  • Patent number: 9857129
Abstract: This Regulated Bolt Carrier is a lightweight carrier having a built-in gas regulating gate. As a drop-in assembly it enables tuning of the gas system used in firearms of the AR-15 class. Adjustments of a continuously variable nature may be made quickly through the port door without requiring disassembly of the firearm. A gas “regulator gate” located under the gas key below a gas port inside the body of the bolt carrier itself is cut as a half-moon. Rotating the regulator gate on its axis changes the position of the half-moon cutout, blocking the entry of gas into the system. The regulator gate can be set anywhere from fully open to fully closed and is held in position by a small lock screw. For maintenance, the gas regulator gate can be pushed out of its bore via an access hole on the opposite side of the bolt carrier.

  • Patent number: 9841258
Abstract: A modular dovetail rail clamping assembly includes a polymer body and a metal fixed clamp component. A threaded fastener extends through the body and into the fixed clamp component to draw the fixed clamp component into engagement with the body. The fixed clamp component and the body have mating longitudinal ridge and groove structures which rigidly fix alignment of the fixed clamp component relative to the body when assembled. A metal movable clamp component opposes the fixed clamp. A threaded clamping fastener extends through the movable clamp component and the body, and is received into the fixed clamp component to draw the movable clamp component into engagement with the body. A removable, reversible crossbar extends transversely across the body between the fixed clamp component and the movable clamp component.

  • Patent number: 9835411
Abstract: A firearm includes an integrated rail and sight system that slidably mounts to the top of the firearm and is also retractable and detachable from the firearm. The rail may slide on and off the top of the firearm and may include integrated front and rear flip down sights. Both sights are pinned to the rail and can fold down to the rail such that they are flush with or seat below the top portion of the rail. This permits accessories to be mounted to the rail without the sights interfering with the mounting of the accessories or without the sights interfering with the operation of the accessories. The firearm further includes an ambidextrous charging handle mounted through the integrated rail and sight system.

  • Patent number: 9829263
Abstract: The present invention is an instrument for the rapid firing of a self-loading firearm in a manner which was not previously possible. Some exemplary embodiments of the present invention comprise a fire control group for firearms essentially conforming to semi-automatic fire control groups as known to the art with the addition of novel features, as described herein, which temporarily transfer hammer spring force to the trigger after the firearm has fired live ammunition, resulting in the urging of the trigger to its reset position by hammer spring force. This temporary use of hammer spring force to urge the trigger to its reset position enables more controllable rapid firing of the firearm and other attributes.

  • Patent number: 9823054
Abstract: A bullet puller includes a plastic carrier tube, a metal insert, an annular segmented support, a cap, and a handle. The plastic carrier tube has an opening at its upper end adapted to receive the cartridge and a head at its lower end adapted to be struck against a hard surface. The metal insert resides atop the upper end of the plastic carrier tube thereby protecting the upper end of the plastic carrier tube during use of the bullet puller. The annular segmented support is disposed atop the metal insert for engaging the cartridge. The cap movably secures over the opening at the upper end of the plastic carrier tube for moving the annular segmented support radially inward. The handle connects at one end to the plastic carrier tube for imparting motion to the plastic carrier tube to strike it against a hard surface.

  • Patent number: 9816774
Abstract: A retractable stand comprises a base and two ribbons. Each ribbon has a coiled portion and an uncoiled portion. The uncoiled portions of the ribbons have a curved cross-sectional shape and are positioned in opposing relation to each other. Preferably, the curved cross-sectional shape of each uncoiled portion defines a convex surface and a concave surface, and the convex surfaces are in facing relation to each other. In one embodiment, the retractable stand further comprises a foot brace secured to free ends of the ribbons. Preferably, the foot brace includes an arm movable relative to the ribbons. The present invention further provides a method of supporting a device above a surface using the above retractable stand. The method includes uncoiling the two ribbons, resting the brace on the surface, and supporting the device on the retractable stand. • Patent number: 9784548
Abstract: A vented pyrotechnic device is provided that hermetically seals the pyrotechnic material contained therein under ambient storage conditions, but vents upon exposure to elevated-temperature conditions at or below the outgassing temperature for the pyrotechnic material. The vent passage communicating the chamber containing the pyrotechnic material with the exterior of the device is initially sealed at ambient storage conditions by a temperature-sensitive material. When exposed to a predetermined temperature condition, the temperature-sensitive material undergoes a physical change unblocking the passage and permitting venting of off gases produced by the pyrotechnic material.
