature information. After replacing the device, just plug the SIM card into the new device to complete the authentication and initialization of the new device. Therefore, the above technical solution avoids the initial setup of the new device and make it easy to use.
