The connector body is exposed to the outside and having at least one pair of terminal holes. Each terminal hole is provided with an engaging block at a position adjacent to the outside respectively. A contact portion is formed at one end of the terminal, and an engaging portion is formed at the other end. Each engaging portion engages with the engaging block, and the opposing contact portions hold a printed circuit board of the mobile electric device. Therefore, the printed circuit board is capable of electrically communicating with the external electric device.

The conjugal means permit a displacement in translation, with the plug in a first orientation, and when the plug is completely inserted at the end of the blind recess of the base a swinging displacement of the plug relative to the base, from the first to a second orientation, in which the plug is immobilized in translation by first locking means on the base and plug.

A slider 40 assembled into the male housing 20 is moved backward by elastic restoring forces of elastically contracted coil springs when female and male housings 10, 20 are properly connected and a locking claw 31 of a lock arm 30 is disengaged from a locking surface 53. By integrally assembling a shorting terminal 60 into the slider 40, the shorting terminal 60 can be moved automatically from a shorting position where contact portions 64 of the shorting terminal 60 are held in contact with male terminal fittings 26 to short them to a clearing position where the contact portions 64 are not in contact with the male terminal fittings 26.

    Abstract: A strain relief housing for use in a communication plug terminating a cable carrying a plurality of conductors. The housing includes a plurality of prongs for segregating the conductors from a cable that is received through a passage in the housing. Means for anchoring the cable in the passage serve to effectively eliminate stress on the electrical connections with the conductors inside the plug. In a preferred embodiment, the strain relief housing segregates the conductors in a substantially circular array, largely conforming to the arrangement of the conductors in a round cable.

The plug further includes a toggle stop that locks the skirt into its fully extended position for using the plug with a safety electrical outlet assembly of the present invention. The safety outlet assembly includes a cover and a receptacle adapted to be secured to an electrical junction box. The receptacle has a receiver adapted to matingly engage the skirt on the safety plug.

The biasing member may be formed as an elastically deformable member that has a bend point and is connected to the cap section proximate the finger grip member.
