Leg stretching units are arranged in the inner side in a longitudinal direction from diaper ends that configure the outer circumference of the disposable diaper or the inner side in a widthwise direction from the diaper ends. A part of the waistline retaining unit is arranged in at least one of a first region in an outer side in the longitudinal direction from the ends of the leg stretching units, and a second region in an outer side in the widthwise direction from the ends of the leg stretching units. A joint region where the skin-surface side and non-skin surface side sheets are joined is provided along the diaper ends in at least one of a first region and a second region.

The diaper has a flap thereon. The flap may be manipulated thereby facilitating a user to urinate in a toilet without removing the diaper.

Abstract: An absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin or incontinence pad has longitudinal side edges, transversal end edges, a fluid permeable topsheet, a fluid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a first absorbent layer having an opening extending therethrough and a fluid flow control structure located between said first absorbent layer and said backsheet. The first absorbent layer has a longitudinal front portion and a longitudinal back portion and a narrow transversal transition located between said front portion and said back portion. The width of the narrow transversal transition is 50-75% of the widest transversal width of the front portion of the first absorbent layer and 20-50% of the longitudinal length of the opening is located in the front portion of the first absorbent layer.

Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a diaper, comprising a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The absorbent layer comprises a longitudinally-extending central portion, and a first and second side portions disposed transversally outward of the central portion. The absorbent core further comprises first and second folding guides between the central portion and the side portions. The central portion and the side portions form a three-dimensional basin when the absorbent core is folded along the folding guides. The article further comprises at least one liquid management layer substantially free of superabsorbent polymer between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The liquid management layer comprises a central portion, first and second side portions, and first and second folding guides which are at least partially superposed with the folding guides of the absorbent core.

Lateral side portions of the front part and the back part are superposed, so that their inner surfaces face each other, and are joined to each other along side seams extending in a longitudinal direction of the article. The lateral side portions of the front part and/or the back part include at least one layer of nonwoven material which is reinforced in the area of at least one of the side seams.

Abstract: A fastener for a disposable absorbent article, having a fixed portion attachable to the article, a connective portion joined to and contiguous with the fixed portion, and a folding line disposed between the fixed and connective portions. The fastener may be free of a release tape. The fastener may further comprise an adhesive disposed upon a surface of the fixed portion of the fastener being attached to the article, the adhesive being offset from each of the edges of the fixed portion including the edge formed by the folding line, the dimensions of the offsets being defined herein. The adhesive may be applied during the assembly of the absorbent article on a converting line.

The front waist region has a front waist edge and the back waist region has a back waist edge. The front and back waist edges define a waist opening when the absorbent article is in a wear configuration. An elastomeric waist band extends around at least a portion of the waist opening adjacent the front and back waist edges and defines a circumference of the waist opening. Each leg cuff member of a pair of leg cuff members defines a respective leg opening when the absorbent article is in the wear configuration and operatively connected to the waist band such that movement of the waist band results in movement of the leg cuff members.

Abstract: In one aspect, an absorbent product includes a package and at least n absorbent articles contained in the package (n is greater than 10). Each of the absorbent articles has a body contacting surface and a garment contacting surface. Each of the absorbent articles includes a component material disposed between the body contacting surface and the garment contacting surface. The component material has a printed graphic which is seen through either the body contacting or garment contacting surfaces. The n graphics of the n absorbent articles are different from each other, and preferably have a predetermined association. In another aspect, a method is directed to printing a graphic on a sheet material which will become a component material for the absorbent articles. In another aspect, a method is directed to producing the absorbent product including the package and the n absorbent articles contained in the package.

The attachment regions are adapted to transition from the protected condition to a fixed donning condition where a portion of the body adhesive is exposed and a portion of the body adhesive is covered. The attachment regions are adapted to transition from the fixed donning condition to a fully exposed condition where the body adhesive is fully exposed.

Abstract: A disposable treatment article or disposable cleaning article that includes a hydrophobic nanoporous material. The disposable treatment or cleaning article is configured to contact and apply the nanoporous material to a surface. The nanoporous material is configured to form hydrophobic nanostructures on a surface upon the application of an activation stimulus. The nanostructures provide an anti-contamination benefit to the surface upon which the nanostructures are disposed.
