  • Patent number: 11588347
Abstract: A processor receives an indication of a fault from a first isolation device. The processor sends a first open command to a downstream isolation device downstream of the fault, identifies a tie-in isolation device, and identifies a line section without current monitoring positioned between the tie-in isolation device and the downstream isolation device. The line section has a plurality of line segments, each having a load rating. The processor receives incoming and exiting current measurements for the line section and estimates a first current load for each of the line segments in the line section based on the incoming and exiting current measurements and the load ratings. The processor selects an intermediate isolation device between the tie-in isolation device and the downstream isolation device based on the first current loads, sends a second open command to the intermediate isolation device, and sends a close command to the tie-in isolation device.

  • Patent number: 11566968
Abstract: Systems and methods for control of the delivery of contaminates are provided. A conveyor moves contaminate particles from a hopper into an airflow. The contents of a hopper at multiple time points within a sliding window of time are weighted with a scale. A processor applies linear regression to a data set comprising the time points as an independent variable and the weight measurements as a dependent variable, resulting in a determination of a line fitting the data set. A processor determines a current mass flow rate of the contaminate particles from the slope of the line. The processor determines an estimated change in the conveyor motor speed needed to achieve the target mass flow rate, the estimated change determined from a predetermined mapping of flow rates to motor speeds, the estimated change based on the current mass flow rate, the target mass flow rate, and a predetermined fraction.

  • Patent number: 11355961
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for fast reconfiguration of power supply grid in tens of milliseconds after power grid failure. The master station of fast reconfiguration of power grid concentrates the network status information from the client stations at transformer substations or power plants, and compares it with the built-in control strategy table which deals with possible faults. When an expected power gird disconnection fault is detected, the pre-start switch-on instruction is sent to the client stations with multiple breakers which can reconnect the grid. When the fault is cleared, the client stations shall identify the fault clearing time according to the local information, and send the instruction of synchronous switch-on to the corresponding local breakers which can reconnect the separated grids.

  • Patent number: 11274656
Abstract: Provided is a method of determining a power curve, which specifies a correlation between wind speed and a power output of a first turbine. Wind speed is calculated based on a measurement correlation, specifies a correlation between the rotor behavior and the wind speed, derived from rotor behavior. The measurement correlation is trained using a second turbine of identical construction having a sensor. While the second turbine is operated at varying wind speeds, the sensor repeatedly records and assigns a wind speed to a simultaneously recorded rotor behavior of the second turbine to produce the measurement correlation. The power curve is produced by repeatedly and simultaneously recording a power output of the first turbine and an associated wind speed while operating the first turbine at varying wind speeds. The wind speed is calculated from rotor behavior of the first turbine based on the measurement correlation trained using the second turbine.

  • Patent number: 11221602
Abstract: Simulation of process control environments, including dynamic properties, with a modified first-order Taylor series expansion. By using more linear calculations, a physical dynamic property is approximated in less time and with fewer computing resources. By adjusting the approximation to introduce curvature, a physical dynamic property is represented over a wider range than with basic linear series expansions. A comparison to a basic linear first-order series expansion identifies conditions when a rigorous update of a dynamic property is needed.
