In the case where a temperature is set on the basis of an operation of the operation screen, a control command for setting to the air conditioner the set temperature is output to the network, and information related to an operation state of the air conditioner is displayed in the region corresponding to the one room based on the operation of the operation screen.

Abstract: Embodiments in accordance with this invention disclose systems and methods for implementing head tracking based graphical user interfaces that incorporate gesture reactive interface objects. The disclosed embodiments perform a method in which a GUI includes interface objects is rendered and displayed. Image data of an interaction zone is captured. A targeting gestured targeting a targeted interface object is detected in the captured image data and a set of 3D head interaction gestures are enabled. Additional image data is captured. Motion of at least a portion of a human head is detected and one of the 3D head interactions is identified. The rendering of the interface is modified in response to the detection of one of the 3D head interactions and the modified interface is displayed.

Abstract: A mobile application tool is disclosed to provide remote access to data, and in particular test data. In embodiments disclosed, the mobile application tool includes a mobile test interface component configured to receive an access input associated with one or more testing devices and invoke an interface to a remote test platform to retrieve one or more testing device selections for the one or more testing devices associated with the access input. The tool includes a display function configured to receive the one or more testing device selections and invoke a graphical user interface to display the one or more test device selections and data associated with the one or more test device selections.

Abstract: A method of receiving text entries on a display of an infotainment system including a character input slider that has a slider controller, includes sensing gesture as the slider controller is moved, moving the slider controller along the character input slider in a direction of a sensing result when the gesture is in proximity with the slider controller along the character input slider, presenting one character when the slider controller is in a proximity with a location related to the one character on the character input slider, focusing the one character when the gesture regarding moving the slider controller is not detected for a predetermined period of time, selecting the one character when a predetermined gesture other than the gesture is detected after focusing the one character, and entering the selected one character into an active location of an active text input field.

Abstract: Architecture that aggregates realtime geo-referenced data over areas such as physical world geographical areas and virtually-defined areas such as by geofences to provide users with a quick overview and suggestion of activities to do across an area of interest in the spatial extent. The geo-referenced data can be supplied by a provider and/or user. When in combination, event listings can be obtained from providers and social data (e.g., check-in) can be obtained from social websites and/or businesses that make check-in data available freely or under subscription, for example. At least one advantageous outcome of the disclosed aggregation approach is that privacy issues, which currently exist in the industry by showing exact locations of user-contributed data, are overcome. While aggregating over larger spatial extents having high activity, the events supplied by provider listings are assigned scores that show trending and/or high-user activity volumes, and therefore, can be suggested to users.

A media device having a media playback application and including a touch-sensitive user interface can be adapted to display a visual array of media options, for example as a grid or list of card elements. Each media option can be associated with one or more media content items that can be streamed to and/or played on the device. The system can determine a selected card element, or media options that are proximate to a selected point or region of the visual array, and play or crossfade media content as appropriate. In accordance with various embodiments, additional features can be provided that improve user interaction, for example the use of audible notifications, media caching, or touch menus.

At least a subset of the access devices is associated with a predefined group of users. On a client device, an execution platform may provide a graphical user interface (GUI) through which a software designer can visually develop an application. The execution platform may represent the application as pages with each page containing zero or more widgets. From this representation, a database schema is automatically created and populated, and then stored on a server device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for setting a font size in a mobile terminal having a touch screen. During a font size setting mode, an area of a region where a user's finger touches the screen is detected. A font size corresponding to the detected area is determined from among preset font sizes, and the determined font size is displayed in a specific region on the touch screen. If a font size setting request to the displayed font size is received from the user, the displayed font size is stored for a subsequent display on the touch screen.

Abstract: Facilitating date selection by a user includes presenting the user with a single timeline band, causing the band to change granularity of date increments in response to the user zooming in and zooming out on the band, causing the band to present different dates based on band positioning initiated by the user, and allowing selection by the user of a date that is presented on the band to the user. The band may show less granular date increments in response to the user zooming in on the band and the band may show more granular date increments in response to the user zooming out on the band. In response to zooming in, a date presented to the user in connection with a less granular view of the band may become part of the date selected by the user.

Abstract: Among other things, traces are received of activities of an online user who is associated with an entity. By analysis of the traces a security state of the entity is inferred. Also, a map is generated between (a) technical assets that contribute to security characteristics of respective entities and (b) the identities of the entities that are associated with the respective technical assets. At least part of the generating of the map is done automatically. A user can be engaged to assist in the generating of the map by presenting to the user through a user interface (a) data about the technical assets of entities and (b) an interactive tool for associating the technical assets with the identities of the entities.

Abstract: Techniques for facilitating social networking via a media device are described. Some embodiments provide a social networking facilitator (“SNF”) as part of a media device, such as a set-top box that is configured to receive media content events from a broadcast system, such as a satellite broadcast system. As the media device presents a media content event, a user can share, via the SNF, information about the presented media content event with members of his social network. In particular, the SNF prepares a message that includes information about or from the presented media content event, such as a title, a channel, a summary, rating, video clip, or the like. This message can then be edited by the user, such as by adding a comment or rating, before being transmitted by the SNF a social networking system, to be forwarded as a notification to members of the user's social network.
