A threaded aperture is disposed through a rear portion of the mounting clamp, and a plate screw is threadably engaged within the threaded aperture. A mounting plate is disposed between each of a front portion and the rear portion of the mounting clamp. The mounting plate is attached to a tip of the plate screw. A muzzle rest is disposed on a middle portion of the mounting clamp. An elevation support arm is hingedly attached to the rear portion of the mounting clamp. A padded support member is disposed on the elevation support arm. An elevation locking mechanism is configured to selectively lock the elevation support arm into one of a plurality of heights relative to the muzzle rest.
Abstract: A firearm trigger assembly is disclosed. The disclosed assembly may include a trigger, a disconnect, and a hammer, each of which may be configured to be spring loaded when installed in a firearm receiver. Installation of the trigger assembly in a firearm receiver may include pivotally coupling the trigger and disconnect to the firearm receiver using a trigger pivot pin, and pivotally coupling the hammer to the firearm receiver using a hammer pivot pin. The trigger may include an integral sear feature configured to provide a mechanical stop to the hammer. The disconnect may be configured to be at least partially located in a disconnect slot located alongside or adjacent to the trigger sear feature when the disconnect is pivotally coupled to the trigger. The disconnect and hammer may each include integral cam features configured to buffer hammer contact during firearm recoil.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that alert a firearm operator when the firearm is low on ammunition. As the operator expends ammunition, the system tracks the ammunition level and provides a visual indication within the operator's field of view when an aiming device of the firearm is being employed. In this manner, the operator's attention need not be diverted from the aiming device, yet the operator is simultaneously notified as to the ammunition status.
Abstract: A hammer strut support (150, 156, 160, 162, 166) in a firearm which supports or aligns a free end (134) of a pivotally mounted hammer strut (116), and physically blocks it from becoming lodged in a position, typically under a crosspin (120) such as a sear spring stop pin, that would preclude subsequent proper reassembly of firearm, unless un-lodged and properly repositioned. It is sandwiched in, and may also envelop, firearm structure. Upper surface (154) of hammer strut support may also have a guide channel (164) to align hammer strut (116).
Abstract: A removable rail for mounting over an AK iron sight assembly of an AK type rifle includes a pair of brackets that fit outer side surfaces of an AK iron sight assembly. At least one pressure clamp is disposed on a side of at least one bracket of the pair of brackets. When the pressure clamp is in an open position, the pair of brackets can be slid over the AK iron sight assembly for mounting or for removal. When the pressure clamp is in a closed position, the pair of brackets are held in a non-moving engagement with the outer side surfaces of the AK iron sight assembly. A fixed AK rail, another type of AK rail, and a method for adding a small arms accessory rail system to an AK rifle by mounting a rail over an AK iron sight assembly are also described.
Abstract: A perforating gun that has a detonator section in which a window is formed is assembled by: disposing a detonating cord in an inner bore of the perforating gun; fixing a clip to a detonator; gripping the clip with an installation tool; inserting the clip laterally through the window of the detonator section using the installation tool; and attaching the clip to the detonator cord by pressing the clip against the detonator cord using the installation tool. The clip has a planar base, an opening formed in the base for receiving the detonator, and a pair of prongs extending from the base, wherein each prong of the pair of prongs extends from an edge of the base and has a gripping end.

Abstract: A tunable muzzle compensator for a firearm that includes a tube that extends the barrel of the weapon by fitting over the muzzle. This center tube includes one or more holes along its length. One or more removable sections that have gas exit ports at various predetermined angles fit over the center section. Removable sections can be rotated to either turn off top holes on the center tube or to choose different angles of gas discharge The total effect of all the removable sections represents a particular tuning for the weapon. The weapon can be very quickly tuned on the range or in the field to compensate for weight of the projectile, the charge, and the shooting style by simply replacing and/or reversing removable sections with sections that have different angles of discharge.
