Abstract: Some embodiments provide an ARP-offload service node for several managed hardware forwarding elements (MHFEs) in a datacenter in order to offload ARP query processing by the MHFEs. The MHFEs are managed elements because one or more network controllers (e.g., one or more management servers) send configuration data to the MHFEs to configure their operations. In some of these embodiments, the network controllers configure the MHFEs to create logical forwarding elements (e.g., logical switches, logical routers, etc.) each of which can span two or more managed forwarding elements.
Abstract: For a managed network including multiple host machines implementing multiple logical networks, some embodiments provide a method that reduces the memory and traffic load required to implement the multiple logical networks. The method generates configuration data for each of multiple host machines including (i) data to configure a host machine to implement a set of logical forwarding elements that belong to a set of routing domains and (ii) identifiers for each routing domain in the set of routing domains. The method then receives data regarding tunnels endpoints operating on each of the host machines and an association with the routing identifiers sent to the host machines. The method then generates a routing domain tunnel endpoint list for each routing domain based on the data received from each of the host machines including a list of the tunnel endpoints associated with the routing domain which the host machines can use to facilitate packet processing.

Abstract: A hop-by-hop trust evaluation scheme (H-TEA) is disclosed that can be used to route a data packet between a set of network nodes in an identity anonymous wireless sensor network. The H-TEA scheme is a complete localized approach for each network node to determine a trustworthiness reputation of the data packet for routing without requiring a recommendation from another node or any historical information about the other node. In the H-TEA scheme, the trustworthiness reputation of the packet is evaluated based on one or more of four verification processes: a data quality verification process, a location verification process, a time verification process, and a travel direction verification process. The H-TEA scheme can be implemented to preform network data management and network data security in a wireless sensor network with a resource constraint and requires anonymity.
Abstract: A communication timing control method for a communication service system provided with wireless communication devices, a wireless network, and an upper server groups the wireless communication devices using device information including characteristics of a service provided to the wireless communication devices entering the communication service system via the wireless network, characteristics of communication data handled in an execution application for receiving the provided service, and transfer characteristics of the wireless communication devices receiving the provided service. Next, a group-specific communication timing is determined for the grouped wireless communication devices. Next, communication is performed on the basis of the determined communication timing.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of configuring transmission data streams and a wireless communication system. A first wireless device of the wireless communication system determines a number of data streams for a second wireless device, under a condition that the first wireless device operates in a noncontiguous operation mode. Radio frequency (RF) units of the wireless devices are fully exploited, and the data rate between the first wireless device and the second wireless device is enhanced.
Abstract: A dynamic wireless multicast service system is described. A method includes transmitting in a first service area, multicast data using a first orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) resource block associated with first resource allocation control information in response to a first user request for a multicast service. Abstract: A device, a method and a user equipment (UE) for a wireless communication system, the device including: a UE parameters acquisition unit configured to obtain UE parameters from a UE; a master UE determination unit configured to determine a master UE on the basis of the proximity of the UE to a data stream center, as shown by the UE parameters, the master UE being connected to an associated infrastructure and being provided with functionalities to forward data and/or signaling to other UEs; a communication unit configured to transmit to UEs network control signaling including information relating to the master UE. The device makes possible dynamic network planning while taking account of both network capacity and user equity, thereby improving resource utilization rates.
Abstract: A UE is configured to function as a relay on behalf of a donor access node. The donor access node can dynamically adjust scheduling of resources to the relay UE based on a size of a buffer associated with the relay UE. The donor access node monitors a size of the buffer and, if the size exceeds a threshold, assigns a greater scheduling weight to the relay UE. Similarly, when the buffer size associated with the relay UE drops below a threshold, the scheduling weight may be lowered. The buffer may include any combination of a downlink buffer stored on the donor access node or an uplink buffer stored on the relay UE.
