  • Patent number: 9893997
Abstract: A system for creating a session entry and forwarding an IP packet includes memories that store session and session template tables, and first and second processors in communication with the memories. When the first processor receives the IP packet, it determines whether the session table includes a session entry corresponding to the IP packet. If the session table does not include the session entry, the first processor determines whether the session template table includes a session template entry corresponding to the IP packet. The first processor generates the session entry using the session template entry and the IP packet. If the session template table does not include the session template entry, the first processor forwards the IP packet to the second processor, which generates the session template entry and the session entry.

Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method in a mobility management node for handling information in a network. The node is associated with a wireless device being served by a serving network. The node obtains information about that at least one of the serving network and a time zone and a UCI, has been changed for the device, and information about that the change has not been transmitted to a SGW. When at least one of the serving network and the time zone and the UCI, has been changed, and information about the change has not been transmitted to the SGW, the node transmits the information about at least one of the changed serving network and time zone and UCI, to the SGW, enabling the SGW to forward this information to a PGW.

  • Patent number: 9888450
Abstract: A method of detecting a synchronization signal at a device-to-device (D2D) user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes receiving a primary sidelink synchronization signal (PSSS), determining a normalized carrier frequency offset (CFO) from an initial CFO, determining hypothesis test levels from the normalized CFO, and performing correlation using the received PSSS, a first sequence, a second sequence, a first sequence shifted per hypothesis test level and a second sequence shifted per hypothesis test level. When the number of hypothesis test levels is greater than 1, the shifted first sequence and the shifted second sequence having a complex conjugate relation in a predetermined normalized CFO value are correlated via the same correlator.

  • Patent number: 9872184
Abstract: In scenarios where the quality of service is negotiated through a signalling layer whereas the services are actually carried through a bearer layer, application functions at the signalling layer are not always aware of how quality of service is individually accomplished at the bearer layer on a service basis. The invention provides a method and devices whereby events are detected on a service data flow basis at a detection device in the bearer layer and notified towards an application device in the signalling layer via a control device between the signalling and the bearer layer. The list of events to be notified is obtainable at the control device from the application device and is included in Quality of Service related rules, along with service data flow filters. This Quality of Service related rules are provided to the detection device for inspecting individual service data flows in order to detect and notify the indicated events.

  • Patent number: 9871748
Abstract: A method has provides a router having an input, an output, and a shared memory. The router also has a forwarding path to forward a plurality of packets from the input to the output, and a service path to manage statistical data relating to packets forwarded through the forwarding path. The forwarding path has a counter to count aggregate packet information relating to the plurality of packets it forwards. Next, the method counts, using the counter(s), aggregate packet information relating to the packets forwarded through the forwarding path to produce count information. After producing the count information, the method uses the forwarding path to store the count information in the shared memory of the router, and then causes the service path to retrieve the count information from the shared memory. The service path ultimately produces statistical information using the count information retrieved from the shared memory.

  • Patent number: 9872316
Abstract: Enhanced random access procedures for link-budget-limited user equipment (UE) devices are disclosed. A user equipment device may transmit a first message containing a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The PRACH contains instances of a Zadoff-Chu sequence, and may be transmitted repeatedly as part of a single random attempt, to facilitate correlation data combining at the base station. The available Zadoff-Chu sequences may be partitioned among a plurality of sets, each set being associated with a respective Doppler shift range (or frequency hop pattern or time repetition pattern). A UE device may signal Doppler shift (or other information) to the base station by selection of one of the sets. The first PRACH transmission and the following PRACH transmission may occur in consecutive subframes. A UE device may select from a special set of Zadoff-Chu sequences (different from a conventional set of sequences), to signal its status as a link-budget-limited device.

  • Patent number: 9871601
Abstract: Method for testing a radio frequency (RF) data packet signal transceiver device under test (DUT) including communicating via each one of multiple available signal channels. Data packets exchanged between a tester and DUT as a normal part of a communication link initiation sequence are exchanged in such a manner that the tester transmits with varied signal power via all available channels simultaneously, thereby ensuring that a properly working DUT will transmit in response to reception of tester data packets having sufficient signal power. For example, in the case of a Bluetooth low energy transceiver, advertisement, scan request and scan response data packets can be used in such manner.
