  • Patent number: 11550892
Abstract: The presentation of a verifiable credential that is represented within a data structure that represents the verifiable credential as well as usage data of the verifiable credential. The usage of the verifiable credential is monitored, such that as usage of the verifiable credential changes or progresses, the stored usage data also changes. This data structure may be used to not only cause visual representations of the verifiable credential to be displayed to the user, but the user can selectively cause at least some of that usage data to also be presented to the user. Thus, the user can easily keep track of how their verifiable credential is being used, regardless of where or from which device the verifiable credential is presented.

  • Patent number: 11544513
Abstract: Systems/techniques that can facilitate video/animated QR codes are provided. In various aspects, a processor can identify a QR code. In various instances, the processor can decompose the QR code into a static fragment and a plurality of dynamic fragments. The static fragment can be a portion of the QR code that contains sufficient information to facilitate an online transaction, whereas the plurality of dynamic fragments can be a plurality of portions of the QR code that collectively contain sufficient information to facilitate an offline transaction. In various instances, the processor can sequentially render a plurality of frames on an electronic display, where each frame depicts the static fragment and a corresponding one of the plurality of dynamic fragments. Accordingly, a point-of-sale device can facilitate an online transaction by scanning one frame rendered by the processor, and/or can facilitate an offline transaction by scanning all frames rendered by the processor.

  • Patent number: 11514254
Abstract: RFID-tagged items can be filtered based on relevance estimation or user input. A device reads digital identifiers for multiple RFID-tagged items. The device estimates and selects an item that an individual desires based on one or more metrics, then presents data about the selected item to the individual. If the device receives feedback that the selected item is not the desired item, then the device may estimate and select another item and/or present information about multiple items to allow the individual to select the desired item. When the desired item is selected, the device may perform some associated action.

  • Patent number: 11475462
Abstract: Briefly, a method for verifying the visual perceptibility of a display is provided. An intended message is written to a bistable display. Pixels that comprise portions of the message are measured and evaluated to determine if the message actually displayed on the bistable display was perceptible by a human or a machine. In some cases, information regarding the message actually perceivable from the display may be stored for later use. Responsive to determining that a message is perceivable or not perceivable, alarms may be set, one or more third parties notified, or additional display features may be set.

  • Patent number: 11436459
Abstract: A method comprises providing to a processor or generating by the processor, an image, and a machine readable graphic code comprising a plurality of light pixels and a plurality of dark pixels. The processor determines whether the image and machine readable code are the same size if they are not the same size, scales or crops the image or the machine readable code such that they are the same size. The processor associates each graphic code pixel with a corresponding image pixel, each pixel having a lightness value. The processor determines for each image pixel, based on a comparison between a lightness of the image pixel and a lightness of a corresponding graphic code pixel, whether to adjust the lightness of the image pixel based on one of a low threshold lightness value and a high threshold lightness value. The lightness value is adjusted for each pixel of the image which is to be adjusted to a modified lightness value, such that a combination of the image and the graphic code is produced.

  • Patent number: 11436888
Abstract: An identification system uses a local cache for performing identifications. An identity system device may store identity information and identification information. An electronic device stores a cache of a portion of the identity information and a part of the identification information. The electronic device receives user input, determines an identity by comparing the user input to the cached identification information (such as by comparing a received digital representation of a biometric with cached biometric identification information), and performs an action using information in the cached identity information that is associated with the identity. The electronic device may update the identity information stored by the identity system device based on the action.

  • Patent number: 11409974
Abstract: Copies of a distributed ledger with multiple blocks are stored on multiple computing devices. A first computing device coming into proximity with a particular object triggers generation of a new block to the distributed ledger, the new block identifying a characteristic of the object and including a hash of a previous block of the distributed ledger. The new block is optionally verified before it is appended onto the distributed ledger and transmitted out to each of the multiple computing devices so that each copy of the distributed ledger includes the new block.
