Abstract: A method is provided for programming step and repeat operations of a machine vision inspection system. The machine vision inspection system includes an imaging portion, a stage for holding one or more workpieces in a field of view (FOV) of the imaging portion, a control portion, and a graphical user interface (GUI). According to the method, a user operates the machine vision inspection system to define a set of inspection operations to be performed on a first configuration of workpiece features. The user also operates the GUI to display a step and repeat dialog box, in which he defines a first plurality of parameters defining a set of default step and repeat locations for performing the defined set of inspection operations. The user further operates the GUI to define a set of inspection step and repeat locations, which is a subset of the defined set of default step and repeat locations, where the inspection operations are to be actually performed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling the appearance of application windows on a computer display screen. A user identifies either an application window currently running on the computer or a new application to be started. The user also identifies a size, shape, and screen location by inputting a geometric shape, such as by drawing a rectangle with a pen or stylus input device, on the display screen. The appearance of the application window is set based on the geometric shape. The application window is resized and moved, for a currently running application, or created, for a new application, on the display screen.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for playing multimedia contents are provided. The method includes if a multimedia contents file providing the multimedia contents is loaded, detecting contents menus for controlling the multimedia contents from the multimedia contents file and displaying the contents menus; and if a specific contents menu is selected from the contents menus, providing a contents service corresponding to the selected contents menu.

Abstract: In a case where a display control apparatus displays images A and B from respective PCs, a positioning operation using a positional device is started in an area of image A and continuously preformed in the area of that image. The apparatus determines whether or not a position designated in the area of image A has a predetermined positional relationship with an area of image B, partly covering the image A. If it is determined that the designated position has the predetermined positional relationship with the area of image B, the apparatus makes image B transparent. The apparatus then issues coordinates data indicating the designated position in the area of image B, to the PC for outputting image A.

Abstract: A display device is provided for selecting a plurality of selectable symbols on an electronic display. The display device comprises an electronic display that displays a plurality of selectable symbols, a user input control device, and a processor coupled to the electronic display and the user input control device. The processor is configured to select one of the plurality of selectable symbols based on a comparison of at least two of the plurality of selectable symbols according to a predetermined priority scheme in response to a single activation of the user input control device. In addition, the processor is further configured to select an additional selectable symbol from the plurality of selectable symbols in accordance with a predetermined sequence upon further activation of the input control device.

Abstract: In a method for displaying menus on a storage automation library, a user's input to the library is processed and, in response thereto, either 1) a menu derived from a local menu structure is displayed, or 2) a remote menu mode is activated. Between activation and deactivation of the remote menu mode, the library waits for a remote host to return remote menu data. A method by which a remote host retrieves the status of such an indicator, and apparatus for implementing these and other related methods, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A content management system (CMS) monitors a user's activity for a document, generates corresponding usage data for the user, and binds the usage data to corresponding sections of the document. A relevance policy may be defined for a user and/or for a user's role. The CMS may then render the document to the user based on the usage data and the relevance policy. The rendered document may include displayed sections, hidden sections, and accentuated sections. The result is a document rendered to a user in a way that hides sections that are not of interest, displays sections of interest, and accentuates sections of high interest, all based on usage data that indicates how the document was accessed in the past.

Abstract: The present solution addresses the displaying of multiple levels of information in a constrained display footprint in a manner that allows a user to be vigilant over the information. Systems and methods are described herein for organizing data and information queries against data sources in a relational display with hierarchical grids, linked to query results, score displays, and alert monitoring. In an embodiment of the present solution, a system allows an analyst to view results and status from monitoring numerous and persistent queries against real-time data streams. Many of these queries may be inter-related and composed in a way to comprehensively analyze a problem. To display, monitor, and interact with a collection of queries, the present solution provides a relational display that makes use of a set of grids via a feature referred to as “grid of grids”. The grids may be arranged in a hierarchy of any number of levels.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes generating a list of virtual collaboration facilities associated with an authenticated user, and detecting selection of one of the virtual collaboration facilities on the list. An authenticated user can request a key to be issued to allow an unauthenticated user to gain access to the selected virtual collaboration facility.
