Each choke consists of a ferromagnetic toroidal core, with coaxial cable being wound about each toroidal core. The filter device attenuates secondary RF signals carried by the shielding of the coaxial cable that interfere with the primary signals carried by the cable's center conductor.

    Abstract: A waveguide slotted array is disclosed, employing compound slots in a waveguide broad wall. The phase of the voltage excited in the slot is controlled by the slot offset and angle of inclination relative to the axis. Utilization of the additional phase control provided by the compound slots allows the beam of a traveling wave slot array to be placed far from broadside, without the need to operate the array at frequencies so close to the waveguide cutoff frequency that there is unacceptable frequency sensitivity. The beam may be placed at any angle independently of which end of the array contains the input and which end the load.

    Abstract: A microwave tube similar in structure to a magnetron includes an output port and a separate input port. The tube includes a cathode, a reentrant anode circuit and means for producing crossed electric and magnetic fields in an interaction space between the cathode and the anode circuit. The microwave tube can be used as an injection-locked or injection-primed oscillator or as an amplifier. An input signal coupling network substantially blocks transfer of internally-generated RF energy at the operating frequency in a reverse direction through the input port toward the input signal source. The input coupling network includes an anode loop coupled between two points of equal phase and magnitude in the standing wave which exists on the anode circuit, and an input loop positioned for inductive coupling of the input signal to the anode loop. The input signal can be coupled to the input loop with a coaxial transmission line, a ridge waveguide or a twin-wire transmission line.

    Abstract: An integrated electromagnetic interference filter includes an inductor assembly for attenuating both common mode and differential mode electromagnetic interference conducted emissions from electronic equipment. The inductor assembly includes an outer core of permeable material defining an outer window, and an inner core of permeable material disposed in the outer window and defining an inner window. A first power lead for connecting the equipment to a source of electrical power includes a portion wound in one direction about only the outer core. The inductor assembly includes a second power lead for connecting the equipment to the source of electrical power with a portion of the second lead wound about both the inner and outer cores in the opposite direction to the winding of the portion of the first power lead. The outer core provides a magnetic path for the attenuation of common mode emissions and the inner core provides a magnetic path for the attenuation of differential mode noise.

The delay characteristic of the line is adjusted by varying the varactor's biasing voltage which, in turn, varies the varactor's capacitance.     Abstract: A dielectric filter having band elimination characteristics includes a resonance circuit with a coupling terminal. A proximal portion of the coupling terminal and a ground electric potential portion of the filter are opposed in the vertical direction, and a stray capacitance element and an external coupling element are provided in the vertical direction between them. Thus it is possible to effect the mounting operation by first stacking the stray capacitance element and the external coupling element on the ground portion and on top of those securing the proximal portion of the coupling terminal. This structure simplifies the soldering and assembling operation, and also improves mass production.
