Abstract: Technologies for closed-looped testing of integrated circuit card payment terminals include loading a test profile onto an integrated circuit payment card. Authorization request and response messages are locally generated and translated to simulate acquirer processor processing and payment network processing. An outcome report indicative of the outcome of the test transaction is generated and transmitted to a remote certification server. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: In some embodiments, system, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein useful for managing retail product inventory including a plurality of sensors configured to detect individual presence of multiple different products within a retail shopping facility. A central control system communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors to receive sensor information comprising identifiers detected by the plurality of sensors. The central control system comprises a central control circuit coupled with memory storing code that when implemented causes the central control circuit to: access the received sensor information and determine, at a current time and for each detected first product, a confidence value corresponding to a level of confidence that the first product is still present and within a first threshold area corresponding to a first location where the first product was most recently sensed. The confidence value may decay over time proportional to a first decay period of time.

Abstract: The disclosed systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer programs embodied on computer-readable media may enable a shipping carrier to determine the utilization of a trailer in a delivery network by receiving and aggregating disparate types and sources of shipping information, including, for example, package billing data from a customer order, scan data from the loading and unloading of packages transported by the trailer, dimensional data received from dimensional scans of packages at carrier shipping hubs, and/or trailer data including the volume of the trailer. Utilization may be determined for each trailer in a carrier delivery network or for a subset of trailers in the network. The determined utilizations may be used to determine the parameters for an optimized delivery network, which may include the addition, elimination, and/or modification of the delivery schedule.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique provides a compromised payment card risk assessment. The technique involves gathering, by processing circuitry, compromised payment card data. The technique further involves identifying, by the processing circuitry, a set of compromised payment cards from the compromised payment card data. The technique further involves providing, in response to identifying the set of compromised payment cards and by the processing circuitry, a compromised payment card assessment report which includes a set of payment card entries corresponding to the set of compromised payment cards. Each payment card entry includes (i) identification data which identifies a respective compromised payment card and (ii) a score which indicates an estimated likelihood that the respective compromised payment card will actually be used for fraud. Such scores may be based on summations of different sub-scores and serve as overall numerical measures of risk.

Abstract: Described are systems and techniques configured to present information to a user of a materials handling facility storing items in inventory locations. A device such as a head-mounted display or a tablet computer is configured to provide an augmented reality user interface in which computer-generated data overlays objects in the real-world. The user interface may present information associated with assisting other users of the facility, operation of the facility, and so forth.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for facilitating trading of pre-owned merchandise. During operation, the system receives, at a server, recycle information associated with an item that a first user intends to purchase and stores the recycle information and identification information of the first user in a database. The recycle information specifies identification and price information associated with the item. The system receives, from a second user, a request for an offer price for a for-sale item. The system then queries the database to identify one or more users who intend to purchase the for-sale item, calculates offer prices provided by the identified users for the for-sale item, and provides a list of the identified users and the calculated offer prices to the second user.

Abstract: In some examples, a merchant device at a point of sale (POS) location may present information to a merchant in a first language preferred by the merchant, and may present information to a buyer in a second language preferred by the buyer. The merchant device may switch between the different languages in response to detecting a change in the physical orientation of a display. For instance, in a first orientation in which the display is viewable from a merchant direction, the merchant device may present information in the language preferred by the merchant. When the orientation of the display is changed to a second orientation in which the display is viewable from a buyer direction, the merchant device may present information in the language indicated to be preferred by the buyer. Various techniques may be used for determining the preferred language of a particular buyer.

Abstract: In some embodiments, methods and systems are provided that permit a customer to purchase one or more products but not take possession of the products or cause delivery of the products at the time of the purchase order. The products are then stored at one or more product storage locations of the retailer while being marked as purchased by the customer in an inventory management database of the retailer. The customer is provided with a customer interface including a plurality of input fields configured to allow the customer to define one or both of: a delivery time period and a delivery destination for delivery of at least a portion of the products purchased by the customer; and a pickup location and a pickup time period for at least a portion of the products purchased by the customer.

Abstract: A system and method to facilitate discovery and reservation of travel options suitably include routing processing, flight selection processing, and fare validation processing. Flight selection processing generates flight combinations for each routing discovered by the routing processing. Not all flight combinations are allowed to proceed thus permitting better flight combinations to emerge. Fare validation processing loads fares, checks availability, and validates them according to the specifics associated with each fare. A list of low cost travel solutions is returned to a travel consumer.

Abstract: Assigning boxes to available spaces in storage bays may include: obtaining a first data structure identifying available spaces in multiple storage bays, the first data structure including xyz measurements of available spaces, and the multiple storage bays including one or more boxes; comparing, by a processor, for match xyz dimensions of a box with xyz dimensions of one or more available spaces in the first data structure to identify a matching available space, the box being selected from a second data structure identifying boxes to be placed into the multiple storage bays; and assigning, based on a match, the box to the matching available space, and removing the box from the second data structure, and the matching available space from the first data structure. The assigning of boxes may be combined with identifying desired products to be ordered, and ordering products based on available spaces in the storage bays.

Abstract: A method for processing transaction information for a commodity object is provided. The method includes receiving a request for purchasing a commodity object and generating, based on the request, a transaction order. The transaction order may include transaction amount information, information about a first user selling the commodity object, and information about a second user purchasing the commodity object. The method may further include setting an amount of fund in a fund account of the second user to a frozen state, and after a preset time period, transferring the amount of fund to a fund account of the first user. After the amount of fund is set to the frozen state and before the amount of fund is transferred to the fund account of the first user, an income produced by the amount of fund may be calculated and transferred to the fund account of the second user.

The first application wrapper of the first application may provide a policy enforcement layer between the first application and an operating system of the computing device, and the policy enforcement layer may control execution of the first application based on one or more mobile device management policies. Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful for a retail shopping facility to track products being shelved therein. In one example, this tracking is accomplished without the use of RFID tags and RFID readers, but instead, employs overhead electronic image capturing devices. By one approach, the images obtained are compared to a store planogram and alerts are sent to the associate or worker stocking the shelves to correct the stocking process. As the images may be captured and analyzed in real-time, the system may redirect the worker during the shelving process to prevent items from being stocked or shelved in an incorrect location for long. In one embodiment, the system includes a product database, overhead electronic image capturing devices, portable electronic devices, and a control circuit in communication with the product database, overhead electronic image capturing devices, and the portable electronic devices.

Abstract: A system and method for processing an electronic device. The electronic device is identified. User instructions associated with the electronic device are retrieved utilizing a testing system. The user instructions are communicated from the testing system for performing cosmetic inspection of the electronic device, customer personal information (CPI) analysis of the electronic device, software analysis of the electronic device, validation and restoring of default content software and settings, and functional testing. Verification information is received from a user of implementation of the user instructions.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed that detect and interpret the meaning of visual indicators (such as LEDs) of devices, and provide information and solutions to potential malfunctions to users. For example, image data of the visual indicators can be captured by an image capture device (such as a camera). The image data may then be analyzed to identify an object captured in the image data. Luminescence of pixel values in the image data corresponding to a visual indicator of the object may be used to determine a sequence of the visual indicator. Then, information corresponding to the meaning of the sequence may be sent to a device of a user or owner of the object.
