  • Patent number: 11386387
Abstract: Systems for data measurement and collection are provided. A data collection system may comprise a database configured to store data about objects to be tracked, and optical codes corresponding to specific database entries may be generated, printed, and provided in physical proximity to the object to be tracked. When a user scans the optical code with a mobile electronic device, the mobile electronic device may automatically upload geographic information to the database and may prompt the user to enter measurement information to additionally be uploaded to the database. Sets of optical codes may be configured to collect user-specified types of data, and the optical codes may be provided in printable sheets; virtual visual representations of the sheets may be displayed on an electronic interface, and the virtual visual representations may indicate which of the codes have or have not been registered with the system.

  • Patent number: 11379853
Abstract: A Certified Quick Response Code (“CQR”) is associated with a trusted Product Certificate Authority (“PCA”), which in turn is associated with a unique top-level domain (“TLD”). A CQR affixed to a product may point to a URL comprising the unique TLD. A consumer may know by virtue of the association of the TLD with the PCA that the product is legitimate, while a product manufacturer can better monitor counterfeit goods by further associating each CQR with a universal unique identifier.

  • Patent number: 11373194
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system to establish a secure communication channel between a payment object reader and a payment terminal For this, the server determines whether a payment terminal has associated with an attestation ticket. The method further includes determining, whether to approve or deny the request for establishing the secure communication channel between the payment object reader and the payment terminal based on the attestation ticket. If the determination yields that the request has been approved, further generating a session approval interrupt having one or more session approval conditions; and sending the session approval interrupt to the payment terminal, where the session approval interrupt causes a secure communication channel to be established between the payment object reader and the payment terminal.

  • Patent number: 11348209
Abstract: An image processing method determines a geometric transform of a suspect image by efficiently evaluating a large number of geometric transform candidates in environments with limited processing resources. Processing resources are conserved by using complementary methods for determining a geometric transform of an embedded signal. One method excels at higher geometric distortion, and specifically, distortion caused by greater tilt angle of a camera. Another method excels at lower geometric distortion, for weaker signals. Together, the methods provide a more reliable detector of an embedded data signal in image across a larger range of distortion while making efficient use of limited processing resources in mobile devices.

  • Patent number: 11334857
Abstract: Tandem transactions facilitated through automatic application of a tandem transaction limit are provided. A system includes a group manager that identifies a group including respective identifications indicative of a first user and a second user. A transaction limit manager establishes a first transaction limit for the first user, a second transaction limit for the second user, and a third transaction limit for a combination of the first and second user. A transaction manager dynamically applies the third transaction limit based on a determination that the first and second user are performing a joint transaction. The transaction manager revokes the third transaction limit after a threshold time and applies the first transaction limit to first user transactions and the second transaction limit to second user transactions. Incentives are provided if a user remains at a location for a threshold amount of time or causes other users to visit the location.

  • Patent number: 11334779
Abstract: This disclosure relates to technology for embedding machine-readable labels (“MRLs”) into digital media files. Digital media files may be presented on different screen sizes, having different resolutions, different frame refresh rates and other display properties. Each screen may therefore present an MRL differently, potentially negatively impacting scan-ability of the presented MRL. Systems disclosed herein receive a set of design choices for an MRL. The systems may resize pre-existing content in one or more video frames of the media file and create a space within each video frame for displaying the MRL. The systems may render a resultant video file for a target screen size that includes a reliably scannable MRL embedded in the video frame(s).

  • Patent number: 11334868
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which cash deposits may be made at merchant locations who support such deposits. Using a mobile phone or other hand-held device, a bank customer requests a cash deposit from a banking app, receives a barcode on the mobile device, the barcode containing embedded information indicating the cash deposit amount, and presents the barcode to the merchant, along with the cash to be deposited. Once the transaction with the merchant is complete, the account of the bank customer's account is credited with the cash amount. The bank uses behavioral and historical data of the bank customer to customize a cash deposit limit for the customer.

  • Patent number: 11328139
Abstract: Systems and methods for scanning multiple items in a single swipe are disclosed herein. An example method includes capturing, by an optical imaging assembly, a plurality of images of a field of view (FOV) of the optical imaging assembly. A processor identifies a plurality of indicia from one or more images of the plurality of images. The indicia are indicative of the location of one or more objects of interest within the FOV. The processor decodes each indicia to determine information associated with the one or more objects of interest. The processor further identifies, a frame of interest in one or more images and initiates a dynamic frame that includes each frame of interest. The processor identifies, from the dynamic frame, a background region in the one or more images of the plurality of images, and the processor further removes the background region from the one or more images.

  • Patent number: 11321989
Abstract: An identification system uses a local cache for performing identifications. An identity system device may store identity information and identification information. An electronic device stores a cache of a portion of the identity information and a part of the identification information. The electronic device receives user input, determines an identity by comparing the user input to the cached identification information (such as by comparing a received digital representation of a biometric with cached biometric identification information), and performs an action using information in the cached identity information that is associated with the identity. The electronic device may update the identity information stored by the identity system device based on the action.

  • Patent number: 11301576
Abstract: A “scannable logo” image contains encoded identity data for the logo brand owner, encoded visual identification characteristics for the logo brand, an encoded GPS data corresponding to manufacturing location for a manufactured item or assembled item, plus additional embodiment dependent data. The image is scanned with the image scanning function of a mobile communication device and the encoded logo brand owner identity data, the encoded visually identifying characteristics for the logo brand, and the encoded GPS location information are decoded with a decoding function. The GPS location information is captured for the mobile communication device with the GPS function of the mobile communication device and compared to the decoded GPS location information. If the decoded information is a geo-proximal match, an authentication application is launched in the computer function of the mobile communication device.
