Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses provide a system for providing an event based insurance model in which insurance rates are adjusted based on events occurring during a drive. The system may include computing devices in one or more vehicles or in a cloud. Using such computing devices, the system may provide recommendations to drivers based on their surroundings. In particular, the system may identify individuals, such as passengers and other drivers, in proximity to a particular vehicle and provide recommendations to the driver of that vehicle when such individuals might negatively influence the driver's performance or otherwise be a danger to the driver. The system may also monitor the driver's reactions to recommendations and determine adjustments to insurance rates based on such reactions.

Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for a system for control of device identity and usage in a process data network. The present invention is configured to receive an indication that a user has executed a transaction using a mobile device; receive a request to validate mobile device identity; retrieve financial credentials from the mobile device; retrieve device information associated with the mobile device used in the execution of the transaction; determine whether the retrieved financial credentials and the device information meet a condition of the block chain; receive an indication that the retrieved financial credentials and the device information meet the condition of the block chain thereby validating the request; and allow the execution of the transaction to be completed based on at least receiving the indication that the retrieved financial credentials and the device information meet the condition of the block chain.

Abstract: A method for operating digital electronic appliance that empanels several different artificial intelligence (AI) classification technologies into a “jury” uses combinational digital logic to render “verdicts” about the need for service and impending equipment failures of the machines they monitor. Networks can be used to forward signals from remote locations to a centralized appliance that may be plugged as a module into a server. The appliance outputs can also be communicated over networks to servers that will muster appropriate maintenance personnel who are forewarned as to the nature of the trouble.

Abstract: In a payment-enabled smartphone, a customer verification method (CVM) may be performed without prompting the user to provide any input. An outcome of the resulting passive CVM process may be an input to a risk based decision process performed by the smartphone, by a point of sale terminal and/or by an issuer of a payment card account accessed via the payment-enabled smartphone. The risk based decision process may determine whether a payment transaction is approved or declined.

Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed for offloading the processing of data packets. For example, incoming data packets can be processed through an offload processor to generate a new stream of outgoing data packets that organize data from the data packets in a manner different than the incoming data packets. Furthermore, in an exemplary embodiment, the offloaded processing can be resident in an intelligent switch, such as an intelligent switch upstream or downstream from an electronic trading platform.

Abstract: A variety of user interfaces, systems and methods are provided for traders of commodities, futures contracts, derivatives, stocks, etc. A user interface may have two display modes, locked and unlocked. In the locked mode, some or all of the data fields (price, bids, offers—optionally bids and offers not exposed to the market) are locked. In the unlocked mode, all the data fields, including the price column, are dynamically updated. In a second embodiment, a price column is divided such that prices above the market are in a first column and prices below the market are in a second column to reduce the number of columns required to show bids, offers and prices. Optionally, the trader's bids and offers not exposed to the market can be shown in columns adjacent to the market bids and offers. In a third embodiment of the invention orders are cancelled if the market changes within a short period of time before the order is placed and the change does not benefit the user.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to routing process authorizations to determine an appropriate legal entity name when an alternate entity name is provided. The system stores alternate entity names in a private or semi-private block chain distributed network, where a block chain ledger keeps an ongoing record of the alternate entity names and their associated legal entity name. When an authorization request is received that does not include a known legal entity name, the system will match the listed entity name with one of the stored alternate entity names, and thereby determine the legal entity name that should be associated with the authorization request.

Healthcare payment request claims are analyzed by predictive models and their behavioral details are compared to running profiles unique to each healthcare provider submitting the claims. A decision results that the instant healthcare payment request claim is or is not fraudulent-wasteful-abusive. If it is, a second analysis of a group behavioral in which the healthcare provider is clustered using unsupervised learning algorithms and compared to a running profile unique to each group of healthcare providers submitting the claims. An overriding decision results if the instant healthcare payment request claim is or is not fraudulent-wasteful-abusive according to group behavior.

Abstract: Methods and systems for evaluating the effectiveness of autonomous operation features of autonomous vehicles using an accident risk model are provided. According to certain aspects, an accident risk model may be determined using effectiveness information regarding autonomous operation features associated with a vehicle. The effectiveness information may indicate a likelihood of an accident for the vehicle and may include test data or actual loss data. Determining the likelihood of an accident may include determining risk factors for the features related to the ability of the features to make control decisions that successfully avoid accidents. The accident risk model may further include information regarding effectiveness of the features relative to location or operating conditions, as well as types and severity of accidents. The accident risk model may further be used to determine or adjust aspects of an insurance policy associated with an autonomous vehicle.

A customizable spreadsheet application using the application interface according to the invention may be executed or stored either at the client or at a server.
