  • Patent number: 11647256
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying and correlating an advertised object with a plurality of interconnected computing devices embedded in a living environment of the user. For example, a media guidance application implemented at a set-top box with a television may receive a signal from a printer indicating that cartridge ink is low. When the user is watching a television show and an advertisement relating to printer cartridges is being played, the media guidance application may identify that the advertised printer cartridges may be something that the user needs, and may then send a notification to a user of the advertisement. In this way, the media guidance application correlates advertisements from a media asset with a user's actual needs, which may improve the advertisement conversion rate for advertisers.

  • Patent number: 11601688
Abstract: A test module for functionally testing an audio device of an aircraft passenger service unit (PSU) is configured to allocate a first operating mode to a first individual audio device of one PSU of a set of PSUs during which, a test tone is emitted. The test module allocates a second operating mode to other audio devices different than the first audio device. In the second operating mode, the test tone emitted by the first audio device is intended to be received. The other audio devices each belong to different PSUs within the set of PSUs. The test module emits the test tone via the first audio device. The test module initiates a functional test of the first audio device. The functional test is based on the test tone received by the other audio devices. The test module may be part of a system and an aircraft.

  • Patent number: 11587415
Abstract: Provided is a data stream allocation system capable of suppressing inequality in processing loads on a plurality of servers and delays in analysis processing at the servers when the servers analyze the objects of analysis using data streams obtained from a plurality of camera systems. The allocation determination unit 4 allocates data streams obtained from a plurality of camera systems to a plurality of servers according to the unevenness in the number of objects in the surveillance region. Then, the distribution unit 5, in accordance with the results of the allocation of the data streams to the plurality of servers, distributes each of the data streams obtained from the camera systems to the server to which the data stream has been allocated.

  • Patent number: 11589087
Abstract: An ad in a movie can be a static ad having a position in the movie that cannot be moved, or a dynamic ad having a position in the movie that can be changed. When a viewer wishes to skip a portion of the movie containing the ad, the playback system determines whether the ad is static or dynamic. If the ad is static, only the portion of the movie preceding the static ad can be skipped; the ad is unskippable. This technique is referred to as “bounceback” since the end of the skip bounces back to the start of the static ad. If the ad is dynamic, it is moved to after the end of the skip. This technique is referred to as “slip-ad” since the ad slips to later in the movie. When a movie has multiple ads, some can be static and some can be dynamic.

  • Patent number: 11417098
Abstract: An apparatus including a location device and a processor. The location device may be configured to determine location coordinates of the apparatus. The processor may be configured to receive video frames captured by a capture device, perform video analysis on the video frames to detect objects in the video frames and extract metadata corresponding to the objects detected in the video frames, correlate the metadata with the location coordinates, determine a distance from the apparatus to the objects in the video frames and calculate an absolute location of the objects in response to the distance and the location coordinates. The distance may be determined by comparing a size of the objects detected in the video frames with a known size of the objects. The absolute location for the objects in the video frames may be added to the metadata.
