Abstract: Implementations relate to an automated assistant that can automate repeatedly performed procedures. The automation can involve communicating with different users, organizations, and/or other automated assistants. The automated assistant, with prior permission from respective user(s), can detect repeated performance of a particular series of manually initiated computational actions. Based on this determination, the automated assistant can determine automated assistant computational action(s) that can be performed by the automated assistant in order to reduce latency in performing a procedure, reduce quantity and/or size of transmissions in performing the procedure, and/or reduce an amount of client device resources required for performing the procedure. Such actions can include communicating with an additional automated assistant that may be associated with another user and/or organization.

Abstract: A method of training a gesture-based access control system includes repetitiously performing an intentional gesture indicative of an intentional gesture type by a user of a mobile device. The intentional gesture is representative of an intent of the user to gain access. The application then forms a model of the selected intentional gesture type from the repetitious performances of the intentional gesture. The model is configured to be applied by the software-based application to confirm future performances of the intentional gesture.

Abstract: A page element display method and an electronic device (100 or 1500) are provided. The method includes: The electronic device (100 or 1500) displays a first interface, where the first interface includes a first page element (1401); the electronic device (100 or 1500) detects a first operation performed by a user on the first page element (1402); the electronic device (100 or 1500) adjusts a size of the first page element in response to the first operation (1403); and the electronic device (100 or 1500) automatically displays a second interface after adjusting the size of the first page element. Abstract: Utilization of a selection ring to select icons is provided herein. The selection ring is presented in a first graphical user interface. In response to receiving a first selection of the selection ring by a user, a plurality of icons are presented in the first graphical user interface. User manipulation of a position of the selection ring within the first graphical user interface is received, where that manipulation occurs without altering a location of the plurality of icons being presented within the first graphical user interface. In response to receiving a second selection associated with the selection ring, an icon from the plurality of icons is selected based on the position of the selection ring within the first graphical user interface. A second graphical user interface is then presented to the user based on the selected icon.

Abstract: Techniques for coordinating movements of various objects in an electronic document are disclosed. A first-type object remains stationary so that it becomes outside a content boundary of the electronic document, as the content boundary is pulled inside an edge of a window displaying the electronic document. A second-type object remains stationary until the content boundary reaches the edge of the window and then moves along with the scrolled electronic document as the content boundary is pulled inside the edge of the window. A third-type object and a fourth-type object may show different movement behaviors.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an unbalanced sample classification method and an unbalanced sample classification apparatus. The method includes: obtaining unbalanced sample data; calculating a sample contribution rate based on the sample data and the characteristic data; filtering out a part of the sample data within a preset sample contribution threshold according to the sample contribution rate to determine as target sample data; and inputting the target sample data into a sample classification model to calculate a sample classification result through a classification algorithm. By using two variables of the characteristic value contribution rate and the characteristic contribution rate, the characteristics and samples with low contribution rate for classification are eliminated to effectively reducing the processing of unbalanced sample data, and a machine learning classification algorithm can be used on this basis to adopt the effective characteristics or samples to achieve efficient classification.

Abstract: A control bar for element activation is described. A design interface for editing digital content includes at least a first control bar and a second control bar. The first control bar is associated with a first element of the digital content and the second control bar is associated with a second element of the digital content that at least partially overlaps the first element in the digital content. The control bars are configured to remain visible and selectable in the design interface while editing the digital content. User input to select the first control bar or the second control bar is received, and the respective first element or second element associated with the selected control bar is activated responsive to the user input. The activating changes a visual appearance of both the selected control bar and the activated element and enables user interaction with the activated element.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining attention based on user interactions. While content is being presented by a client device, an attention determination system causes presentation of a prompt object on a display of the client device. The prompt object starts from an entry point and traverses a path across the display. While the prompt object is traversing the path across the display, the attention determination system detects a user input at a point on the display that is within a threshold distance of a current position of the prompt object along the path. The attention determination system determines an attention level of a user of the client device based on the user input.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of systems and methods that allow for simplified creation of a calendar event. In embodiments, an entry may be provided via a simplified entry form. In embodiments, the present invention simplifies the creation of an event through natural language parsing. Embodiments may enable creation of an event for a calendaring application and/or within an application that is not primarily a calendaring application, such as, by way of example, an email application, an SMS/text messaging application, an instant messaging (IM) application, and a social networking application.

Abstract: Data on entities and how they are associated with other entities may be aggregated from multiple sources and reconciled. The aggregated data may be presented in a dashboard with a graphical user interface (GUI) that represents entities (e.g., nodes) and associations (e.g., edges) as distinguishable graphical elements that are individually selectable. Different nodes/edges may have distinct graphical representations that correspond with certain characteristics of the nodes/edges. The dashboard may include multiple dynamically-updated panes that may be populated with different information depending on a user's interaction with the GUI and/or depending on information received from various sources. A first entity's connection to or involvement in certain activities may be more readily understood by interactively examining not just the first entity's relationship with a second entity, but also the second entity's relationship with a third entity which is not directly related to the first entity.

Abstract: In an example, a graphical user interface can be used to display a graphical representation of a virtual reference structure for an anatomic structure, the reference structure being determined from geometry of the anatomic structure. A location parameter along the reference structure is determined in response to a first user input from a user input device. A graphical proxy marker is displayed on the graphical representation of the reference structure based on the location parameter. A fixed location is selected along the reference structure for a final graphical marker in response to a second user input from the from the user input device. An output visualization is generated to include at least one view of the anatomic structure and a graphical representation of the final graphical marker at the fixed location.

Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to transitioning a computing device between operating modes according to whether the computing device is suitably oriented for received non-audio related gestures. For instance, the user can attach a portable computing device to a docking station of a vehicle and, while in transit, wave their hand near the portable computing device in order to invoke the automated assistant. Such action by the user can be detected by a proximity sensor and/or any other device capable of determining a context of the portable computing device and/or an interest of the user in invoking the automated assistant. In some implementations location, orientation, and/or motion of the portable computing device can be detected and used in combination with an output of the proximity sensor to determine whether to invoke the automated assistant in response to an input gesture from the user.
