Abstract: The invention relates to an article comprising a decorative element to be applied to a person's skin or nail, said decorative element comprising: a decoration to be transferred to a person's skin or nail, said decoration comprising a decorative layer; a support film supporting said decoration, said support film being removably attached to a first outer surface of the decorative layer; a layer of inert adhesive which is applied to a second outer surface of the decorative layer and which can be activated by an activator, and an activator comprising a fluid, pasty, semi-pasty, or solid component which can be applied to a person's skin or nails.

Abstract: A method of separating a support substrate and a wafer adhered to the support substrate includes inserting a trigger member into a space between the support substrate and the wafer. The space opens on a gap region of the support substrate. The gap region is within an outer periphery of a base member of the support substrate. The base member has an adhesive layer contacting the wafer. The adhesive layer does not extend to an edge of the base member facing the gap region at the space. The wafer and the base member are contacted by the trigger member which promotes separation of the wafer and the support substrate from each other.

Abstract: A bag resealing device that is reusable for use with prepackaged bags to prevent spillage and/or aid in food preservation. The reusable nature of the bag resealing device is a result of a plurality of paired adhesive strips and the plurality of perforations wherein each pair of adhesive strips can be individually exposed to allow the bag resealing device to be attached to a different prepackaged bag. The perforations enable the bag resealing device to have the used paired adhesive strips to be torn off to allow the removal of the used pair of adhesives.

Abstract: A kit for protecting a display screen of an electronic device having an in-screen fingerprint sensor is provided. The kit includes a screen protector at least partially formed from a transparent material and an interface coupler configured to be positioned between the screen protector and the display screen proximate the in-screen fingerprint sensor. The interface coupler includes a transparent carrier layer, a first adhesive layer, and a second adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer is positioned on a first surface of the transparent carrier layer and configured to be affixed to the display screen of the electronic device, the first adhesive layer comprising a silicone adhesive or a gel or a gel-like material. The second adhesive layer is positioned on a second surface of the transparent carrier layer and configured to be affixed to the screen protector.

Abstract: A multilayer tape is provided. A method of masking a surface is also provided. The multilayer tape includes an inner layer, at least one middle layer, and an outer carrier layer. The inner layer has a pair of parallel adhesive strips demarking an inner gap having a predetermined width. The middle layer is adhered to the inner layer and has a pair of parallel adhesive strips demarking a middle gap narrower than the inner gap. The outer carrier layer is adhered to the middle layer. The method includes applying a multilayer tape system to a surface and removing the outer carrier layer to expose a preselected gap width. The multilayer tape system includes an inner layer, at least one middle layer, and an outer carrier layer.

Abstract: A label web and method utilize a substrate, first and second longitudinally spaced label arrays each including two or more double-sided adhesive labels removably attached to the substrate, and a peelable protective covering web extending generally coextensive with the substrate. The label arrays and the peelable protective web are configured such that the peelable protective web is selectively removable to expose the first label array while remaining removably attached to the second label array, with both the first and second label arrays remaining removably attached to the substrate, to thereby facilitate removal of all labels in the first label array as a group while the peelable protective covering web remains in place over the second label array.

Abstract: A polymeric tape comprises a facestock extending lengthwise, the facestock including a polymer. An adhesive layer is on a first surface of the facestock. Tear-cuts are formed into at least one longitudinal edge of the facestock and extending inwardly, the tear-cuts being provided all along the at least one longitudinal edge of the facestock.

Abstract: Provided herein are identification collars or devices for a lifeguard. The identification collar and the identification device are generally unitary collars to which a plurality of reflective elements and a plurality of indicia are attached circumferentially on the outer surface of the collar so the wearer is easily identified from any direction. The unitary collars are made from stretchable elastic material.

Abstract: A pre-assembled kit of cut shapes disposed upon a peelable or repositionable adhesive by means of an affixing adhesive protected by a water-soluble coating which is solubilised either prior to and/or on application of the kit to a surface which may be moistened prior to application. When the water-soluble coating is solubilised, in whole or in part, by placing in contact with the moistened surface, it will expose and/or activate, in whole or in part, the pressure-sensitive adhesive beneath the water-soluble coating to the surface to which it is to be applied and the pre-assembled kit will become affixed to the surface. Alternatively, solubilisation of the water-soluble coating may be provided by applying water, preferably warm water, to the water-soluble coating prior to applying the pre-assembled kit to the surface. A method of producing the pre-assembled kit of cut shapes is provided.

Abstract: An anti-wear composite structure includes an anti-wear layer that has a wear surface opposite an adhesive receiving surface and a thermosetting resin applied to the adhesive receiving surface. The thermosetting resin includes a reactive adhesive configured to bond the anti-wear composite structure to a substrate at an ambient temperature band via pressure-sensitive adhesion. The thermosetting resin has an onset to cure in the ambient temperature band and has a peak cure temperature greater than the ambient temperature band to mechanically and chemically bond the anti-wear composite structure to a substrate.

The body has the following components: a main sheet constructed from a thermoformable plastic layer, and a flexible/stretchable ink layer adhered the main sheet. Additionally, the body may employ an adhesive layer comprising a repositionable adhesive adhered to the main sheet and a thermoformable release liner detachably adhered to the adhesive layer. A thermoformable foam layer may reside between the main sheet and the removable adhesive layer. The body is thermoformed into a three-dimensional shape with an anchor region and an elevated region. The anchor region is substantially planar and defines an anchor plane, and the elevated region is outside of the anchor plane. The adhesive layer and release liner may be present in the anchor region and elevated region.

The rug tab can include a support material, having an upper side and a lower side; an upper adhesive layer applied on the upper side of the support material; and a lower adhesive layer applied on the lower side of the support material. The rug tab can be designed such that (i) an upper adhesive layer sheer force is at least 25% greater than a lower adhesive layer sheer force, (ii) an upper adhesive layer peel force is at least twice a lower adhesive layer peel force, or (iii) both options (i) and (ii), where the force values are measured one hour after application of a respective upper or lower adhesive layer to a target surface. Abstract: Provided is a PSA sheet capable of suitably preventing bubble formation caused by outgassing. This invention provides a PSA sheet comprising a PSA layer that forms an adhesive face. In an aging test where the adhesive face is press-bonded to a glass plate and stored at 50° C. for 24 hours, the PSA sheet has at least 5% post-aging non-bonding area Sa, with Sa defined as the ratio of all areas non-bonding to the glass plate relative to the total area of the adhesive face. The non-bonding areas have parts linearly extending along the adhesive face.

Abstract: A label has a topcoat layer and a sacrificial layer. The topcoat layer has a first color having a first L-value and the sacrificial layer has a second color having a second L-value. By peeling away the pads one at a time to selectively expose the next underlying adhesive pad, the decorative ornament can be used multiple times.

Abstract: According to various examples, an assembly can include a backing. The assembly can also include a polymeric surfacing film adhered to the backing, the polymeric surfacing film. The polymeric surfacing film can include a first geometric shape. The polymeric surfacing film includes a continuous first cut defining the geometric shape and a continuous second cut spaced apart from and substantially congruent with the continuous first cut in at least one of an x and y direction. A portion of the polymeric surfacing film, located between the first cut and the second cut, is removable from the backing. According to some examples, the assembly can provide certain benefits over state of the art assemblies. For example, according to some examples, providing the first and second cut can make removal of at least the first geometric shape to be quicker and easier, which can result in significant savings in time and wasted materials.
