  • Patent number: 10037577
Abstract: A system and method are provided for displaying market related data, such as traded volume at each price level, or any other trader-selected values, using one or more fixed size bars. In one preferred embodiment, a graphical display interface is provided and includes a plurality of fixed size bars that display traded volume at different price levels. In such an embodiment, the length of each bar may correspond to a predefined maximum value, and each bar may be progressively color-coded using a first graphical format to represent traded volume that is lower than the maximum value. If the traded volume exceeds the maximum value, the overflow value may be represented by progressively color-coding the bar using a second graphical format that may be used in relation to the first graphical format color-coding.

  • Patent number: 9990393
Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed for offloading the processing of data packets. For example, incoming data packets can be processed through an offload processor to generate a new stream of outgoing data packets that organize data from the data packets in a manner different than the incoming data packets. Furthermore, in an exemplary embodiment, the offloaded processing can be resident in an intelligent switch, such as an intelligent switch upstream or downstream from an electronic trading platform.

  • Patent number: 9922330
Abstract: A system for advertising on a Peer-to-Peer network detects a search request of a node in a Peer-to-Peer network. After detecting a search request, the system prepares an unsolicited response (e.g., advertisement) to the search request of the node. Once the unsolicited response is prepared, the system sends the unsolicited response to the node. For example, a Peer-to-Peer network node issues a search request and a system prepares an advertisement (e.g., an unsolicited response). After preparing the advertisement, the system sends the advertisement to the Peer-to-Peer network node that issued the search request. The process of sending advertisements can be made to each node issuing a search request without discrimination. In one example, the system detects a search request of a node in a Peer-to-Peer network; prepares an advertisement in response to the search request of the node based on a predetermined search criteria; and sends the advertisement to the node for advertising on the Peer-to-Peer network.

  • Patent number: 8799128
Abstract: The present invention provides a seamless entry system that comprises a universal session manager. Users connect to the host service provider with a unique username and password. Then, through a series of data exchanges between the universal session manager, a validation database, and the remote service module, the customer may be transparently logged into remote service providers. Internet banking customers utilize a browser system to connect to a host server providing a range of banking services supported by a remote or distinct server. According to the method, the customer first enters a username and password to gain access to the host service provider. The universal session manager transmits data required for login to the remote service provider. The user is thus able to utilize the remote services with his/her web browser system without having entered a username or password particular to the remote service.

  • Patent number: 8762279
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention enable cardholders conducting an online transaction to be authenticated in real-time using a challenge-response application. The challenge-response application can be administered by an issuer or by a third party on-behalf-of an issuer. A challenge question can be presented to the cardholder, and the cardholder's response can be verified. The challenge question presented can be selected based on an analysis of the risk of the transaction and potentially other factors. A variety of dynamic challenge questions can be used without the need for the cardholder to enroll into the program. Additionally, there are many flexible implementation options of the challenge-response application that can be adjusted based on factors such as the location of the merchant or the location of the consumer.

  • Patent number: 8744964
Abstract: A method and system for managing transaction card accounts involves providing a customer a transaction card account by a financial institution against which the customer can charge predetermined types of transactions during predefined account statement periods and sending a statement of charges against the account to the customer at an end of each account statement period specifying a due date, after which a predefined late fee is assessed on the account if the statement is not paid. However, the late fee is automatically waived on the account within specified products if the customer makes a purchase or secures a cash advance during the account statement period for which the payment is due. Further, a voice response unit of the financial institution gives the customer a first menu option to opt out of a voice response unit scripted call and speak directly to a live representative about the account at any time during the call.
