  • Patent number: 11071002
Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to obtain access to an unlicensed frequency channel of the unlicensed frequency spectrum in the event of channel access failures. The apparatus performs a radio link monitoring (RLM) for a first unlicensed frequency channel of an unlicensed frequency spectrum for a transmission from a first base station. The apparatus determines that the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for the transmission based on a comparison of one or more of a reference signal received power (RSRP), a reference signal received quality (RSRQ), a received signal strength indicator (RSSI), a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR), a signal to noise ratio (SNR), or a channel occupancy or interference metric to a corresponding threshold. The apparatus sends a report to the first base station indicating a failure of the transmission upon determining that the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for the transmission.

  • Patent number: 11057809
Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to obtain access to an unlicensed frequency channel of the unlicensed frequency spectrum in the event of channel access failures. The apparatus receives a configuration from a first base station to perform a conditional handover. The apparatus determines a first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for a transmission to the first base station or from the first base station. The apparatus switches from the first unlicensed frequency channel to a second cell for communication through the second cell in the conditional handover upon receiving the configuration and upon determining that the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for the transmission.

  • Patent number: 11032665
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards user equipment (UE) geolocation. A machine learning model can be trained to estimate UE locations based on historical network communication data associated with the UEs. In order to train the machine learning model, known previous UE locations and corresponding historical network communication data can be provided to the machine learning model. A variety of other information, such as topographical information, can also be provided to the machine learning model. The machine learning model can be trained to predict the known previous UE locations based on the corresponding historical network communication data and any other provided information. Once it is trained, the machine learning model can be deployed to estimate real-time UE locations based on historical network communication data associated with the UEs.

  • Patent number: 11026063
Abstract: A miniaturized multiprotocol audio/voice internet-of-things device (MAVID) initiates a wireless call in response to a command received from a first user. The MAVID carries out the wireless call between the first user and a second user. The wireless call utilizes wireless protocols such as WiFi, Bluetooth, third generation mobile technology (3G), fourth generation mobile technology (4G), and Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT). The MAVID performs an in-call interaction, such as connecting to and utilizing an internet-based application or controlling a consumer electronic device, in response to a voice command from either the first user or the second user, while carrying out the wireless call.

  • Patent number: 11012865
Abstract: A method and system is provided for enabling spectrum sensing capability in a network having at least one primary user and a plurality of secondary users configured to communicate using a shared spectrum. The methods and systems include receiving values from sensors corresponding to received signal strength from a primary user in one or more frequencies of the shared spectrum. The values are used to interpolate at least one additional value between the sensors. A detection threshold is determined for sensing a signal transmitted from the primary user based on an acceptable amount of interference. The primary user is then determined to be transmitting in the one or more frequencies of the shared spectrum if any of the values received from the plurality of sensors or the at least one additional value interpolated along the path exceeds the detection threshold.

  • Patent number: 10999708
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to a tracking objects using a cognitive heterogeneous ad hoc mesh network. Participant objects transmit notification signals to inform other participant objects in line-of-sight of their position and movement. The participants also utilize echoes of the notification signals to detect and estimate the position and movement of non-participant objects. Participant objects can then share this positional information with one another to refine the estimated position and movement of non-participant objects. The position of each other participant and non-participant object is updated based on an individualized update rate that dynamically changes based on the distance and velocity of closure between the participant and the other participant or non-participant object.

  • Patent number: 10999790
Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the selection of a cell of a wireless telecommunications network to which a User Equipment (“UE”) should connect. The UE may receive radio frequency (“RF”) signals from a group of cells (e.g., implemented by Radio Units (“RUs”)) of a radio access network (“RAN”), and may determine signal strengths or measures of channel quality associated with the RF signals. For example, the UE may determine a rate of change of signal strengths over time associated with each cell, a differential rate of change, or some other value, and may select the cell based on the respective rates of change. For example, the UE may select a particular cell which exhibits the lowest differential rate of change of signal strengths over time. A particular cell may be implemented, for example, by a mobile RU mounted on a vehicle that maintains relatively close proximity to UE.

  • Patent number: 10979413
Abstract: An MR code is generated within a browser on a client device and is read by a mobile application on a mobile device. A communication channel is then established through a web-based service, between the browser and the mobile application on the mobile device. The mobile application generates a user interface display on the mobile device that allows user selection of content. The mobile application sends a link to that content to the browser, which accesses and renders the content on the client device. User input commands to control the rendered content are also received at the mobile device and sent to the browser through the communication channel.

  • Patent number: 10959117
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure include, for example, identifying a primary serving cell and a secondary serving cell, wherein the primary serving cell facilitates one of attachment, re-attachment or mobility, or any combination thereof, of a mobile device in association with coordination of a wireless service between the primary serving cell, the secondary serving cell and the mobile device. A latency value associated with a message exchange is determined between the primary and secondary serving cells via a messaging interface, and compared to latency requirements, which correspond to a group of mobile service features. A mobile service feature of the group is associated with the wireless service based on the comparison. The wireless service includes a coordinated exchange of wireless signals between the primary serving cell and the mobile device and between the secondary serving cell and the mobile device based on the mobile service feature. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10798239
Abstract: A connection manager manages connections for associated user devices by determining whether an incoming connection has been answered at a user device, and if so then generating and transmitting silencing commands to associated user devices using first and second wireless communication modes, with one mode being faster. Connections can comprise phone calls, and modes can comprise push and Bluetooth® messaging. The connection manager can instruct device outputs to provide connection alerts, limited to visual alerts when an associated user device is active, listen for associated user device communications, and instruct device outputs to stop providing alerts when a silencing command is received. Further, a connection manager can receive a signal regarding a headset status, route an outside connection from a phone to the headset when the headset is active or to another device when the headset is not active, detect a change in headset status, and reroute the connection accordingly.
