  • Patent number: 10475030
Abstract: Embodiments enable a system operatively connected with a block chain distributed network to use the block chain distributed network for validation (i.e., authorization) of a payment transaction. The system receives a transaction record associated with a payment transaction, wherein the transaction record comprises transaction data indicating a payor, a payee and an amount; accesses a distributed ledger stored in the memory device, wherein the distributed ledger is updated based on communications from a block chain distributed network; and, using payment transaction logic, determines whether the transaction record represents a valid transaction by, e.g., communicate the transaction record to a validating node for validation of the transaction record. Once validated, the system (or validating node) communicates validation of the transaction record to the block chain distributed network, e.g.

  • Patent number: 10467704
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use and determining risks associated with operation of a vehicle having one or more autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, a virtual log of data regarding performance of the features in a virtual test environment may be recorded during operation of the vehicle. This may include information regarding the vehicle, the vehicle environment, use of the autonomous operation features, and/or control decisions made by the features. The control decisions may include evasive maneuvers performed by the vehicle under the control of the features. The performance data in the virtual log may be used to determine risk levels associated with vehicle operation by the autonomous operation features. The risk levels may further be used to adjust an insurance policy associated with the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10460378
Abstract: Enforcing payment card policies using a financial institution agent coupled to a payment processing network. The advisory device intercepts messages directed to an authorization element at an authorizing bank, modifies the intercepted messages in response to a set of financial policy rules, and forwards the intercepted messages to the authorization element. The authorization element responds to any modifications made by the financial institution agent, and issues a grant or a denial of of authorization in response. The financial policy rules include a set of policy limits for use of the payment card, responsive to card usage type, merchant type and location, amount per transaction (or for a selected duration), number of transactions, and combinations thereof Financial policy rules can include side effects, including notifications or two-step authorization (with the cardholder or a monitoring party), transaction records, and combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 10453123
Abstract: An electronic trading system utilizes a Match Engine that receives orders, stores them internally, calculates tradable combinations and advertises the availability of real and implied orders in the form of market data. New tradable items defined as combinations of other tradable items may be included in the calculation of tradable combinations. The disclosed embodiments relate to detection of market conditions where identification of implied opportunities may, for example, subvert real orders resulting in undesirable effects. Under circumstances where such undesirable effects are likely to occur, identification of implied opportunities may be delayed thereby allowing market forces to attempt to resolve the aberrant market conditions and avoid the undesirable effects.

  • Patent number: 10453134
Abstract: A variety of user interfaces, systems and methods are provided for traders of commodities, futures contracts, derivatives, stocks, etc. A user interface may have two display modes, locked and unlocked. In the locked mode, some or all of the data fields (price, bids, offers—optionally bids and offers not exposed to the market) are locked. In the unlocked mode, all the data fields, including the price column, are dynamically updated. In a second embodiment, a price column is divided such that prices above the market are in a first column and prices below the market are in a second column to reduce the number of columns required to show bids, offers and prices. Optionally, the trader's bids and offers not exposed to the market can be shown in columns adjacent to the market bids and offers. In a third embodiment of the invention orders are cancelled if the market changes within a short period of time before the order is placed and the change does not benefit the user.
