  • Patent number: 11906574
Abstract: Aspects include a hybrid socket dynamic warp indicator for socket connector systems and methods of using the same to measure the warpage of a printed circuit board assembly. The method can include providing a printed circuit board having a plurality of pads and a socket. A warp indicator having a plurality of solder joint connections and a resistor array is electrically coupled to the printed circuit board to build a printed circuit board assembly. The printed circuit board assembly is subjected to a thermal event. A resistance across the resistor array is measured after the thermal event. A number of separations between one or more pads of the printed circuit board and one or more solder joint connections of the warp indicator is determined based on a change in the resistance. A defective warpage condition for the socket is determined based on the number of separations.

  • Patent number: 11909362
Abstract: This application relates to amplifier circuitry, in particular class-D amplifiers, operable in open-loop and closed-loop modes. An amplifier (300) has a forward signal path for receiving an input signal (SIN) and outputting an output signal (SOUT) and a feedback path operable to provide a feedback signal (SFB) from the output. A feedforward path provide a feedforward signal (SFF) from the input and a combiner (105) is operable to determine an error signal (?) based on a difference between the feedback signal and the feedforward signal. The feedforward comprises a compensation module (201) configured to apply a controlled transfer function to the feedforward signal in the closed-loop mode of operation, such that an overall transfer function for the amplifier is substantially the same in the closed-loop mode of operation and the open-loop mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 11901250
Abstract: A semiconductor chip or die is mounted at a position on a support substrate. A light-permeable laser direct structuring (LDS) material is then molded onto the semiconductor chip positioned on the support substrate. The semiconductor chip is visible through the LDS material. Laser beam energy is directed to selected spatial locations of the LDS material to structure in the LDS material a pat gstern of structured formations corresponding to the locations of conductive lines and vias for making electrical connection to the semiconductor chip. The spatial locations of the LDS material to which laser beam energy is directed are selected as a function of the position the semiconductor chip which is visible through the LDS material, thus countering undesired effects of positioning offset of the chip on the substrate.
