  • Patent number: 11406806
Abstract: A method of atraumatic medication pellet delivery using an atraumatic trocar apparatus is described. The atraumatic trocar apparatus includes a cannula and an obturator. The method includes receiving the obturator by the cannula, wherein the obturator passes through the interior passage and exits through the anterior cannula opening so that the obturator anterior rounded tip extends past the anterior cannula end and at least one opening proximate to the anterior rounded tip also extends past the anterior cannula end. The method includes inserting the atraumatic trocar through an incision into subcutaneous tissue along an insertion path to an insertion length. Additionally, the method includes inserting one or more medication pellet into the medication slot of the inserted cannula and delivering the medication pellet(s) through the interior passage of the cannula to a subcutaneous delivery site by inserting the obturator into the posterior opening of the cannula.

  • Patent number: 11406461
Abstract: A delivery system and methods are disclosed for delivering a material to a target site. A delivery instrument is coupled to a robotic manipulator and comprises a delivery device having a distal tip comprising an opening deliver the material to the target site through the opening. A navigation system tracks the delivery device and the target site and generates position signals. One or more controllers are in communication with the robotic manipulator and the navigation system and define a virtual boundary associated with the target site, wherein the virtual boundary is utilized to constrain movement of the delivery device. The one or more controllers control one or more joint motors of the robotic manipulator to move the distal tip of the delivery device with respect to the virtual boundary based on the position signals from the navigation system.

  • Patent number: 11400273
Abstract: Constriction valves for catheters and method of using constriction valves are presented. The catheter valve has a conduit comprising mesh defining a lumen. The catheter also has a biasing member that is configured to bias the lumen from an open position to a closed position by altering an effective length of the conduit or altering the circumference of the conduit. The biasing member is further configured to change its configuration by changes of intraluminal pressure of the valve. A user can insert a tool into a catheter having a valve by manipulating the valve to expand a substantially closed lumen by compressing the biasing member, twisting the biasing member, or pulling on a cord coupled with the valve.

  • Patent number: 11389584
Abstract: Priming systems and infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a priming system comprises a priming conduit having a priming portion and a pressure portion. The priming portion is in fluid communication with a first fluid source, with an inlet and an outlet for ingress and egress of a first fluid from the first fluid source. The pressure portion is in fluid communication with a second fluid source connected by a connector. Disposed within the priming conduit are a biasing member and a valve having an open position and a closed position. The biasing member is in operable communication with the valve to urge the valve into the closed position such that the valve defaults to the closed position. The open position allows the first fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet and the closed position prevents the first fluid from flowing from the inlet to the outlet.
