Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for pressure-based apparel image searching are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes converting images in a product catalog of an electronic commerce website to a predetermined representation; storing the converted images in an index; determining a first object of interest within an image derived from a social media post and displayed on a screen, by detecting physical contact imparted by a user at a position on the screen corresponding to where the first object of interest is located; quantifying the amount of pressure applied by the user via the physical contact; determining additional objects of interest within the image based on the amount of pressure applied by the user; retrieving, from the index, images of products corresponding to the first object of interest and images of products corresponding to the additional objects of interest; and displaying the retrieved images on the screen.

Abstract: A purchasing agent application operates on a mobile device to facilitate a user's purchase of a product featured on a web page of a third party merchant for a gift recipient. The user can select an option in a web browser to share the web page URL with the application. The application communicates with a server to streamline the purchase process based on previously entered user identity, payment and shipping information. The application and/or server use machine learning models to automate the completion of any one or more form fields and/or link selections that the user would otherwise be required complete on the third party merchant's web site to execute the purchase. None of the user, the application or the server need have any prior relationship with the third party merchant. The machine learning models can be trained, for example, using supervised learning, unsupervised learning and/or reinforcement learning techniques.

Abstract: A system for pickup of assembled grocery orders is described herein. The system includes a drive-through lane, a check-in unit associated with the drive through lane, a cashier workstation, an assembly line system configured to deliver grocery items to the cashier workstation, and a computing system. The computer system includes a processor programmed to operate the assembly line system to deliver grocery items to the cashier workstation by receiving first information from a main assembly line scanning device indicating the grocery items being transported by a main assembly line, receiving second information from the workstation scanning device indicating a corresponding grocery item included in a grocery order is adjacent to the cashier workstation, and displaying a notification message on a monitor display screen indicating the corresponding grocery item is adjacent to the cashier workstation.

The system includes a GPS unit configured to detect location data associated with the vehicle. The system also includes an electronic control unit (ECU) configured to determine sign data based on the image data associated with the realtor sign and house data based on the image data associated with the house. The ECU is also configured to determine house location data based on the location data. The system includes a vehicle transceiver configured to communicate the sign data, the house data, and the house location data. The system includes a remote data server configured to receive the sign data, the house data, and the house location data and update the real estate listing data stored in memory.
Abstract: A method of and system for recommending one or more products to a consumer from a plurality of products, the system comprising: a user interface; and a processor configured to: provide a list of questions for the consumer at the user interface, each question having a defined set of answers; calculate a consumer score for each question using the answer chosen by the consumer at the user interface; calculate a recommendation score for each question, using the consumer score; and select the one or more products for recommendation to the consumer based on the recommendation score.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a delayed purchase based on input from another is described. One embodiment receives a selection of a product. A selection of at least one other person and at least one condition is also received. The at least one condition to be met before a purchasing of the product can be completed, the at least one condition to be met via a response received from the at least one other person. The method further receives a prior authorization for a purchase of the product. The system then monitors the at least one condition and the response received from the at least one other person to determine when the at least one condition is met and automatically purchases the product when the at least one condition is met.

Amounts and timing of user purchases are recorded and analyzed to determine consumption rates for various products. A list of recommended products is generated for a user including previous purchases. Expected runout dates for products may be determined based on previous purchases and consumption rates. The list of recommended products may be prioritized based on expected runout dates. A listing of products may be presented with one or both of validation and alternative indicators associated with items of the list. A validation indicator indicates that the product satisfies a criteria and an alternative indicator indicates that an alternative product satisfies the criteria better than the product.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a database, memory, and processor. The database stores a purchase history, assigned to a user, that includes records of products and a ticket for travel to a second location on a first date. The memory stores categories, each of which is assigned to weather conditions and includes products for which a positive correlation exists between consumer demand and a presence of one or more weather conditions. The processor determines that the user will be in the second location on a third date and obtains a predicted weather condition at the second location on the third date. The weather condition is assigned to a category including a product. The processor determines that a probability the user has a need for the product is greater than a threshold and sends a product recommendation to the user. The processor receives a purchase request from the user and completes a purchase.
Abstract: Auto-generation of multi-merchant interactive image collections is described. A plurality of interactive images associated with multiple merchants can be accessed. An interactive image of the plurality of interactive images can depict one or more items offered for sale by a merchant and individual items of the one or more items can be associated with individual selectable controls. A selectable control can enable a customer to view item information associated with an individual item with which the selectable control is associated. A subset of interactive images of the plurality of interactive images can be included in an interactive image collection. The subset of interactive images can be associated with two or more merchants. The subset of interactive images can be presented via a display of a device to enable the customer to add at least the individual item to a virtual cart via an interaction with the selectable control.
Abstract: In one scenario, a computer system receives from a user an indicator of a home décor item. The computer system identifies a color associated with the presented home décor item, and further determines other home décor items that have colors that coordinate with the color of the presented home décor item. The computer system also displays to the user images of the determined other home décor items, receives user input selecting some of the displayed home décor items and informs the user which of the selected home décor items are available at the retail establishment.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for leveraging user shopping habits to deliver store-relevant materials in a more efficient manner. User location and other relevant information may be analyzed to predict an in-store shopping path for future visits, which may include different store areas each having different store-relevant materials (e.g., coupons) associated therewith. Upon a user visiting the store on a future visit, the predicted path may be used to upload data to the user's portable computing device for store-relevant materials in the order in which they will likely be needed. As the user moves within the store, the portable computing device may purge data associated with store areas that have already been visited while pre-fetching the next store area likely to be visited next.
