  • Patent number: 11540161
Abstract: In a wireless communication terminal in a wireless communication system for performing a control not to transmit signals, or to transmit signals with a reduction in a transmission power by a part of radio resources for a downlink signal in a cell provided by a base station, the terminal receives control information in generating a report related to a measurement result of the cell provided by the base station, monitors a state of a radio link with an own cell, and performs measurement on reception of the downlink signal. If an instruction for restricting the measurement to a part of the radio resources is included in the control information from the base station after the radio link failure occurs, the terminal generates and transmits a radio link failure report including the measurement result in the radio resources as instructed when the radio link failure occurs.

  • Patent number: 11452090
Abstract: A base station device can transmit data via multiple data channels to a single user equipment device. Each of the multiple data channels can be configured and scheduled via respective downlink control channels to the user equipment device. In an embodiment, the first data channel can be mapped to multiple layers, with a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) assigned based on the average channel quality indicator (CQI) of the layers. One or more of the layers can have a higher CQI however, capable of supporting an additional transmission. The base station device can then facilitate establishing a second data channel to the layer with the higher CQI. The MCS assigned to the second data traffic channel can be based on the CQI of the layer, or based on a difference between the average CQI of the layers and the CQI of the layer.

  • Patent number: 11418450
Abstract: A novel method of operating a Distributed Cable Modem Termination System is provided. Each branch CMTS node in a distributed CMTS supports a complete CMTS system and with full-spectrum ports. One or more MAC domains are defined at each branch CMTS node. A MAC domain defined at a branch CMTS node includes only service flows of the CMs that are connected to the branch CMTS node. Identifiers of service flows coming from a branch CMTS node are always unique, i.e., two different service flows of the branch CMTS would always have different SIDs, even if they belong to different MAC domains. On the other hand, service flows belonging to different branch CMTS nodes are free to reuse the same identifiers.

  • Patent number: 11363615
Abstract: Communication equipment communicating in a licensed frequency band identifies unused unlicensed communication resources within an unlicensed frequency band. The communication equipment uses the identified unlicensed communication resources to communicate within the unlicensed frequency band. In some circumstances, the unused unlicensed communication resources are identified based on resource information received from a base station where the resource information identifies unlicensed communication resources that will be used by the base station. In other circumstances, the unused unlicensed communication resources are identified based on frequency band measurements of the unlicensed frequency band over an observation time duration longer than a sensing time duration used by unlicensed equipment using the unlicensed frequency band.

  • Patent number: 11343820
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of resource allocation for wireless communication are presented. In an example, a user equipment may contain radio circuitry and processing circuitry such that the user equipment is configured to obtain a set of multiple indices, where each index in the set of multiple indices corresponds to a different uplink resource allocation from a set of uplink resource allocations formed from twelve contiguous subcarriers. In an aspect, the set of uplink resource allocations includes an allocation of the twelve contiguous subcarriers, two allocations of six contiguous subcarriers, four allocations of three contiguous subcarriers, and twelve allocations of a single subcarrier. In a further aspect, the user equipment can receive an index indication corresponding to an index from the set of multiple indices from the base station. Also, the user equipment can transmit data to the base station using the resource allocation corresponding to the received index indication.

  • Patent number: 11323192
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an adaptive modulation method for a naive Bayes classifier-based energy harvesting relay system. First, a sending end determines its modulation mode based on a status of a data buffer of a relay, so that sent data does not exceed a storage capability of the relay. Then, based on data sent by the sending end, and channel status information and energy harvesting status information within a period of time, the relay determines an optimal modulation mode used by the relay within the period of time. After that, the modulation mode, the channel status information, and the energy harvesting status information are used as training data to obtain a classification model based on a naive Bayes classifier algorithm. In this way, the relay can adaptively select a modulation mode when only knowing of channel information and energy information in a current timeslot.

  • Patent number: 11129184
Abstract: If an uplink resource is not granted, wireless communication terminal, when the uplink resource occurs in the corresponding wireless communication terminal, transmits a scheduling request using a dedicated scheduling request resource of a second cell that is smaller in cell coverage than a first cell, and if grant of the uplink resource in response to the scheduling request is not performed, the wireless communication terminal transmits a random access preamble and thus performs a random access procedure that requests the grant of the uplink resource from a wireless communication device.

  • Patent number: 11115902
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may communicate with a second device, which may be a Bluetooth device, using a relay profile (e.g., a low energy (LE) isochronous (ISO) relay profile). In accordance with broadcast discovery signaling by the device and decisions made by the Bluetooth device, the device may synchronize to a broadcast isochronous stream (BIS) from another device. The device may then establish a communication link with the second device (e.g., a synchronous connection oriented (SCO) link, an enhanced synchronous connection oriented (eSCO) link, an asynchronous connection less (ACL) link) to be used for relay of the BIS. The device may then convert, based on the relay profile, broadcast isochronous data packets of the BIS to SCO packets, eSCO packets, and/or ACL packets, and relay the converted packets to the second device via the established communication link.

  • Patent number: 11115972
Abstract: A parent access node may establish a first link with a child access node. In some cases, the parent access node may determine to release a resource of the first. The parent access node may transmit downlink signaling indicating release of the resource. As such, the child node may schedule a child link resource (e.g., a parent-controlled resource) corresponding to the released resource. The child node may then communicate with a child node of its own in accordance with the scheduling of the child link resource. In some cases, the resource release indication may be associated with a one-time resource release, or may be associated with a semi-persistent release (e.g., until the parent node reclaims the released resources). In some examples, the child node may transmit an uplink message to request resources from the parent node (e.g., and the resource release may be based on the request).

  • Patent number: 11064463
Abstract: A method includes obtaining a plurality of conflict lists including a conflict list for each communication device. The method also includes obtaining resource requirement values. A resource requirement value indicates a number of orthogonal channels that are required to satisfy demand associated with a communication device. The method also includes selecting a particular communication device by using the conflict lists to perform a maximum independent set analysis based on the two or more communication devices. The method further includes assigning a set of orthogonal channels to the particular communication device. The set of orthogonal channels include a number of orthogonal channels that is based on the particular resource requirement value.
