  • Patent number: 4213401
Abstract: A support arrangement for a workpiece table of a gear testing machine which is mounted at a machine frame by means of an antifriction bearing arrangement to be rotatable about a vertical axis. Between the machine frame and the workpiece table there are arranged, coaxial with the antifrication bearing arrangemement, two support rings which can be rotated relative to one another between a rest position and a support position and vice versa. These support rings engage with one another by means of a number of pairs of complementary inclined surfaces which ascend opposite to the direction of rotation from the support position to the rest position and can be moved, by relative rotation, out of the rest position where they enable the workpiece table to rest upon the antifriction bearing arrangement, into the support position where they relieve the antifriction bearing arrangement from the load of the workpiece table.

  • Patent number: 4204713
Abstract: Apparatus for attaching a molded bicycle saddle cover to its companion base member. The attaching apparatus includes at least one prong member fixedly attached to the base member at a predetermined spaced distance inwardly of a downwardly extending flange which is integrally provided along the entire periphery of the base member. The prong structure cooperates with the flange in defining a narrow channel which snugly receives a folded flap portion that is integrally provided along the entire periphery of the cover, i.e., the folded flap portion contiguously engages the flange. The cover is formed from a substance wherein the flap portion is somewhat inherently resilient in nature while the thickness of the flap portion is sufficient so as to impart a degree of yieldable stiffness thereto, thus contributing significantly to the effectiveness of the attachment apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4204632
Abstract: An indicating assembly designed to be used primarily with container assemblies of the type used for mail depositories installed in multi unit apartment houses, condominiums, or like multi unit dwellings. A switch installed in direct association with the opening of the main unit of the apartment complex, wherein the switch is interconnected in circuit between a power source and an electromagnetic indication device. Opening of the switch and thereby breaking of the circuit is caused by the post office delivery opening the main assembly normally required for the disposition of mail in the individual mail boxes or compartments. Breaking of the circuit causes disengagement of the electromagnetic device with a base element formed from magnetically attracted material such as metal.
