Abstract: A system and method for accessing a media item on a mobile device are described. The mobile device includes a media placement application and a media display application. The media placement application receives a selection of a media item generated by the mobile device. The media placement application generates access conditions for the media item based on geolocation and position information of the mobile device associated with the selected media item. The media display application monitors the geolocation and position of the mobile device and determines whether the geolocation and position of the mobile device meet the access conditions of the selected media item. The media display application generates a notification that the selected media item is available to view in a display of the mobile device in response to determining that the geolocation and position of the mobile device meet the access conditions of the selected media item.

Abstract: Determining a time-state metric includes receiving a stream of raw data values of an attribute. Each received raw data value of the attribute is associated with a timestamp. It further includes converting the received stream of raw data values into a timeline representation of the attribute over time. The timeline representation comprises a sequence of spans. A span comprises a span start time, a span end time, and a span value. The span value comprises an encoding of one or more values of the attribute over a time interval determined by the span start time and the span end time. It further includes determining a time-state metric according to a timeline request configuration. The timeline request configuration comprises one or more timeline operations. The time-state metric is computed at least in part by performing a timeline operation on the timeline representation of the attribute.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, devices, and the like for obtaining real-time estimates. In one embodiment, a novel customizable, transferable system architecture is presented that enables the characterization of a task, designated for time estimate, into steps or processes. The characterization may occur using the novel architecture which introduces an estimates service module that can provide an initial timing estimate by obtaining a composite time estimate of all steps. Timing of each of the steps can be predicted using a job scheduling enterprise designed to model the job or step. In another embodiment, delays are captured by time estimate monitors which can provide the alerts and delta time differences. Such alerts and time differences can be updated and presented to the user.

Abstract: A technique for replacing a source Virtualized Network Function Manager, VNFM, managing a source Virtualized Network Function, VNF, in a VNF based environment by a target VNFM is disclosed. A method implementation of the technique comprises the steps of triggering (S302) instantiating a target VNF, the target VNF being managed by the target VNFM and being executed in parallel to the source VNF, triggering (S304) redirecting traffic from the source VNF to the target VNF in accordance with a traffic redirection schedule, triggering (S306) terminating the source VNF when redirecting traffic from the source VNF to the target VNF is complete, and triggering (S308) terminating the source VNFM.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed monitoring network traffic using network monitoring computers. Metrics may be determined based on monitoring network traffic associated with entities in the network such that the metrics may be included in profiles associated each entity. The profiles may be compared with other profiles in a context database based on the metrics included in each profile and each other profile. In response to the profiles being unmatched by other profiles one or more active probes may be performed to collect other metrics that may be used to update profiles. In response to the one or more profiles being matched by the other profiles in the context database, a timestamp associated with the other profiles may be updated to a current time value. Reports that include information associated with the entities and the profiles or the updated profiles may be generated.

Abstract: System and method for generating a resource assignment recommendation for a data center network, including receiving a resource request for a requesting application that indicates a requested resource rate and a requested resource time for one or more network links; computing, based on historic resource utilization data for the requesting application, a predicted resource utilization for the requesting application; computing a recommendation for the resource request based on the requested resource rate, requested resource time, and the predicted resource utilization; and providing the recommendation to a resource assignment controller.

Abstract: Mobile agents can be deployed to mobile devices within specific regions of interest to achieve specific goals in respect of events occurring in the region of interest. In order to ensure that the agent can persist within the region of interest until the agent goals are achieved, the agent is configured to locate other devices within the region of interest and to propagate itself, by moving or copying itself, to those other devices. The region of interest may be a mobile and/or dynamic region of interest defined by, for example, a proximity to one or more mobile wireless access points or by an overlapping peer-to-peer communication range of a plurality of mobile devices that are configured to support the agent.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing a network conflict management service that is associated with a network management engine of a cloud computing system. In operation, cross-premises networking information is accessed at a cross-premises networking information database. The cross-premises networking information comprises on-premise network extension data associated with managing and routing on-premise networks and a cloud-provider network. Networking information for a first network is retrieved from the cross-premise networking information database. The networking information of the first network is compared to networking information of a second network, the networking information of the second network (e.g., networking information associated with a request to create the second network). Based on comparing the networking information of the first network to the networking information of the second network, a determination is made that a network conflict exists.

An application may identify, via the user interface, one or more properties defining a distribution list to assign a user of the client device. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a timeline visualization to enable users to more quickly find information and limit the amount of displayed information associated with one or more records. The timeline visualization displays events associated with a record as areas that are positioned along the timeline visualization. In some embodiments, the events displayed on the timeline visualization may be selected based on properties of the events and timeline parameters, such as dimensions of the timeline visualization and the areas to be displayed using the timeline visualization.

Abstract: An online software platform (OSP) produces, by applying resource digital rules to previous relationship instance data of a primary entity data associated with one or more secondary entities of the domain, a domain resource regarding the domain. The OSP may then determine, by applying an alignment digital rule of the domain to the relationship instance data and the domain resource, whether or not an alignment condition of the domain is met, which indicates whether resources for relationship instances of the primary entity should have been remitted to the domain. If the alignment condition is not met, then the OSP may assemble proposal components, and communicate some of them to the domain on behalf of the primary entity to remit the resources, without initially communicating those proposal components that would reveal the identity of the primary entity.
