Abstract: A snap on non-replaceable cap for a plastic bottle neck has an upper skirt and an inwardly spaced sealing flange, the inner opposed surfaces of the upper skirt and the sealing flange are curved downwardly and away from one another. A tear skirt is joined to the lowermost edge of the upper skirt to form a thin circumferential tear line. An inturned rib is formed on the inner surface of the tear skirt which locks under an external rib on the neck. The tear skirt, including the inturned rib, may be completely or partially torn off to permit the cap to be removed. To facilitate removal, the tear skirt is formed with a vertical tear line from the lower edge thereof to the circumferential tear line. A tab formed adjacent the vertical tear line functions as a lift tab.

Abstract: A container for storing a hazardous product, a lock ring assembled into a neck groove portion of the container and a safety closure threaded over the container to seal the container and encircle the lock ring. An extending tab, on the bottom of the lock ring, is exposed and manually held stationary during the closure removal procedure. The neck groove portion and a mating inside peripheral wall of the lock ring both have equal axis offsets from a central axis of the mating threads on the closure and the container. These offset axes are positioned in alignment to permit closure removal when the extending tab of the lock ring is in contact with an alignment shoulder in the neck groove portion of the container. Serrations on the outside serrated surface of the lock ring and the inside serrated surface of the closure are concentric with the threads on the closure and the container when the offset axes are in alignment.

Abstract: The specification and drawings disclose a plastic sealing or locking cover 1, and a process for using it to seal an aperture of a support 3, such as an opening in an automobile body component. At least one cavity 5 of the locking cover 1 is filled with a medium 6 which can expand under the influence of temperature after mounting of the locking cover 1 in the support aperture 2 to thus press areas of the locking cover against neighboring areas of the support aperture to create a tight seal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a metal cap, the thickness of the skirt of which is 0.06 to 0.4 mm, with at least one tearing ling which includes a cut or tear line and alternating transverse reliefs and external recesses, each recess ending in the tearing line or at least within 0.5 mm thereof, the thickness of the bottom wall of the tear line being 20 to 70% of the thickness of the skirt, and the tearing line having a bottom thickness which is at most equal to 70% of the thickness of the skirt. The invention also relates to a method of producing the cap. The invention is applicable to obtaining tearable tabs for metal caps which tabs tear entirely along the rear line provided without dangerous edges.

Abstract: A drinking vessel comprises a hollow cup having an upper rim defining a mouth opening. A lid removably mounted on the cup extends across the mouth opening to prevent spilling of liquid from the cup. The lid includes a base so mounted on the cup and having a flange extending inwardly from the cup's rim partly across the mouth opening and defining a port aligned with an inner part of the mouth opening. The lid further includes a valve element in register with the port, a seal on the valve element underlying the flange, and an actuator adjoining the valve element and disposed laterally outwardly thereof, such that when the actuator is depressed by downward force of the user's thumb, the valve element pivots downwardly, separating the seal from the flange. A spring normally biases the valve element upwardly with the seal against the flange.

Abstract: An enclosure comprising a container having a bottom, a sidewall attached to the bottom and terminating in an open end. The sidewall has an inner wall surface opposed to an outer wall surface. A closure member made complementary to the open end can be removably affixed thereto. The closure member provides a downwardly extending lip having an inner wall surface opposed to an outer wall surface, one of which slidably adjoins one of said inner and outer wall surfaces of the container wall when the closure member is mated respective to the container. A fixed locking member having an inclined rail thereon is attached to the outer wall surface. Also provided is a sliding locking member having an upper flange that bears against the top of the closure member and a lower rail engaging member of a size to receive the rail therewithin to thereby force the closure member toward the container bottom when the sliding locking member simultaneously engages the closure member and the fixed locking member.

Abstract: A remotely operable vessel cover assembly used with a vessel. The cover assembly has a mounting rim secured to the vessel surrounding a circular opening and a circular cover to fit against the mounting rim. A force ring having a plurality of openings is attached to the cover. Connector pins are attached to and extend from the mounting rim and through a plurality of holes in the cover and the force ring. A lock ring is rotatably attached to the force ring and locks the extending heads of the connector pins to the force ring to restrain the cover in an initial position. A force actuator, disposed between the force ring and the cover, expands under fluid pressure to react against the cover forcing the cover against the mounting rim. Upper and lower ramps are connected to the periphery of the cover and a ramp ring respectively. The ramp ring, rotatably supported between the force ring and the cover, has lower ramps positioned to match upper ramps on the cover.

Abstract: A carrying system which may be utilized for carrying video cameras and accessories therefor comprises a main case and a plurality of accessory cases which interlock for carrying as a single unit. The main case includes clasps for releasably engaging linking straps which are provided on the accessory case for locking the accessory case to the main case. The accessory case is provided with, in addition to the linking straps, clasps like those on the main case so that a plurality of accessory cases may be joined together. Further, slots are provided on a portion of the accessory case such that free ends of the linking straps may be retained when the accessory case is carried alone, and so that the accessory case may be looped through the belt, or shoulder strap of a user for convenient carrying.

The battery and equipment vest which also provides numerous storage pockets, may utilize a battery belt or integrally disposed batteries and recharging equipment to provide a mobile, conveniently disposed power source, which may be recharged without removal from the vest. In order to insure a comfortable fit for multiple users, the battery and equipment vest has adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable waist design which is structured and disposed to orderly maintain electrical interconnection between front portions and rear portions of the vest when worn by any size user. Abstract: A bottle cap assembly it is described which includes a hollow cylindrical body adapted to be fastened to the neck of a soda water bottle to seal the top opening thereof, a valve seat having valves to seal an outlet hole on the hollow cylindrical body, a division plate to hold said valve seat in place, a cap retained on said hollow cylindrical body and a bellows within said body retained by the cap. The device functions when the cap is pressed which causes outside air to be compressed and fed into the soda water container to pressurize the same. A release of the cap causes an expansion of the bellows which readmits outside air into the bellows without releasing the contents of the soda water bottle.

Abstract: A golf bag carrier for a motorcycle which is designed for easy attachment and detachment. The carrier includes a support plate with an attached tubular member. The tubular member is used to secure the support plate to the motorcycle by sliding it over the motorcycle foot peg and securing it with a bolt. The golf bag is secured to the support plate through the use of flexible "bungee cord" devices, one end connected to securement holes attached to the support plate and the other end to the golf bag itself. The golf bag may be further secured laterally by another bungee cord connected to the motorcycle. The carrier is easy to attach and detach, and does not require that the motorcycle itself be altered in any way. The carrier may also be used on motorscooters, bicycles, and other small vehicles.

Abstract: An electronic device such as an external floppy disk drive is accommodated in a housing which has lower and upper cabinets and a door flap. The lower cabinet has at least a pair of first engaging teeth attached to respective side walls thereof, and a pair of spaced lugs mounted on respective side edges of an end thereof. The upper cabinet has at least a pair of second engaging teeth attached to the side walls, respectively, and a pair of spaced side flaps mounted on respective side edges of an end thereof. The first and second cabinets are superposed on each other with the first engaging teeth slidingly engaging the second engaging teeth, respectively. A pair of bushings is inserted in registered holes defined in the lugs and the side flaps. A door flap is angularly movably supported on the first and second cabinets by the bushings.

Abstract: An apparatus for effecting the protection and concealment of a vehicular telephone is arranged for mounting to cover the telephone and receive the same therewithin and securement of the associated container upon a console or alternatively, provision is made for the mounting of the container from a telescoping mount selectively securable relative to a roof portion of an associated vehicle to utilize available space within a passenger compartment of an associated vehicle.

Abstract: A water container cap including a push button for closing and opening a cap member is provided. A nipple disposed in the cap body is pulled up by the cap member when it is opened, by pushing the push button inward within a recess formed in the cap body. The nipple is connected with a soft flexible sucking tube fluidly communicating with the interior of a water container to which the cap is coupled. In this manner, the liquid stored in the water container may be withdrawn by sucking through the nipple.
