  • Patent number: 10433255
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system that may help control when a network will request (and receive) a remaining battery energy level report from a UE. Per the disclosure, a network that has an established radio-link-layer connection with the UE could track an amount of time in which the UE operates in a radio-link-layer connected mode. The network could then determine whether the amount of time in which the UE has operated in the radio-link-layer connected mode has exceeded a predetermined threshold amount of time. And responsive to determining that the amount of time in which the UE has operated in the radio-link-layer connected mode has exceeded the threshold amount of time, the network could cause the UE to report to the network the remaining battery energy level of the UE.

  • Patent number: 10390342
Abstract: A method for sidelink communication between a first wireless node and a second wireless node is described, the sidelink communication using sub-frames of a first type and a second type. The first wireless node determines whether the first wireless node is an initiator or responder of the sidelink communication. If the first wireless node determines that the first wireless node is an initiator of the sidelink communication, then it transmits data directly toward the second wireless node using the first sub-frame type. Alternatively, if the first wireless node determines that the first wireless node is a responder of the sidelink communication, then it transmits data directly toward the second wireless node using the second sub-frame type, the first sub-frame type being different than the second sub-frame.

  • Patent number: 10367732
Abstract: A server implements a method for sending routing information in an Internet exchange point (IXP) network. The server receives control information from a first IXP member via the IXP network and obtains first routing information from the first IXP member via the IXP network, where the control information comprises an identifier of a second IXP member. Based on the first routing information and the control information, the server generates second routing information for the second IXP member, where the second routing information may be identical to the first routing information or a portion of the second IXP member. After the generation, the server sends the second routing information to the second IXP member. With the second routing information, the second IXP member may obtain some routing capability of the first IXP member.
