  • Patent number: 10020869
Abstract: A wireless repeater chain exerts frequency control. A source wireless repeater wirelessly repeats a Radio Frequency (RF) signal that comprises multiple component frequencies. A target wireless repeater wirelessly receives and processes the repeated RF signal to determine frequency responses through the wireless repeater chain for each of the multiple component frequencies. The target wireless repeater processes the frequency responses to determine frequency gains for each of the multiple component frequencies. The target wireless repeater wirelessly transfers the frequency gains for each of the multiple component frequencies for delivery to the source wireless repeater. The source wireless repeater wirelessly receives the frequency gains for each of the multiple component frequencies and responsively applies the frequency gains to the multiple component frequencies.

  • Patent number: 9992700
Abstract: A wireless device receives a message comprising a transmit power control (TPC) radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), a primary TPC index for a primary PUCCH and a secondary TPC index for a secondary PUCCH. The wireless device searches a common search space of a primary cell for a downlink control information (DCI) associated with the TPC RNTI. The DCI comprises an array of TPC commands and the secondary TPC index determines a TPC command in the array. The wireless device adjusts uplink signal transmission power of the secondary PUCCH according to the TPC command.

  • Patent number: 9992780
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for shared access systems may be used to allow operation in three-tiered shared spectrum architecture. For example, a Shared Spectrum Manager (SSM) may organize spectrum segments. The SSM may communicate with access users of different priority and may use message exchanges to request spectrum, bid for spectrum, manage spectrum, or the like. The SSM may manage admission of access users (allocation of spectrum to users) and operation with a spectrum request that may be provided as a range between a minimum (guaranteed) and maximum quality of operation. The SSM may also manage the way an access user may use the assigned spectrum. Inter-SSM communication may be used in regions where multiple SSMs may exist (e.g. country borders). Accordingly, triggers for this inter-SSM communications and corresponding actions are also disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 9979438
Abstract: Techniques for automatically configuring and controlling a digital media device are described. A digital media device can be configured or controlled by a mobile device, e.g., a smart mobile phone. When the digital media device is being configured, the digital media device can broadcast a signal, indicating that the digital media device is requesting configuration information from a mobile device. A mobile device located in proximity of the digital media device, upon detecting the signal, can perform various security checks to determine that the request is legitimate, and then open a communication channel with the digital media device. The mobile device can provide user preferences of the mobile device, as well as credentials for accessing and downloading remote content, to the digital media device through the communication channel. Upon receiving the configuration information, the digital media device can use parameters in the configuration information as its settings.

  • Patent number: 9974035
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for synchronizing communications between a parent device operating on a time-slotted channel hopping (TSCH) protocol and a low-energy network device operating on a low-energy channel hopping protocol. The parent device sub-divides TSCH timeslots and communicates with adjacent TSCH devices during a primary portion of the timeslot and listens for communications from a connected low-energy device during the secondary portion of the timeslot. Upon receiving a synchronization request from a low-energy device, the TSCH device transmits a synchronization response comprising synchronization data. The synchronization data allows the low-energy device to synchronize communications with the TSCH network by synchronizing with the channel hopping pattern of the TSCH protocol.

  • Patent number: 9900119
Abstract: Remote actuation of machines or machine systems is realized by a system for coupling a radiobeacon to a smart device and in turn to a broader network. The smart device is configured as a proximity-actuated “community nodal device” by an application that operates as part of the system.
