Abstract: A fastening device for an adjustable front panel of pull-out furniture parts, particularly for drawers having guide rails, wherein each guide rail has a supporting part with a fastening leaf for cooperation with a retaining part secured to the front panel, and the retaining part being angularly adjustably located on the supporting part at least with respect to height, and being fixable in position by means of fastening screws, comprising an eccentric located in the fastening leaf, which cooperates with a stop in the retaining part.

Abstract: An offshore platform including a deck with an aperture formed through it and a number of clamping means carried by the deck. The clamping means, which may comprise opposed doors, are mounted so as to be selectively movable between a retracted position, to leave the aperture freely open, and an extended position in which the clamping means extend into the aperture. The arrangement is to facilitate lowering and recovering heavy equipment such as a BOP stack.

Abstract: A transit capsule for providing operator access to a sub-sea installation part in a capsule on a sea-bed, the two capsules having complementary means to form a conjunction capsule, has means selectively connecting an expansion vessel in the transit capsule to the other two capsules; on connecting the said other two capsules which are water-filled, their pressures are reduced to the atmospheric pressure in the transit capsule with only a small amount of water being ejected to balance the pressure and this small amount can be inspected to determine the state of the said other two capsules by suitable inspection means.

Abstract: A cabinet assembly of the knockdown type which can be packaged and shipped in an easily handled, relatively compact container, and which can be readily assembled by a user into an attractive, durable, multi-purpose cabinet. The assembly comprises top and bottom members, side members, a rear member, two cross-members, and doors. One, or more, shelves may be provided for the cabinet. Threaded, screw-engaging, nut-like elements are welded directly onto various of the members comprising the assembly to facilitate interconnection of the members into a rigid, high-strength structure. Casters may be provided for the cabinet to enable it to be moved to any desired location.

Abstract: A recessed pull for drawers or the like which have inner and outer front panels disposed at the forward end thereof including an aperture in the outer front panel and a trim piece covering said aperture, said trim piece being provided with grooves or slots along the upper and lower edges in which the edges of the aperture are accommodated and a cover member having rear, top, bottom and side walls, is secured to the front surface of the inner front panel by welding directly to the rear of the aperture formed in the outer front panel to provide the recessed pull.

Abstract: A device for stiffening a rack for electrical or electronic components having an unsupported sheet includes a stiffener member hingedly attached to an edge of the unsupported sheet. The stiffener may be formed as a box section or as a solid member.

Abstract: An apparatus for deploying and taking up an oil fence comprises a floating framework having a substantially enclosed oil fence receiving space therein and one side partly cut away and, roll means disposed in front of the cut-away portion. The roll means can be driven to sinuously house the oil fence within the framework and to pay it out from the latter. Alternatively, a takeup shaft disposed in a box-shaped member with buoyant chambers and fenders may be driven to coil and uncoil the oil fence on and from it through one open side of the box-shaped member.This is a divisional of application Ser. No. 443,131, filed Feb. 15, 1974 now U.S. Pat. No. 3,971,220.

Abstract: The invention relates to a floodgate for use with an earthen levee having a cut therein. The floodgate includes a generally rectangular piece of sheet material having sufficient dimensions to cover the area of the levee defining the cut when the floodgate is in its water-passing position. The floodgate further includes an elongated relatively rigid pole having a length greater than the width of the cut in the levee. A loop is formed in the piece of sheet material along one end thereof, generally across the width thereof, and having a void area encompassed thereby at least as great as the cross-sectional area of the pole so that the pole may be received by the loop, and so that the pole may be rotated to wrap the sheet material around the pole while the pole is received by the loop. Preferably, the sheet is polyethylene having ultra-violet inhibitor, about 14 to 16 mils thick, and about 9 feet by 4 or more feet.

Abstract: A seal assembly for tubular structures such as piling guides and the like, with a plurality of stacked diaphragm members forming enclosed chambers therebetween at the tube ends. The chambers are filled with plastic or elastomer for differential pressure sharing between the diaphragms to avoid overloading and rupture thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device with functional units housed in an armored box and in need of protection, e.g. to an automatic money-dispensing machine. The functional units are accommodated on a pull-out slide-in frame and are closed with an armor plate at the door end, and the armor plate has openings which permit access only to the parts to be serviced.

Abstract: A module for forming the side walls of a cavity resonance device comprises a metal extrusion shaped in cross-section to be of a rectangular U-shape. The walls forming the free ends of the U are provided adjacent each of their free edges with first shaped portions forming part of the extrusion and extending longitudinally therealong. At least one of the walls forming the U-shape module is provided adjacent each edge of the outer surface of said wall with second shaped portions forming part of said extrusion and extending longitudinally therealong. The first shaped portions and the second shaped portions are respectively designed so that the two first shaped portions of one module may respectively be slid longitudinally into to interfit with, the two second shaped portions of another module to connect such modules mechanically and electrically at each interfitting of a first and a second shaped portion.

Abstract: The portable booth is comprised of a front wall and two side walls, to thereby define a three-sided structure. The front wall has an opening and a shelf attached thereto adjacent the lower edge of the opening. The booth is collapsible and adapted to be used for in-store demonstrations of products, cooking techniques, etc.

Abstract: A storage and dispensing cabinet in which tape cassettes or other similar articles are slidably received in parallel slots formed by a housing. Each slot is provided with an integrally formed ejector that includes a rocker positioned beneath the floor of the slot, an ejection arm that extends into the slot along the back of the cassette, a retaining portion that normally extends along the open front end of the slot to positively retain a cassette and an actuator that is accessible from the exterior of the housing. By depressing the actuator, the rocker can be flexed so that the retaining portion moves away from the front of the cassette, while the ejecting arm, which remains substantially unflexed, pushes the front edge of the cassette through the open end of the slot so that it can be grasped and removed. The entire housing can be mounted on a stand so that it can be rotated between an open position and a closed position.

Abstract: A cabinet having a storage compartment with an access opening, a door movable about a main axis for exposing and closing the opening, a secondary access opening in this door of smaller extent and having its own door, hinges for each of said doors asymmetrical with and non-parallel to each other and a movable receptacle in the compartment mounted for movement forwardly and rearwardly of the compartment and with means interconnecting the receptacle and the secondary closure member for movement of the receptacle when either of the access doors are opened but with the movement of the receptacle being less when the main access door is opened.

Abstract: A front-mounted door pull handle assembly is shown on a refrigerator door. The handle is formed of a long extruded metal bar having a mounting bracket fastened on each end. A fastening screw extends through the end of the bar and through the mounting bracket and into a supporting surface. A flexible, decorative cover member snaps over the outside of the bar. The cover has longitudinal ribs to rigidify the cover and hold it on the bar. The bar, in turn, has longitudinal grooves for receiving the ribs.

Abstract: A case for storing a magnetic tape cartridge has a housing, a bias means that opposes movement of a cartridge or a drawer adapted to receive a cartridge into the housing and a latch means for engaging the cartridge or drawer to releasably retain it in the housing. The bias means is positioned near one end of the housing to serve the dual function of pivoting the cartridge or drawer into a latched condition when fully inserted in the housing and also moving the member or drawer toward an open position when unlatched.

Abstract: A door construction for a cabinet such as an ice maker cabinet. The door includes a panel which is reinforced by a framework, with a portion of the door being clamped between a portion of the framework and a support rail. Hinge pins are provided on the cabinet and the door is supported on the pins solely by the rails at opposite sides of the door in the selective positioning of the door in both open and closed positions. The door is adapted for facilitated installation and removal for facilitated servicing of the ice maker. The door manipulating handle is effectively connected to the mounting rails through the clamped door portion. A front decorative panel is secured to the door by side trim elements sandwiched between the side rails and the inner door panel.

Abstract: A fishing tackle box includes a lower box section and an upper box section. The lower box section has a lower wall which is depressed centrally and has an opening therein through which water may drain. The tackle box is provided with shelves having perforated lower walls thereby permitting the entire interior of the tackle box, when opened, to be readily cleaned with a spray of water to remove corrosive salt water therefrom.

Abstract: An open-top, thermally insulated "secondary" case for the storage and display of perishable food stuffs which must be maintained at a refrigerated temperature. The case is "parasitic" in the sense that it itself includes no independent refrigeration apparatus but is, rather, supported on a wall of a primary or "host" refrigerated storage and display case so that, with the aid of a cooperating fixed baffle, air deflection panel, or vane, cooled air from the primary storage case is directed into the secondary case, thereby to cool the interior of the secondary case and the articles retained therein.

Abstract: A reinforcing means for a closure having a slatted, articulated, shutter for openings in a wall of a building, in the form of a readily detachable beam disposed in close proximity with the shutter. The lower end of the beam is attached to the frame of the closure, and the upper end of the beam is received within a slotted member attached to a wall of the building.
