  • Patent number: 11203322
Abstract: A vehicle control system (VCS) in a passenger compartment interfaces with underhood components using a Bluetooth® link. The underhood components include a siren assembly with a sound generator and backup battery. The battery enables the siren assembly to function after the vehicle's battery is disabled. The siren assembly includes a Bluetooth® transceiver for establishing the link with the VCS. The siren assembly monitors the hood of the vehicle through a hood sensor, to detect unauthorized opening. In response to such opening, the siren assembly transmits an alarm to the VCS, which transmits an alarm to a user's mobile device and/or a security service. The sound generator may also be activated, by itself or under control of the VCS. The siren assembly connects to the engine computer/ignition module, to allow the VCS to monitor engine speed, and facilitate proper start of the engine when the VCS receives a remote start command.

  • Patent number: 11155271
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing vehicle collisions based on driver risk groups are provided. A plurality of vehicle operators may be classified into a driver risk group based on one or more attributes (e.g., location, workplace, school, demographic, hobby, interest, etc.) shared by the plurality of vehicle operators. Vehicle sensor data (e.g., speed data, acceleration data, braking data, cornering data, following distance data, turn signal data, seatbelt use data, etc.) associated with each of the plurality of vehicle operators of the driver risk group may be analyzed. Based on the analysis of the vehicle sensor data, one or more indicia of safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be identified. In response to a third-party query regarding a vehicle operator in the driver risk group, an indication of the safe driving behavior associated with the driver risk group may be provided to the third party.

  • Patent number: 11135941
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include automated signaling for networked personal mobility vehicles (PMVs). In some embodiments, a system may identify a PMV in use by a transportation requestor taking a trip. The system may also predict one or more actions of the PMV based on navigational data for the trip. Additionally, the system may select one or more signals corresponding to a predicted action of the PMV. In some embodiments, the system may determine, based on a current state of the PMV, that the predicted action of the PMV will be initiated within a time frame. Furthermore, the system may send a start command to the PMV to initiate a signal in response to determining the predicted action will be initiated. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
