Abstract: In one scenario, a computer system receives from a user an indicator of a home décor item. The computer system identifies a color associated with the presented home décor item, and further determines other home décor items that have colors that coordinate with the color of the presented home décor item. The computer system also displays to the user images of the determined other home décor items, receives user input selecting some of the displayed home décor items and informs the user which of the selected home décor items are available at the retail establishment.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for integrating a wallet client with federated directory services are disclosed herein. By integrating merchant services, such as directory services with a wallet service provider, wallet clients on mobile devices can have access to all merchant listings without having to manually add each directory service. The system disclosed herein integrates Chamber of Commerce directory service listings with the wallet client, such that when a request for a merchant directory service is received from a device associated with the wallet client, the request is forwarded to a federated directory service wallet system interface operated by a Chamber of Commerce site. Supply chain data that matches the request, and location information that is included in the request, is then fetched from the federated directory service wallet system interface and forwarded to the device that sent the request.

Abstract: In an approach to providing a notification of content to a marketplace subscriber, one or more computer processors monitor a query for content in an online marketplace. One or more computer processors determine that the content was not found. One or more computer processors receive new content to the online marketplace. One or more computer processors determine that the new content corresponds to the query for which the content was not found. One or more computer processors send a notification of the new content.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for handling a replaced smart device are presented. A computer-implemented replaced device handler detects that a user's smart device was replaced with a new device of the same class and, in response, presents the user with an invitation to sell their old device that has been replaced. A replaced device handler may be provided in connection with an on-line trading platform.

Abstract: A trusted data bank organizes and manages access to streams of personal data owned by users with their permission. The data bank accepts incoming streams of personal data from users (such as financial, utility account, medical, insurance, activity, hobby, life style, consumer preferences, commercial transactions, telematics or smart home data, etc.), and applies user-defined privacy directives. The data bank receives personal data stream criteria and offers for goods, services, discounts, or incentives from personal data consumers (end users). The data bank may compare available streams of personal data and associated privacy directives for potential matches with criteria specified by consumers of personal data, and display offers to qualifying owners of personal data streams. If the owner accepts the offer, the data bank facilitates supplying the personal data stream to the consumer of personal data, and retains the ability to discontinue access to the stream at the owner's request.

Abstract: The described implementations enable a seller to sell items through multiple e-commerce channels without having to maintain independent merchant accounts at each channel. For example, a seller may sell items directly and through a management service. When a user request to purchase an item from the seller through the management service is received, the management service sends the purchase information to the seller so that the seller can complete the purchase as if the purchase were being made directly with the seller. Upon completion of the purchase, the seller provides a confirmation back to the management service and provides the item directly to the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques to provide specific vehicle recommendations to generic user requests. A method for providing the specific vehicle recommendation includes: receiving a generic automobile request from a user, applying a machine learning model (MLM) trained by a corpus of reviews to the received request, and generating, by the MLM, a recommendation for at least one specific automobile feature based on the generic automobile request.

Abstract: In some embodiments, purchase systems and methods are provided. Some embodiments comprise one or more processors configured to receive, at a point of sale device, a request to use self-checkout through a user computing device; couple the point of sale device with the user computing device by: display by the point of sale device a coupling code configured to be scanned by the user computing device; receive the coupling code by a server system; and interpret, at the server system, the coupling code to identify the point of sale device; cause contents of an electronic shopping cart associated with a transaction to be transmitted to the identified point of sale device; receive a customer identifier associated with the transaction; and conclude, on the point of sale device, the transaction based on the coupling of the point of sale device with the user computing device.

Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product for determining a desirability of a product attribute are provided. The embodiment may include extracting a plurality of product features corresponding to one or more products. The embodiment may also include analyzing a plurality of product reviews to determine a sentiment toward the extracted product features. The embodiment may further include calculating a desirability score for each product feature. The embodiment may also include, in response to receiving a user query associated with a product, identifying a product feature to which the received user query relates. The embodiment may further include generating a response to the received user query based on the calculated desirability score.

Abstract: A method for selecting hubs, such as third-party retail locations, with storage allocated to goods transacted between local recipients and senders. The method further includes generating a listing for a good, within an online marketplace, and associating the listing with a sender hub. Additionally, the method includes aggregating listings associated with sender hubs matched to a recipient hub, presenting the subset of listings to the recipient. When a good is purchased by a recipient, the method includes generating and serving a sender order prompting delivery of the good to the sender hub, generating and serving a hub ticket prompting storage of the good and release of the good to the recipient, and generating and serving a recipient receipt including a prompt to accept delivery of the good.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing an end to end full stack customer portal are provided. A customer portal may be configured by a commerce platform based on configuration settings received from a merchant, the configuration settings indicating a set of functions to be provided by the customer portal. Upon receiving a request to generate a portal session, the commerce platform may generate the portal session and a portal session object, the portal session object comprising a uniform resource locator (URL) to provide access to the portal session. The portal session object may be transmitted to the merchant. In response to a portal access request made via the URL, the commerce platform may provide access to the customer portal via the portal session, to a customer who made the portal access request.

Abstract: A garment life cycle tracking system utilizes a Radio Frequency Identification, RFID, device to retrieve life cycle data about the garment. The RFID device may be scanned by an interactive device, such as a mobile phone, and the RFID identifier may be used to retrieve data from a database, such as through a website interface. A mobile phone or other computing device may have an application software that interfaces with the database or website. Life cycle data may include date of manufacture, former locations of purchase, date of purchase, cost of garment, date of return of garment, type of garment and the like. A customer may track a garment after returning a garment to see when and where the garment is subsequently purchased. This system may promote recycling of garments and reduce the environmental impact of garment production.

Abstract: Systems and methods for designing a virtual environment are provided. Various data are used, including images that depict different room layouts and styles, physical measurements and limitations of objects depicted in the images (e.g., dimension information, attributes purchase information, etc.), and object placement rules to assist with object placement in a virtual environment. The data may be displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI), and in response to selection of an object and/or room layout, the GUI may be populated with a virtual environment displayed in a design window of the GUI with objects placed in the virtual environment. The objects may be visually organized based on object placement rules and/or inspirational design elements.

Abstract: A service engine of a processor-based system determines an estimated amount of taxes due in association with a proposed transaction based on a risk tolerance value specified by a party to the transaction, such as a seller. Multiple classification code queries are generated for classifying an item that is the subject of the proposed transaction, from which a plurality of classification code candidates are determined. Each such classification code candidate is considered in determination of multiple corresponding possible tax-due amounts, and the taxes due for the proposed transaction are determined by the service engine based on a statistical calculation corresponding to the specified risk tolerance value. The service engine provides the estimated tax due amount to one or more parties to the proposed transaction.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for dynamically generating user interface elements and associated values are presented. An item listing and profile data are accessed. A set of user interface elements are dynamically generated based on the item listing and the profile data, with each user interface element configured to perform an action on the item listing. A set of values are dynamically determined, with each value being associated with a user interface element of the set of user interface elements. The set of user interface elements are then caused to be presented within the item listing.

Abstract: A multi-platform e-commerce system with a virtual cart is disclosed. The system includes one or more processors and a memory device storing a set of instructions that when executed by the one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to: create an internal virtual cart associated with the multi-platform e-commerce system; in response to the creation of the internal virtual cart, create an external virtual cart associated with one or more single e-commerce platforms; in response to every action taken in the internal virtual cart associated with the multi-platform e-commerce system, enable performance of an immediate corresponding action on the external virtual cart associated with the one or more single e-commerce platforms.

Abstract: Technologies are disclosed herein for distributing information. The disclosed technologies determine an application element configured to receive information that is updated at a variable rate, the information pertaining to an object. Feature data is received that is associated with the object and data associated with use of the application element. The feature data includes a time horizon for the object and supplemental information associated with the object. Based on the feature data and the data associated with use of the application element, a first rate is predicted for sending the information about the object to the application element. The information is sent to the application element at the first rate.

Abstract: A computer system and the computer-implemented method of generating and providing haircare product recommendations to a subject. The method comprises determining, by a computing device, an exposure amount of light impacting a subject's hair; determining, by the computing device, a damage assessment of the subject's hair based on the type of light and amount of light exposure; and providing, by the computing device, at least one haircare product recommendation to the subject, wherein the recommendation is directed to repair damage to the hair provided in the damage assessment.
