Abstract: One embodiment takes the form of a method carried out by a base station. The method includes the base station serving a wireless communication device (WCD) on a given air-interface resource. While serving the WCD, the base station may receive a data packet from the WCD. In response, the base station may update the data packet to include an indication of the given air-interface resource on which the base station is serving the WCD. The base station may then transmit the updated data packet for receipt by one or more gateways.

  • Patent number: 9374814
Abstract: The present application relates to the field of communications, and disclosed are a DCI transmission method and device under cross-band carrier aggregation. The method is: for LTE-A UE which aggregates carriers having different TDD uplink/downlink configurations, according to a pre-arranged rule or high-layer signaling configuration information, determining whether a DAI and a UL index are contained in a DCI format which is used by a PDCCH for scheduling a PUSCH, and determining a CSS and a USS respectively and separately. Accordingly, it can be ensured that the size of a DCI which is transmitted in a CSS does not change, thus ensuring the normal transmission of common cell information, and at the same time, in a USS, according to the actual needs, a specific bit field in the DCI can be determined rationally, thus supporting the UL multi-frame scheduling and/or the resource overhead control of an ACK/NACK over a PUSCH.

In one aspect, a mobile device may access a historical transmission power associated with a current state of the mobile device, with the historical transmission power based on mobility patterns of the mobile device. Based at least in part on the accessed historical transmission power, the mobile device may predict a current random access transmission power of the mobile device, where the predicted current random access transmission power is configured to elicit a random access response from a base station. In one aspect, the techniques described herein may reduce a number of power ramp steps taken by the mobile device during a random access procedure, reduce interference from the mobile device during the random access procedure, or both based on the predicted current random access transmission power.

  • Patent number: 9325611
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method configures a network to route data on a first network service that connects a user's network with a service provider network. In the method, an instruction to route data from the network addressed to a hostname on the first network service is received. According to the hostname, a first IP address that addresses a server identified by the hostname is determined. A second IP address is also determined as the second IP address of the specific network service. Finally a message is sent to the user's network that specifically instructs the user's network to route data addressed to the first IP address to the second address. The message causes configuration of a router on the user's network to route data on the first network service. System and computer program product embodiments are also disclosed.
